The answer is basically zero, but people still responded like crazy to new lore drops! And it also encourages the fan communities to dive into lore theory crafting rather than actual talent drama or some other bs.

Jesse, just as a tip, you don't need to buy pickup radius when you use Risu, the squirrel girl. Getting her skill DLC that makes clones of her periodically (or permanently if you get Super Chatto Time, which automatically picks up coins) makes your pickup radius like 3-4x your normal radius as each clone will pick up consumables and exp (kinda like a squirrel that hordes everything).
What ammount of money must I throw for you to react to some hololive performance clips? Like live dances and songs. Or even look at the Hololive Night at the Dodger's stadium.

in all honesty I feel like there's a cycle to online content creation. Back in 2005 we all kind of were ourselves or at least our fake production company names as we were all film maker wannabes who were trading camera angle tips and such so you had your Ryan vs Dorkman, your Felicia Days, your Bus Pirates, etc. Then about 2008 or 2009 we started thinking "Hey! Maybe we DON'T want to post our real identities everywhere" so we became online personas where we would have a cartoon character or personality type we all turned to. Then like 2015 or 2016 the concept of "Face reveals!" kind of took off and it eventually became kind of common place to have a webcam on your videos, now I feel like vtubers are kind of going back to the online persona age. Honestly there were always bits of both trends in every one of the era but I feel like which one is more trendy shifts back and forth. Personally I always found the online persona era the most fun because you could really let loose and be larger than life, plus it really let you experiment a bit with self discovery and such though I'd say both have an audience and both have a place :) And also... yes... Holocure is way too much fun (Fun fact: I'm not sure if this has been patched yet but you can technically kill the framerate completely by using Hakos Baelz/'Dice Girl' by mixing her ult with as many multishot weapons as you can find)
idk but at least vtubers i watch often ties stuff to their lore....kiara for example while being very personal and real often when i comes to stuff like her stream dying or youtube terminating her channel by mistake she plays into that and "revives" as a pheonix...or there is stuff related to food in her irl stories or in game she is playing...she always somehow ties in KFP (kiara fried pheonix) while 80% of a stream is just her being her ( her normal irl behaviour)...there is probably not a single stream where her character "lore" isnt mentioned somewhere in some capacity thats the point of vtubing..you keep your IRL self to your self as much as you want...you can be 100% just normal person with vtuber avatar because you dont feel like showing your face OR you can be your character and just 100% play up AS your avatar keeping all personal stuff secret and personally i dont care either way...i love to watch them for what they presenting and the way they are on stream be it them just being them or them playing character....and i respect their boundaries vtubers (at least in my opinion the ones i watch) are some of most talented people....they can dance, sing, act, draw, speak multitude of languages, entertain, play, VA, play instruments, create music, play multitude of instruments, do crafts.....just to name few things (all those things i mentioned is from single person i watch) and i dont say normal cam streamers are not talented...but i watch people not for their looks..so its fine by me if they dont want to show face and be anime character

Jesse, just as a tip, you don't need to buy pickup radius when you use Risu, the squirrel girl. Getting her skill DLC that makes clones of her periodically (or permanently if you get Super Chatto Time, which automatically picks up coins) makes your pickup radius like 3-4x your normal radius as each clone will pick up consumables and exp (kinda like a squirrel that hordes everything).

in all honesty I feel like there's a cycle to online content creation. Back in 2005 we all kind of were ourselves or at least our fake production company names as we were all film maker wannabes who were trading camera angle tips and such so you had your Ryan vs Dorkman, your Felicia Days, your Bus Pirates, etc. Then about 2008 or 2009 we started thinking "Hey! Maybe we DON'T want to post our real identities everywhere" so we became online personas where we would have a cartoon character or personality type we all turned to. Then like 2015 or 2016 the concept of "Face reveals!" kind of took off and it eventually became kind of common place to have a webcam on your videos, now I feel like vtubers are kind of going back to the online persona age.
Honestly there were always bits of both trends in every one of the era but I feel like which one is more trendy shifts back and forth. Personally I always found the online persona era the most fun because you could really let loose and be larger than life, plus it really let you experiment a bit with self discovery and such though I'd say both have an audience and both have a place :)
And also... yes... Holocure is way too much fun (Fun fact: I'm not sure if this has been patched yet but you can technically kill the framerate completely by using Hakos Baelz/'Dice Girl' by mixing her ult with as many multishot weapons as you can find)

idk but at least vtubers i watch often ties stuff to their lore....kiara for example while being very personal and real often when i comes to stuff like her stream dying or youtube terminating her channel by mistake she plays into that and "revives" as a pheonix...or there is stuff related to food in her irl stories or in game she is playing...she always somehow ties in KFP (kiara fried pheonix)
while 80% of a stream is just her being her ( her normal irl behaviour)...there is probably not a single stream where her character "lore" isnt mentioned somewhere in some capacity
thats the point of vtubing..you keep your IRL self to your self as much as you want...you can be 100% just normal person with vtuber avatar because you dont feel like showing your face OR you can be your character and just 100% play up AS your avatar keeping all personal stuff secret
and personally i dont care either way...i love to watch them for what they presenting and the way they are on stream be it them just being them or them playing character....and i respect their boundaries
vtubers (at least in my opinion the ones i watch) are some of most talented people....they can dance, sing, act, draw, speak multitude of languages, entertain, play, VA, play instruments, create music, play multitude of instruments, do crafts.....just to name few things (all those things i mentioned is from single person i watch)
and i dont say normal cam streamers are not talented...but i watch people not for their looks..so its fine by me if they dont want to show face and be anime character
