Quick tip: If you're making this for kids (or picky adults) who don't like broccoli, just chop it all up finely. Don't tell them it's broccoli and they won't know it. Personally, I think it's better anyway if it's chopped finely, I think it improves the texture of it. I don't want to bite into a big piece of broccoli and I love broccoli.

I like the idea of prebaking the crust that much but I feel in my oven the edges of the crust would really burn in the second baking with filling. Maybe because my oven is gas it seems to bake edges hotter. (it is only a few years old and works great) I guess I could wrap the crust with foil but I just wonder if it would still get hard and dry. Only one way to find out I guess! This looks delicious so much onion and broccoli!
I make quiche by frying bacon bacon and adding the onion to the half fried bacon. You also add sliced mushrooms and sautee them if you don't like broccoli. Delish! I also sprinkle in a bit of garlic powder and dillweed which tastes great together. Bon appetite!

If your lactose intolerance with dairy what can you replace it with so you can eat it?

You can put tin foil around your edges to keep from burning.

How about ditching the broc and replacing with large chunks of bacon, pre-fried to crispiness???
