If I can afford it at some point I will attempt to buy one of the dji pro controllers like you did. So done with the phone app system makes the whole flying dji too stressful.
Can the DJI Fly app also automatically eliminate propeller noise and merge your audio track with your footage to ensure clear sound even when shooting low-altitude vlogs?
My tip for catching a drone: Let it hover at a position where you can grab it. Reach out to grab it but DON’T move it from that position! Hold it steady in place where it was hovering and THEN throttle down without moving the drone. The gyro/gps won’t fight you then which normally try to make it hold/return to that last position using high power.
@@realiouslytv1711 This is good for smaller drones. Larger drones will try to “self correct” with a lot more power so be aware! It does work but use caution.
Very expensive honestly. Had to sell a few RCs to help buy this, but that’s how this hobby goes. One day, I’ll probably sell this to help buy an even newer drone. Good news is they hold their value pretty well. 👍😁😎⚓️
I agree that vertical (portrait mode) videos are for children that do not know how to operate a camera! That's why televisions and computer screens are typically horizontal (landscape mode) like your eyes, side by side, not up and down.
So I have been watching y’all for a short time. I have been wanting to purchase this drone since it came out but I was not going to get it until you reviewed it. I am glad that you approve of it! Now I will get it. Love the videos! Keep them coming!

Hi guys, have not watched your channel in a while but I’m back. Bought the Mini3 Pro with the RC controller like you guys and loving it way more than all the rc models I’ve owned. This thing is not just entertaining but it’s a tool to complement my photography hobby as well. That vertical portrait mode is just awesome for capturing panos in a way that’s impossible to do with my regular camera👍👍
AWESOME drone...REALLY!! WHAT a NICE, RELAXING ride and gorgeous footage!! VERY THERAPEUTIC!! GREAT job Saylors and thanks for taking away today's stress!! 💟👍😘
Glad I watched this to know about the update, I just ordered one, would have hated to get out to my cabin then find out it needs an update where I have no service or internet. Great content love you guys.
So happy that we could help! It honestly makes my day knowing one of our videos helped someone, even in a “small” way like this. Hope you enjoy your trip and your new drone! 👍😁😎⚓️
A very solid drone so we’ve heard. That is one that we skipped, but only because they release them so often. Too expensive. Did you see the Prime Day sale on the Mini 2?
For any New DJI Owner, Top Tip- ALWAYS update your new DJI drone at home BEFORE you go out to fly! Updating out in the field can be troublesome at best, you will need a good fast Internet connection and you will use up a good proportion of your battery potentially. Updating at home via your PC or home WiFi etc is always preferred.👍
Makes perfect sense! We share our experiences based on other experiences as well, and DJI (while awesome) is one of the only brands to force this sort of thing. It obviously caught me off guard because I would have much rather not made numerous trips out like this. Great advice, as DJI is just a little different than the rest. In some ways good and others maybe not so good. Appreciate you watching! 👍😁😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors I've done exactly the same but with another drone, my old Parrot Bebop, even my skycontroller wasn't playing, it required quite a few updates on both before I could actually fly, of course I was out in the field and no I didn't have enough data or fast enough Internet connection plus the Bebop battery was not up to the job, well you know how quickly they deplete!! 😲😳😁 So when I got my first DJI drone, a Mavic Mini, I was well prepared and got it up and running at home wasn't the smoothest setup and update either, there was a point where I was about to run over it with my car!! 😲😁 Just trying to help others who might be new to the whole DJI thing and not realise. 👍
Love it. Especially the controller. Ya'll make a great point about info. Google blocked an app on one of my drones because they wanted too much personal info. I'm glad it did. Thanks guys for an awesome review and flight. 😉
DJI definitely hit a home run on the Mini 3 Pro. Almost want to get one & keep the Mavic Air 2 for a backup. Excellent review & flight Nate & Abby!! 😊⚓
I would guess the reason for the update is that early adoptors of the Mini 3 Pro were having problems with their drones randomly falling out of the sky. A number of RUclipsrs reported this problem as well.
@@TheRcSaylors I follow a number of Overlanding and #Vanlife RUclips channels, and two or three of them had the problem, which as a sampling is pretty big. I do hope that the update solved the problem too!
I’ve had one issue with mine so far. Pressing the photo button on the controller seems to work randomly about 50% of the time. Very disappointing to see half of your pics didn’t save. I assume these are early release bugs. Let’s hope!
@@TheRcSaylors DJI is usually pretty good about rolling out fixes, but with the Russian invasion of Ukraine, both sides are using lots of DJI quadcopters, and are probably making demands on DJI for feature changes. Russia has a number of the DJI monitoring devices that let them listen in on the GPS telemetry showing where the quad is...and when it lands, they use those coordinates to fire a volley of artillery to try and take out the drone and it's operator. There is apparently hacked firmware that is attempting to allow Ukraine to change the encryption keys to prevent evesdropping on the GPS, but it is something that should be part of their firmware anyways. Because of this, they are losing sales to the AUTEL Evo Nano+, which doesn't have that problem as it uses a different radio setup.
I love this model! Started out on drones (til you guys got me interested in planes!). Now I don’t have one. If you decide to sell this one, keep me in mind!!!
I've been trying to decide if I should even get a drone. I don't know if this should be my first but the image quality looks great to me...I'm just a newbie but thank you for the Video. I appreciate the time
Nice video. I too have NOT been a DJI fan...for several reasons. This however looks to be a very nice consumer level drone (as is the Mavic series). A few years ago I decided to start a "Drone Company" and got my Part 107 certificate (it's still current). I wanted a professional level drone so checked out several options. In the end I went with a Yuneec H520 (with 3 cameras). Yes having a specific controller (i.e., NOT using your phone or iPad) is great. I've never regretted the Yuneec purchase. However it's getting a bit old in the tooth. I recently looked at a RUclips video of the new DJI Matrice 30...having a thermal and zoom camera built in is a great option. Just the $10K price means I won't be replacing the Yuneec this year. God bless you both always. (btw, Nat do you have your Part 107 cert?...if not it's easy to obtain...you would have NO problem...and you might want that protection for producing these type of videos)
You're right about the Wi-Fi. It should be much easier to locate it on the screen. I tried downloading the updates with my phones hotspot and it took long that I had to cancel. It drained my phone and drones battery, the drone was overheating. But when I finally figured out how to download it with using the House Wi-Fi it was really quick.
Another great video! Congrats on the new toy, super jealous. 100% on point with your criticisms and the controller does help a large way with that, unfortunately no such solution for the cheaper of their models and no everyone can afford to have two phones. I'm still not over them removing the battery meter on the batteries themselves so you can quick check them before heading out and not needing to snap them into the drone to check how full they are. Thanks for your honest feedback. God bless!
Happy to share my honest opinion! I will suggest, and I may be wrong here, but if a person can afford a $300 or more drone, I would make a very strong assumption that they can afford a $100 or cheaper iPhone or what I like to call “drone phone” to assist in their drone flying needs. I know what you mean though. Times are tight with these high gas prices and everything. Abby and I have made sacrifices in other areas of life to keep going with these “nicer” RCs and our channel! Hope you have an awesome weekend! 👍😁⚓️
For me the biggest draw back to DJI is the geofencing software. If you live inside the radius of an airport (as I do) having to constantly request permission to fly to check out the roof of your own house is ridiculous. Good review though.
I have 2DJI drones 1 Phantom 3 and 1 Mini 2. I live semi close to an airport my Mini too will take off and I could slide around in restricted mode where I live but my standard I'm not allowed to fly at all the propellers won't even turn on
Very cool video. I would love to get into drones if it weren’t for the cost. Thats all great if you can afford $1K drone. Whats the law about flying drones? Do you need a license?
Everyone has to get an FAA TRUST certificate which you can do for free at the pilot Institute and if you fly drones commercially like youtube, real-estate, etc... you have to get a part 107 license by taking the test. Drones under 250 grams do not need to be registered with the FAA but anything g over does. I would recomend checking out pilot Institute and 51 drones if you are interested in getting in the hobby or commercially.
I still love my mini 2 I'd love to see you guys do a review of the dji robomaster s1 I love mine and it's amazing what you can do with it with a little bit of time
I bought the DJI Mini 2, & FPV Drone, on you & Abies recommend, I absolutely love the FPV Drone & the motion controller Is really cool. I recently sold my refurbished Mini 2 and AIR 2, both Fly More Combos, & upgraded to the Refurbished, AIR 2S Fly More Combo, with the RC controller. & Refurbished DJI Mini 3 Pro with RC Controller.. I received my AIR 2s last month, & DJI just shipped my Mini 3 Pro, yesterday. I found that buying certified DJI refurbished, is just as Good as buying new. You literally couldn't tell the difference between new and Refurbished, & saves me hundreds of dollars per drone.
Can the DJI Fly app automatically eliminate propeller noise and merge your audio track with your footage to ensure clear sound when shooting low-altitude vlogs?
VERY nice performing drone, great video. Definitely like the independent controller/screen. 👌. The scenery was SO 🥺🥺😢😢😭😭 BEAUTIFUL. All I've got here is 🏜🏜🌡🥵🌡☀️🥵☀️😟😟. It's been OVER 100🌡 for several days & it's not going away anytime soon🥺😢. BEAUTIFUL day for flying or anything. ⚓⚓👍💚💜💛👍🥵🏜🥵👍⚓⚓.
I am wondering if you were or had a contest of giving away a DJI Mini Pro. I'm asking because I had a reply or comment to my 1st comment saying I won it. Just curious if because I did not hear about this in the video. 🤷♂
Oh my goodness! Ok, well for 99% of people I’d probably say this. However, we use the DJI FPV uniquely and for us personally I’d have to say the FPV (horrible name btw) I hope this helps! 👍😁⚓️
Hey guys! Great video! I think it would be really cool to buy a DJI drone sometime in my life that's fairly cheap! You guys are American and I'm Canadian, so the prices are different. Is the DJI Mini SE a good one, or the DJI Mini 2? What's the best for a first time drone? What's the difference between the two?
Mini SE is a solid drone actually. I have it and personally love it. It’s range isn’t the best of all drones, but gets the job done. If I had to chose between the SE and the Mini 2 as a first drone, I’d always go with the SE to see if it’s something I’d enjoy. They hold their value on the used market, so if you buy new, the experience shouldn’t cost you too much. You can always upgrade down the road if you find yourself hooked, wanting more 👍😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors Thank you so much!! Which package would you suggest to buy with the SE? The regular package, or the fly more package? How far is the range on the Mini SE?
@@Tchown22 See if Drone Nerds has the Refurbished Mini 2 Fly More, or Mini SE Fly More package deal. I bought my Refurbished DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo $449 & Refurbished Mavic AIR 2 Fly More Combo $669 from Drone Nerds. Same warranty as the new one's & were both brand new, not a scratch. I highly recommend buying them with the 1 Year DJI Care Refresh Plan, only $49 for the Mini 2 & will replace your drone if you crash it, or if it Fly's away, DJI will replace or repair your drone, up to 3 times in a year, with the Care Refresh Plan. You can also get the 2 year Care Refresh Plan for just a little more money. The Care Refresh Plan, can be bought with the refurbished DJI drones & is worth it's weight in gold.
I haven’t had a new exo drone in a very long time. Guess they aren’t making a big enough splash for me to even take notice. So there is that, but maybe I should look into them more.
@@TheRcSaylors they just came out with a version like the mini 2. But I'm looking at their cinemaster 2 since my dji was stolen from my car. I can't afford a dji ATM so I was looking at exo. They don't seem too hateful and range seems decent.
Very bright and easy to see. Sorry I didn’t show it in action. I have since flown this on a Very Bright Sunny day and I could see the screen very easily. I didn’t feel the need to stand in the shade to see. Very Highly recommend 👍😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors that’s good to know. Mine is on the way, but I’m seeing a lot of videos talking about how you can’t see on sunny days. Thanks for replying
Helps to know to rotate if you are getting a glare or something. So far I’m very happy with this purchase. On a recent flight I took some family photos and sadly the first half didn’t save to the card at all. I have no idea why, as it was all in one flight. This is likely an early bug that will get worked out 🤷♂️
Yeah, we do fairly often considering how many are available on the market 😁 Search RUclips for “TheRcSaylors Helicopter” and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised! 👍😎⚓️
Is it just me or does the bottom of the recording do some weird morphing? Is that the controller screen or the actual recorded video? Because if it really does that morphing, then I am gonna say no to this drone. Other than that, it certainly really is amazing.
I have a hubson 501s and it's been in it's case for at least 2 years. Love it, but all the restrictions makes it basically useless to go fly. That's why you see most drone videos that are on the internet people are flying them over water. Even in most of you guy's videos you are in an open field. Love the technology of drones though.
We actually moved, for a few reasons, but one reason we chose to live where we do now is so that we could enjoy the hobby even more. I realize this is a luxury that we are Blessed with in some ways, and others maybe not as much. But yeah I would find it very difficult to live in a big city for a lot of reasons. They are fun to visit though! I hope you can find a nice place to fly and enjoy this amazing hobby 👍😁😎⚓️
Very impressive drone and another great video . :) You need to try looking at the ones from Parrot. Just a thought if no one else or needing another pro drone to try out. ^_=
Well, in this video I flew to 2,000 feet which is more like 600 meters. No range issues at all! Maybe this person was flying near something that interferes with the video signal?
Ok. I just can't help myself. Hopefully in a 100 years or so I'd like to see the coffin you design for yourself. Wings...retracts for Abby to tow you home from the field?
The screen integrated with the controller is to me a very big deal. About a week ago my brother gave me his old Contixo F24 and even without the protective cover taken off my phone it will not hold the phone securely to the controller. It is a major pain in the butt to fly the drone the way I would like to fly it and as a result my free drone isn't getting much airtime.

For me the biggest draw back to DJI is the geofencing software. If you live inside the radius of an airport (as I do) having to constantly request permission to fly to check out the roof of your own house is ridiculous. Good review though.
As someone who flies im happy there are some safeguards altho minor
Nice footage
Butter smooth video, looks like an awesome new drone from Dji
For the tick situation, look up permethrin. It’s kryptonite for ticks and other bugs!
Bro this is so cool I love your content I am from the macthur fireworks keep it up I love it
Q&A video sent me here. Did watch it before though.
Ironically, that’s where it wanted to send me too! Thanks for leaving a comment here 👍😁😎⚓️
Strong arms.....Abby agrees :)
AGREE, HATE VERTICAL MODE!
Came from your Q&A lol. Was planning on watching it soon but RUclips said now lol
All the talk about iPhone, just curious if anyone noticed the Apple shaped cloud around the 20 minuet mark.
Lol I hadn’t noticed! 😂😅😎⚓️
oh my word . you just sold me on the mini . thanks
I have 2DJI drones 1 Phantom 3 and
1 Mini 2.
@@CamdenDenson 51 drones? That sounds like alot of drones?
RUclips Sent me Here from your Q&A video released today! :-). I'm sure its because of my MINI 3 Pro vids..LOL. Thanks again!
What do you guys recommend for a 75mm RTF whoop kit?
Does this have the option to follow me if I’m in my car or motorcycle?
100% yes absolutely 👍😁😎⚓️
I still love my mini 2 I'd love to see you guys do a review of the dji robomaster s1 I love mine and it's amazing what you can do with it with a little bit of time
Bruh wtf is that thing. He's definitely not gonna review it, it's pointless
@@elongatedshrew5902 definitely not pointless it's a pretty amazing machine but I'm sure you did all your research on it before posting the comment
Good review guys. I'm not big on the vertical video either, nevertheless the image quality here is on par with my Evo 2 and the like.
is there any software to use with the mini 3 pro besides dji?
Qna sent me here. And again a very nice video. I've wanted a drone for years just can't afford one.
Good video bro keep it up, what camera are you using to shoot this video btw?
RUclips sent me here after watching the recent QA video. I just watched this video on the mini 3 pro before I watched the QA lol
Does that one link the DJI goggles
Nice 👍
Thanks for tuning in! 👍😁😎⚓️
16:25 How true how true...
I bought the DJI Mini 2,
& FPV Drone, on you & Abies recommend, I absolutely love the FPV Drone & the motion controller Is really cool.
This whole video I was thinking of you Stan and your drone! I hope we can get you in the air one day soon! 👍😁⚓️
This is the video that popped up at the end of your Q&A video
Anyone know if you can purchase a screen protector for the transmitter screen?
I am sure you can. If worse came to worse, buy a tablet one and cut to shape possibly. 👍😎⚓️
I don’t know but at 20:00-20:20 the cloud is flipping you or the drone off.
Lol, the clouds speak to us in mysterious ways 😂😅😢⚓️
I am wondering if you were or had a contest of giving away a DJI Mini Pro. I'm asking because I had a reply or comment to my 1st comment saying I won it. Just curious if because I did not hear about this in the video. 🤷♂
Look around the comment section and use your brain.
Hint: There are dozens of those "You have won" scam comments here in the replies.
@@_Jester_ I was putting this out there for everyone awaremess, not just for mine or the owner(s).
Are you new to the Internet World?
i just got one of these emails my self
Does it have the follow me feature?
Yes
If you had to choose only one would you buy this or the dji fpv?
Oh my goodness! Ok, well for 99% of people I’d probably say this. However, we use the DJI FPV uniquely and for us personally I’d have to say the FPV (horrible name btw) I hope this helps! 👍😁⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors Yes it does. The video on the mini 3 pro was beautiful but I think the fpv would just be more fun to fly.
Thanks for all you do!
Thoughts on exo drones?
I haven’t had a new exo drone in a very long time. Guess they aren’t making a big enough splash for me to even take notice. So there is that, but maybe I should look into them more.
@@TheRcSaylors they just came out with a version like the mini 2. But I'm looking at their cinemaster 2 since my dji was stolen from my car. I can't afford a dji ATM so I was looking at exo. They don't seem too hateful and range seems decent.
How dark was the built-in screen?
This is likely an early bug that will get worked out 🤷♂️
all produce DJI very very good
to expensive way to
I can't believe they deleted home and course lock flight modes, so usefull when flying within eyesight.
How come you never review rc helicopters?
Maybe you do not follow the RC Saylors. Check out July 1 2022, Military RC Helicopter.
Yeah, we do fairly often considering how many are available on the market 😁 Search RUclips for “TheRcSaylors Helicopter” and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised! 👍😎⚓️
You 2 Are the Best coming from a single blk man lol, You 2 are so AWESOME 2GETHER ✊🏽😆
Thank you!! Hope you have an awesome weekend 👍😁😎⚓️
Is it just me or does the bottom of the recording do some weird morphing?
Is that the controller screen or the actual recorded video?
Because if it really does that morphing, then I am gonna say no to this drone. Other than that, it certainly really is amazing.
This is straight from the card. I hadn’t really noticed that.
The only thing about having a drone is where are you going to fly it? Too many restrictions to where you can fly them.
Do you live in, or near a large city/ airport?
@@TheRcSaylors Yes
You need to try looking at the ones from Parrot. Just a thought if no one else or needing another pro drone to try out. ^_=
A review on amazon says it has range issues limiting it to 300-500 meters only. Is this true? Anyone is having this?
Well, in this video I flew to 2,000 feet which is more like 600 meters. No range issues at all! Maybe this person was flying near something that interferes with the video signal?
Belle appareil 👍😉🇲🇫🐓
Your actually testing a drone ime in shock. Mind you it's a good en
Lol! We’ve flown over 1,100 drones in the last four or five years. Just don’t fly them as often as we used to 😉👍😁😎⚓️
