I'm so happy to see you guys are still at it . I still remember when you were flying the Dramida Vistas in the back yard getting it stuck in the fence. I relived that episode when I got mine stuck in one. I didn't know how to fly FPV or acro then. ☺ time flies... So do we.
@@groggyfroggyfpv6868 well, I just gave 3 Vista's and an Ominous wirh extra gears, props, motors, everything away to my stepson after I bought what I have now. I know they're far from where I was going, but they definitely helped me get here. They are as close to the real deal without the fpv as you can get as far as accurate flying for a toy grade quad. They could have had a chance if they had done the same thing as BetaFPV.
I got my vista for like 16 bucks on some random bidding site. Crazy stuff. I turned it into my first fpv after modding the canopy a bit and adding the aio backpack cams that were all the rage. That and a receiver velcroed to my old phone and I was an fpv pilot man. Lol. It is definitely enough to ignite the spark.
I like watching Abby flying I feel she could do a video series on flying for beginners from a beginner/intermediate perspective! I learned more from less experienced pilots when I started flying 20 years ago! You have such a large flying garage
My understanding regarding the camera pointing up is that this is a standard racing drone angle. As you are constantly moving forward and the drone is tilted forward the camera has to angle accordingly meaning when you are stationary you are looking at the sky. I bet there is a setting you can change to change the default behaviour.
I actually like the props in the camera shot. It gives a accurate perspective on where the drone is. Especially if you going around, over and under obstacles. Mini sport drone flyers like this prospective.
The simulator is a fantastic way to get used to it. I have the fly more combo with the 2 extra battery’s and the refresh from DJI just incase lol you go Abby!!
I truly want to get into drones and took your advice about not getting a DJI drone. I am very intrigued by this new DJI FPV drone. The issue I have now is all the government intervention already is place and more intervention already planned for the future. This takes all the fun freedom out of the equation for me. The final straw is how the FAA actually fined individuals that had posted videos on RUclips. Government oversight and fun freedom do not correlate for me. Thanks for the video and thank you for keeping me from making a mistake that I most likely would end up regretting. As Always, May God Bless you and yours!
Fpv scares me... I've had a camera quad and I've flown Park flyers and small electric planes. It must take some serious guts to cover your eyes like that. Abby you were a lot calmer than I would have been that's for sure. It's nice to know that the signal quality in the goggles is so good...
Very impressed Abby!! No directions and were able to fly the drone with great video!! You also didn't crash LOL. Excellent commentary and tips and advise as usual. Keep up the great work you guys!!1
Others may have commented on this, but your friends at Flite Test put out a great video on this drone, including they were able to make adjustments so that they were able to get it to perform like a true Race Drone. They had one of their people (from their staff that specializes ((from what I could tell)) in this type of drone) help them on their first flight even including the Motion Controller.
Awesome job guys. Abby great job flying. I am more into planes and for that price I could buy a few really nice ones but I must say that is the first drone video I’ve seen that the video is not losing signal or jumping around. Again nice video⚓️⚓️👍
As far as drones go, this one is leaving a VERY strong first impression on us. Yes, it is crazy expensive for a toy. Agreed too, you could buy a fleet of nice planes for this price 👍😎⚓
ok I tried to see if someone brought this up but you have so many comments already ill be here all night, your left finger is over the gimbal wheel I think you are inadvertently moving it, if I am wrong I apologize but it looked like that to me, Now props in shot can be removed with a camera setting I just got the fpv myself, so I don't right now remember what it's called but for sure there is something that narrows the fpv enough to get rid of the props and also straightens the image, corrects for the wide angle. Learning to fly works on the simulator that DJI has, however I think it only works on iOS for now, that SIM is busting my butt actually, but its good works only on the cell with the goggles and the remote so you get the feel
Hi good flight you will only lose the props in sport mode or manual mode. And you can calibrate the controller to get rid of any issues with the sticks.
The props are in shot because of the low speed, if you go faster the drone will tilt forward more causing them to go out of view. You can make it your first drone and get some stick time in the mobile virtual flight sim first.
I haven't scrolled through all the comments but as far as that controller issue go ahead and calibrate the controller it's one of the 1st things that I did that should fix the gimbal slowly arching up and then calibrate the drone so that the sensor doesn't keep sending it up that should fix everything.
Abby's great none biased , beginner/intermediate pilot review is very helpful! This is the perfect review for a potential buyer, that doesn't have much fpv/drone experience! Excellent content!
The only thing about DJI is that they have remote access to your drone! Especially if you need to up load some firmware, they can remotely ground your drone until you do the upgrade!
Good job maiden it.. Abby.. 👌🤩 Awesome new location.. can't wait Nate.. just cruising it around in full manual..😁 and taking the advantage of changing multiple angle cam shots.. while flying after doing some setup including by turning on the distrotion correction in the cam settings & check whether it show the props or not..
Props in shot can be adjusted in Camera settings. I'm sure DJI is already developing DJI'S FPV Pro with a 2 axis gimbal and a Pro2 with a 3 axis. We all know how DJI works and this is only the DJI Spark of this series. But I'm not sure why you would want a 3 axis gimbal on a FPV drone but I'm sure it's coming.
Really hope you will be using this to follow rc planes as this is something that interests me for our model flying club. Would be great to see you try to learn how to chase planes
I'm obviously not a drone person but doesn't race drones typically have the camera pointing up a little for quick tilted movement. I wonder if it angles up at a certain speed. Looks cool and great video.
Awesome flying Abby!! You did fantastic. Digital is so much better. I'm thinking about switching over to that for the fact all my racing drones are analog. Also one of the reasons why the props are in view is because the frame is in a X configuration. If the frame was a "deadcat" configuration, the props wont be in view. Excellent video!! 😊⚓
New subscriber here in Pittsburgh. Love you guys channel. I bought my 1st 2 drones yesterday after watching your reviews. I got the DJI mini se and the Deerc 22. Oh I also grabbed the hs440. I guess I'm hooked with the bug. Not sure why I'm commenting on this vlog instead of 1 of the others. You guys reviews caused me to buy the ones I got. The deerc came today and the other 2 will be here tomorrow. I'm super nervous but excited. Thanks for all you guys do. I LOVE YOUR COMMENTS REGARDING OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN more than anything 🙏🏾. Thanks guys
On my Phantom the prompts get in the shot depending on how hard of movements I do cause it goes too far of an angle and so that the blades get in front of the lens. So when I do film work with mine I actually fly backwards camera facing the back so that the props don't get in the shot and then I just reverse the film when I am editing
It appears not meant to be in hover mode. When it does... any wind can adjust the camera angle instantly. The only way to keep horizon in flight is with flight motion. Its not a Mavic that keeps orientation regardless... so if you are flying along and slow down... the angle to the sun (horizen) will go up... when you slow down you have to bring the camera angle down. Maybe there is a feature in Normal mode you can activate to keep camera orientation??? It would be interesting to put the MA2 into FPV mode (parrot uses Winged Mode) and test... Maybe the MA2 (or Anafi) do a decent job of FPV without the speed??
I heard you change the video setting to crop out the rotors. Loved the video guys. I hope the new batteries coming in resolve the issue with the our drone's first battery. By the way, where are you guys finding batteries? I am finding them for $150 and $158.
You are spot on about the battery. We were wrong! Wow.. they shouldn't be charging that much for them. Thanks for the feedback and tips, and for tuning in 👍😁😎⚓
I'm wanting to buy a new drone which do you suggest the Maverick many combo special with the Goggles or the one you are showing now.? I'm still on my phantom 3 which still Flys great but it isn't supported by DJI anymore.
Fingers crossed “ go Abby!” You did a great job and I understand what your saying No it’s, not a race drone but it is a great in between drone. Great video you to. Take care.
Props are in the shot for the user to know orientation of the camera to drone. DJI is about the film quality for sure. Great video and choice to have Abby fly it first. Thank you for showing it this way👍💯👊
If they had put a horizon level and cam angle indicator on the OSD they wouldn't have needed to put the props in the shot. Seems a stupid decision as it makes the footage totally uncinematic and means you have to crop it. Maybe a different camera lens/FOV could solve that problem.
@@paulhope3401 the crop is very minimal from what I saw in the shot. They may possibly add to software as option later maybe. For me only being limited in FPV I think it's a good thing initially. At least that's what my mind thinks.
Sadly no, not currently. Something major happened in our lives that pushed away from the field. One day we will probably share what happened. Real life problems of being a RUclipsr 😬🙄

NICE MAIDEN, Abby!! I have no helpful drone comment other than WHY ARE the PROPS in the picture?! I forgot how much FUN it is to watch FPV footage!! Thanks Saylors!! Good to see a DRONE again!! 💟👍😘
Abbey did a great maiden. From what I understand FPV drone take a quite high level of experience to master. The video quality was awesome. The multitude of glitches not so impressive. Overall getting to the point where I would possibly consider it exceptmfor what I posted in my other comment. I just looked up,the price. No bueno!
This is a beautiful drone and will only get better with updates, in manual mode this thing is a beast 😍 🦾 it's £1,249 in uk, buying my carbon ZT28 2m first tho 🤩
too late... i already made it my first drone... im in trouble? The good news. I got 3 batteries... so I can bounce on two of them... am I right? lol Dont worries guys.... your video talked me into getting the insurance, and practicing ALOT in virtual mode. thanks for the great video!
@@TheRcSaylors I have AMA insurance.(My flying club requires it) But I'm under the impression it only covers other peoples property, not your own, like the batteries you bounce unfortunately. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Wonder why the camera kept going up, if I did quads/drones/4 bladed airplanes 😃 THERE ALL DRONES! (Different versions) that would irritate me too. Is there a FPV that I can just use my phone/tablet instead of having goggles?
Props in the shot is due to an ultra wide FOV camera to be able to see more obstacles around you in FPV usage. If you want them out of cinematic footage, punch in a little in post. As far as a one axis gimbal, that is so you can see your flight angle. If you had a three axis gimbal, you wouldn’t be able to tell your flight angle in FPV usage.
This is not a cinematic drone. If it were it would have a 3 axis gimble or EIS. It is just an FPV drone that makes it simple to learn to fly FPV. It allows you to start out with GPS and eventually work your way up to full blown acro freestyle. It will also do about 86 mph in full manual mode.
That is strange. DJI is marketing this as a cinematic drone and we have seen some incredible shots captured with it 🤔 We do agree with your comment though. A good drone to progress on 👍😎⚓

I like it but I doubt I'll ever own one. I bet it will deliver some nice chase footage for planes.
NICE MAIDEN, Abby!! I have no helpful drone comment other than WHY ARE the PROPS in the picture?! I forgot how much FUN it is to watch FPV footage!! Thanks Saylors!! Good to see a DRONE again!! 💟👍😘
You are very welcome, and Thank You!! This drone has left a strong first impression. We will definitely have to fly it again on the channel soon 👍😁😎⚓
great information and flying
Thanks Island 👍😎⚓
Without scrolling thru comments, the gimbal was pointing upward before take off. Needed to go into settings and recalibrate.
Wish they could incorporate the home point into other dji products great idea.
Abbey did a great maiden. From what I understand FPV drone take a quite high level of experience to master. The video quality was awesome. The multitude of glitches not so impressive. Overall getting to the point where I would possibly consider it exceptmfor what I posted in my other comment. I just looked up,the price. No bueno!
Great flight Abbey, still a expensive for what it is. 👍🏻
Incredible Work ✌️
Yay drones looks awesome and kinda early squad where you guys at stay safe all 😎😎😎😎⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
Fam Jay Crew in the House!! 🤜💥🤛
@@TheRcSaylors always my friends always support you to 😎😎😎😎⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
Awsome love it!!!
Thanks Noah 👍😎⚓
This is a beautiful drone and will only get better with updates, in manual mode this thing is a beast 😍 🦾 it's £1,249 in uk, buying my carbon ZT28 2m first tho 🤩
Even for a maiden flight, this turned out great! We can't wait to see what sort of shots we can capture in the future! 👍😎⚓
too late... i already made it my first drone... im in trouble?
The good news. I got 3 batteries... so I can bounce on two of them... am I right? lol
Dont worries guys.... your video talked me into getting the insurance, and practicing ALOT in virtual mode.
thanks for the great video!
Really glad to hear that my friend. Take those first flights nice and slow, but have fun! 👍😎⚓
Seeing the props should help you keep orientation with the attitude of the quad. The final footage gets cropped so the props disappear.
Well it doesn't get cropped automatically and doing so also loses resolution.
Good job thanks
Thanks for tuning in David 👍😎⚓
Good job Abby ;)
Thank you John 👍😁⚓
Props in the shot is due to an ultra wide FOV camera to be able to see more obstacles around you in FPV usage. If you want them out of cinematic footage, punch in a little in post.
As far as a one axis gimbal, that is so you can see your flight angle. If you had a three axis gimbal, you wouldn’t be able to tell your flight angle in FPV usage.
Hi nate that Amazon link still shows a holy stone drone
........FYI - The batteries are $159 each.... cool review. Abby did great... even fighting the camera.
Wow... we are sick to our stomachs 🤑🤢🤮
Ok that was pretty cool. Still like ground better.
Yeah everything is always much safer when it stays on the solid ground! 👍😎⚓
A good drone to progress on 👍😎⚓
Nice flying Abby! Good review for beginners. $1300 in not chump change though.
What type of bigger hobby grade RC truck is cheaper and very good
What is your budget?
My budget is around 60 or 80
