Also, given that inter-dimensional travel has a black and cyan color palette, and we are considering the soul sand/soils as contaiminated by this radiation due to the fires they emit, perhaps the multiple shapes (the faces in soul sand) we see could be evidence of the mulltiverse nature of the radiation warping the formation of this substance and indicating multiple worlds rather than souls.
