Question: can cushion moss be trimmed ones in a terrarium when it gets to tall? Or can it only be trimmed from the bottom up?

Is there a specific lighting spectrum for these terrariums?
i really love your videos and because of you i want to start to make my own terrariums. I have a few ideas but don't know if they are possible. Like putting empty bullet casings or old toy cars in your terrarium, to look like a real car that is overgrown. i think that it would be very cool but don't know if it's possible could you give me some more info on this.

Are springtails necessary for terraniums?
Is there a rule of thumb for how many spring tails to use per cubic inch or something ??
What substrate would you suggest I use if I just want to make one terrarium? If I buy one bag of each of the elements you include in your mixture, I’ll end up with a ton of leftovers going to waste. But I can’t buy your premade mixture because I don’t live in the UK.

At 0:48, you mentioned the substrate you are using. I see sphagnum moss, coco fibre, orchid bark, charcoal and worm casting but I don't see the soil. Any soil will do?
Watch his substrait video. The 'soil'' colour is just the coco fibre and the worm castings, there is no normal ground soil in there.
