No doubt. One of my favorite movies of all time. A lot of good life lessons in it too. 'Nothing like wasted talent' and we all know tons of people who represent that phrase
I love that Mr. Franzese tells these stories in a way that teaches honor and respect at the same time teaching the hard earned lessons he's already learned from his past. Very honorable. Very respectful.
Michael: "Just a warning, I don't do regular interviews, its more like a conversation." The World: "YESSSSSSS!!!!!!" I love that way much better, feels organic. I especially like listening to Mr. Franzese, from the accent, to the riveting and interesting stories, to the morals of the story, big and small. As long as you keep making them, Ill keep watching.
Hi Michael, I've been watching your vids and interviews for awhile now, and I appreciate your down-to-earth attitude and candor about your old life. My dad died this February as well, and had an interesting life. A big thing to take away from the death of a parent is to reflect on how the ripples a person makes in life eventually turn into waves, and we're the ones riding them. We're not stuck on those waves going in one direction; we have the power to use that momentum and guide where we want to go.
I'm like a kid on Christmas morning when Uncle Mike posts a vid lol! RIP John 'Sonny' Franzese...truly the last of a dying breed! They don't make em like that anymore!

I’m a genealogist. Hearing about your grandfather makes me smile. So many people don’t know about their family or where they come from. My own grandfather told me about growing up in a neighborhood with the Patriarca family running things and what that was like as a kid. Besides what my grandfather told me I don’t hear much about that family. This is my favorite video you’ve done so far. Thank you for sharing this amazing history!
@jeff at one point, before he went to prison and was released on parole once, Sonny Franzese was the underboss. Meaning that all orders and movements are discussed between him, Joe Colombo and his consiglieri. After what most of those orders are given to the capos and sometimes soldiers by him personally. If they gotta ask for the boss's opinion at the sitdown between themselves, they gotta ask for it from the underboss as he spends most time with him and the consiglieri is not always that reachable. He had his own guys, crew big enough and he certainly had influence. So he definitely had the closest position to being a leader and to many guys, he was the leader, as they saw him more often then Joe Colombo himself. It's just that Sonny was loyal to his boss and didn't had ambitions to take over, like Michael once said. But I suppose he certainly could have at some point. He was well respected by everyone and not one person ever said a bad word against him.
My father went to school with your mother Tina copabianco in Brownsville, east new York. He did see Sonny many times in the neighborhood. Looked like a movie star,my father said@

I grew up in the Bronx, and lived in Gravesend, Brooklyn near Avenue U, during the 90’s when the streets were a hostile during the in fighting within the Colombo family, glad you made it through that unscathed. You are a intelligent, eloquent and talented speaker. You have come out of “the life” and God bless that you have gotten a second chance, your father was a man of honor, and although you have walked that walk you have turned your life around and with that you have did the same for others, keep fighting the good fight Mr Franzese!

Hello Michael.I have 2 questions: 1)Did you have any relations with russian mafia, and if you did, what's your opinion on them? 2) Have you seen HBO series broadwalk empire?Did your father or anyone you knew mentioned in the series? How realistic this series is? Hope you answer my questions, wish you best of luck in this hard times.
"Your father sounds like a man whose word is bond. His state of depression, i'm sure, helped him understand your decision to walk. Rest easy Sonny.' Mike, there are members i'm curious about: Joey 'Wheels' (he was wheel chair bound) from Long Island, Wild Bill Cutolo (people told me he was a great guy), and Luis Dibono: In his book, Gravano does not go into details of DB's death. Know anything about these guy's and DB's death? Inquiring minds want to know. 7&7, Keep It Coming! "

(Mr.Franzese)You've got my respect, the love for you father is admirable, ppl(generally speaking ) don't realize how much of an affect a father has on his kids, especially their sons (good or bad).....
Hello Michael.I have 2 questions:
1)Did you have any relations with russian mafia, and if you did, what's your opinion on them?
2) Have you seen HBO series broadwalk empire?Did your father or anyone you knew mentioned in the series? How realistic this series is?
Hope you answer my questions, wish you best of luck in this hard times.
"Knock around guys" is a pretty good one. Thanks for all you do Mr Franzese!
Another good movie
"Your father sounds like a man whose word is bond. His state of depression, i'm sure, helped him understand your decision to walk. Rest easy Sonny.' Mike, there are members i'm curious about: Joey 'Wheels' (he was wheel chair bound) from Long Island, Wild Bill Cutolo (people told me he was a great guy), and Luis Dibono: In his book, Gravano does not go into details of DB's death. Know anything about these guy's and DB's death? Inquiring minds want to know. 7&7, Keep It Coming! "
A couple days ago this channel had 140k subscribers, now it has 142k, this channel is growing and fast, nice going.
Larry Lawton got a “Ill never forget” tattoo. You say that phrase a lot as well! You should get a “I’ll never forget” tattoo
The story of your fathers life could fill a library, absolutely incredible.
Michael "I'll never forget" FRANZESE. I am starting to believe Uncle Mike got longer memory than a DOLPHIN.
I could listen to you all day long.Love your channel.
I know more about the Mafia history than the US history at this point lol
Thx for the likes if u wanna help out pls check out my RUclips pls 🙏 sorry for the promoting stuff
It is us history
@mike deadass tho, realizing the propaganda they used to throw in our textbooks in highschool, I've never heard about any of this stuff at school once lol
😂😂😂 i got WAY to invested over the years, and now I’m a Mafia history expert 🤣🤣🤣
@mike Id go a step further and say its not just US history.
Well it's not all a lie. You gotta really pay attention in school growing up and do your own outside research. Problem is most kids especially these days don't do either. Also mob life been a part of American history for over 100 years
Mike: My father would be 110 today!! He taught me things to get me thru I still use today ! Your father the same.
I don’t see how anyone can be locked up anywhere for 50 years! Strong person!!
The Mafia is still around but in a different way. Take care and keep those videos coming!!
... they called my dad sonny too “sonny joe”... love hearing about your father...
I can’t afford to join you. But when I can I know I can learn a lot from you about self motivation and preservation. Watching your videos gives me new ways to look at things and tends to help me in my day to day life
My suggestion for a review is: Carlito's way.
I know it's not about the Italian mob but it's one of the best performances by Pacino in my opinion.
Great story, Michael! I cannot wait for your channel to hit 1 million subscribers you deserve it.
I can't wait for the interview with Joe Pistone!
Michael: Joe I wanted to thank you for coming to chat with me.
Joe: Fuggetaboudit
I am a huge mob historian. I have alot of respect for you, your father . Thank you for putting all these stories together weekly. I appreciate it 🙏 God bless you.
That was SOME life he lived! Served 50 years in prison, lived up to the nice age of 103. The history he saw. The stories he could tell.
I’ve been addicted to your talks! Great leader 🙏
I suggest to review '' casino ''
This man is so stylish, vestimentary and eloquently! I love your stories
"The untouchables" for mob movie monday
Micheal enjoyed this one, your dad was a stand up man .TY
Hey Michael, according to Gianni Russo, he was the guy who told Al Capone he would do better in Chicago and gave Lucky Luciano the idea of organizing the 5 crime families. Do you think you could talk about him? We could use the laughs.
I watched him on valuetainment today. Dude nailed Marilyn Monroe at 16 years old lmao
@@andretullier3469 she was a gem
From what I hear, everybody got a turn with her
@@andretullier3469 dude *says* he nailed Monroe
How is that possible Gianni Russo was born 1943 capone died 1947 get your story straight. Michael franzese don't know history especially in Brooklyn which he should but he's a dumb dumb...

Mike is Great!!! What a talent to narrate
Did you ever have any interaction with other ethnic mafias? Jewish, Russia, Vietamese, Triad, Yakuza, etc?
He said, in previous interviews, he knew the Russians and was doing some business with them
Also he knew some of the jewish guys
