I dont know why i do this. Im here raising a kid and she is in another state living it up. I'm sorry for all of you. But guys get treated like trash too. Me and my kid are unwanted, but we want each other. So I put on a smile and move on. I don't have other people's shoulder to cry on just a pillow. And it's not every nights just the hard ones . Some times it hard being macho dad , mom, cook, and house maid. But i do love my baby girl. Sorry just needed to vent .
Robert, I'm 60 years old have been around awhile. I've met a lot of "nice" women but in my experience they were only that way to get what they wanted and get security for themselves. Period. I'm sorry for your troubles. Thank God I met a decent, down to Earth woman that only wanted to be happy and raise a family, be a family. 37 years together and I've never looked back. Came across this just now. I am 65 already and experienced a nightmare because I gave my heart to a bipolar person that controlled even my emotions. To be realistic and honest: I allowed it. Until I couldn't anymore. I can go on and on this , but I won't. I am just saying this: I am still alone. I have not been able to trust anyone ever again. Too much pain. And at this point and age of my life I am not happy because I am constantly alone but I don't have to protect myself from an obsessive unfaithful scumbag. My little sister was going through Cancer treatment and this was "our group" we played this CD over and over so much I had to by more. This was the music we shared when she was going through such a horrible time in her life and to be able to have provided her with a night of pure "Normalcy" was a very special thing!

When this song came out I found out my kids dad was cheating on me and the girl was pregnant with his baby. My heart ached to the core. My kids Brittany and Josh happen to be ages 2 and 4. I would hear this song over and over and cry and cry. My husband was cheating on me with a teenager across the street. She was less than half his age. We were together longer than she was alive. He dumped me for her. I had a miscarriage after our last time together. She got pregnant while we were still married. Their son was born weeks after the the anniversary month of the miscarriage. He refuses to acknowledge we had a child and erased me, even from all of his social media. This song brings me to tears each time. 21 years together, 16 married meant absolutely NOTHING to this man. Just once I’d like to see him scream in pain like I still do. When a man can say “good riddance” to you, it’s meant to tear your heart and soul apart to shreds. And all I did was love him faithfully and support him tbroughout his Navy career, always putting him first. I sacrificed many dreams just to keep him happy. I don’t regret it. I just wish he would have seen how much love I had and still do for him. 💔😢

I first heard this song one night back in 2002, 20 years ago, when my "husband" and I were struggling. Although my husband and I had mutually decided to divorce, we were still living together at the time, and one night while he was upstairs getting ready to leave for a date, this song came on and I sat quietly downstairs crying. It's a complicated story, but I never told him I still had feelings for him and was willing to try to salvage our 12-year marriage (17 years together and 2 daughters) because I felt if his love for me was strong enough, he would have fought for our marriage harder, so I set him free to be with his newfound love. Needless to say, we divorced and he married her. Sometimes that's just life. He and I didn't really speak much for many, many years, but 5 years ago we became friendly again and I also became friends with his wife. I always wanted my children to see their parents and stepmom being able to be friends and I am glad we were able to do that.
Sadly, his wife passed away this past January at just 44 years young. My heart breaks watching my ex-husband and all 6 of (their/our) children/stepchildren grieve over her. I took her death pretty hard myself, so I can't even imagine. I'm glad I can be a friend who prays for him and all of our children to find peace over her untimely passing. God rest her beautiful soul.
