that moss inside the wood was the perfect touch, beautiful set up! im getting ready to get some ivory millipedes and ur giving me some awesome inspiration ❤️
Hey terrarium designs this is an amazing terrarium and I was wondering if sometime in the future you could make a terrarium with bugs and spiders and creatures like that. That would be an amazing video.
lovely build. I guess you have to be careful nothing grows up high enough for the bugs to use to climb out if you don't use a lid. I have a tiny one with no lid and I daren't go near the top
Could you maybe make a terrarium that has a working waterfall? ( a small one of course ) it would be kinda like your terrarium you made with a flowing stream! :) - amazing work btw.
I'm currently making one of these and my bf said"why do u want to bring a box of dirt and grass with bugs inside".I'm really far from home where it's more buildings than trees and it reminds me of home, acres of forestry and farms.some ppl just can't see the beauty in little things.
Looking at building my first (probably over ambitious) terrarium. Thought it could make a very cool indoor window. Wondered if you might be able to help/advise.
could you do a terrarium as usual but use full aqua soil as the substrate? i was always curious for the effectivity of aqua soil (i imagined it could eliminate the need for drainage layer and it looks cleaner compared to dirt). Thanks!
May I ask, what kind of water? I have yet to see a video on any channel that specifies. Distilled, Tap, Drinking...? Can I use tap water if it's filtered? Thanks!
I have a terrarium that's more than a year old now that contains some isopods. I really need to redo it, because I used the wrong soil mix (organic potting soil without any other additives). I want do redo it with the right substrate. How in the world do I catch and remove the isopods so I can redo it?
Yes that can be very difficult! In the past I’ve taken most of the once I can see out & then just monitor it for a few weeks to make sure I’ve got them all:)
Ho! Thanks so much for all the information! I have a terrarium basically the same as yours ib this video but i also put inside an orchid, but the isopods have eaten its leaves so i had to take it outside of the terrarium... Any idea why?
Maybe make one with jumping spiders? (Make it a little bigger though). You probably have the fruit flies because of your vivarium so it will be easy to feed it/them
Sir,I am from India it is greatful and joyous to watch your informative videos, but I am not able to find moss for my terrarium which makes it boring,So can you please suggest where to find them in summers?😊
I’m not sure where you can find moss in the wild in India but you may be able to get some online. Otherwise my best guess will be anywhere that is damp & humid, maybe near a river or stream🤔
I made one for my emperor scorpion with local isopods, and they have eaten all of the moss! I started feeding them greens left over from my bearded dragons food, but maybe im not feeding them enough?
Yeah isopods are the cows of terrarium world haha, no matter how much moss I plant and extra veggies I give to distract them, the moss always gets eaten up, my advice: use only a handful of isopods, it'll take them longer to eat everything
I am going to make a first terrarium but I don’t want to buy all the ingredients for the substrate I wish I could just buy a small bag of your mixture lol
You are obviously really smart so why can't you get your emphatics right? It's really distracting, the context leads you to expect what you're saying then you use the wrong emphatics and leave you wondering what you missed. forest FLOOR if you're just casually talking about a forest floor but if you've been referencing a kitchen floor then switch to FOREST floor THAT's when you switch the emphatic! Why can't millennials speak their own language? AND those are not CHEST nuts the HAZEL nuts or Kentish Cob since they're so big, still Hazel nuts. OMG!
The terrarium is gorgeous. I also have one and many tell me it's beautiful. cmq is mine you can see at 180 ° since I tried to make a fake 3d background with expansive foam ... I wonder but the plants are bought or taken from nature (park, forest, forest ..) and then inserted inside. to me it works fine . The plants inside now how are there updated videos ? Can I show you my terrarium, if so where? do you have instagram ?greetings Maxim

That’s a cool idea!
This video has taken me down a loooong hole into a new world. Thank you. 🙏
No problem!😅
7:11 "Some Of Them Did Need A Little Bit Of Encouraging" *Proceeds To Shake Them Out The Cup Like An Earthquake lol*
This has to be one of my most fav I have seen on YT.

Thank you!
This man is a legend
A literal piece of the forest I love it!
Hope you enjoy the build!💚
I did very much!😊
Yes I did! (ome collab please)
you should add millipedes
@@gabrielsstopmotion1959 that would be yes
I have always wanted to make a terrarium where land salamanders and frogs have baby tadpoles, it would be really cool to see that kind of terrarium
Wouldn't it need to be a paludarium so there's healthy water for the eggs to hatch in?
Beautiful terrarium!!!
Quedo hermoso, yo quiero uno asi
You should add a tiger! Not sure if it will fit though :(
thanks to your videos ive been making some terrariums as well< great videos btw
Very very nice! Thank you for sharing!
Thx because of this i just made my own small terrarium :D
That’s great to hear! Well done:)
The plant choice is so cool!
Could you maybe make a terrarium that has a working waterfall? ( a small one of course ) it would be kinda like your terrarium you made with a flowing stream! :) - amazing work btw.
Funny coincidence, I’ve already made one!😃 just waiting a couple weeks for it to grow in before dropping the video:) you read my mind😅
@@TerrariumDesigns sick..

For me too but with my girlfriend
Your channel makes me want to build a terrarium of my own!
You should!😃
@@TerrariumDesigns just finished making some last night! Waiting on the oak leaf creeping fig to come in and finish it off!
Ugh the isopods are so cute
This looks beautiful🥳
Would you consider making a terrarium with flowers inside?
I love ittrt❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you
I love you
Do a mystery snail terrarium
I very love this
Thank you!
Lover your channel!
Thank you!!
For wedging sphagnum moss in the gaps of driftwood, can i use moist peat moss as a substitute?
Yes that will work :)
Looking at building my first (probably over ambitious) terrarium. Thought it could make a very cool indoor window. Wondered if you might be able to help/advise.
Nice build as always!
Thank you!
could you do a terrarium as usual but use full aqua soil as the substrate? i was always curious for the effectivity of aqua soil (i imagined it could eliminate the need for drainage layer and it looks cleaner compared to dirt). Thanks!
Yes aqua soil it a great substrate & yes it can certainly make a drainage layer unnecessarily it some cases:)
Hi, did you cycle your substrate before introducing into the terrarium? If yes, how did you cycle?
Beautiful! Does Landen make the lid also? I want to do something similar!
Did the Isopods survive? Clown Isopods can die if they won’t have a wet and dry area
Hi I wanted to know if normal soil would work?
Insects terrarium is beautiful.
A house geco would be very nice

Yes that can be very difficult! In the past I’ve taken most of the once I can see out & then just monitor it for a few weeks to make sure I’ve got them all:)
@@TerrariumDesigns How do you go about removing them though? With your bare hands? A tool? Scoop them out somehow?
What do these isopods eat?
Ho! Thanks so much for all the information!
I have a terrarium basically the same as yours ib this video but i also put inside an orchid, but the isopods have eaten its leaves so i had to take it outside of the terrarium... Any idea why?
Where is it you buy your tanks from?
I got this one from Amazon(link in description) but most of the others I build myself out of glass:)
Thank you 😊
Add one mourning gecko
Box turtle would be cool
I have a question: is there any way I can just buy a substrate mix?
Yep you can buy ready made terrarium substrate from Amazon:)
Would the isopod population get out of hand?
Maybe make one with jumping spiders? (Make it a little bigger though). You probably have the fruit flies because of your vivarium so it will be easy to feed it/them
Yes that’s a good idea! & you’re right I’ve already got the flies😃
You need to add some snails to all of your big tanks.
hallo im new can u make a 30x30 cm cube terrarium pls its for my school project
Will they not eventually eat all the plants with no predators!
Sir,I am from India it is greatful and joyous to watch your informative videos, but I am not able to find moss for my terrarium which makes it boring,So can you please suggest where to find them in summers?😊

As an Indian I suggest to check on old bricks 🧱 I find little little moss on bricks after rain 🌧️
Thank you so much sir for your wise opinion.i think it will be helpful for me❤
👊

Dwarf wood scorpion? Actually there are more scorpion species that would be suitable for this terrarium.
I am going to make a first terrarium but I don’t want to buy all the ingredients for the substrate I wish I could just buy a small bag of your mixture lol
biggest problem i had with my isopods was population control. They just kept breeding and basically fed on every living plant inside the terrarium.
Did you try adding leaf litter or adding some food for them? Or maybe add some sort of small predator?
A snail
I’m the first comment I think-!
What kind of isopods are those?
How about a terrarium featuring fungi rather than plants?
1
add a frog
Jumping spider
