It would be super cool, if you did a large build like 20 or 40 gallons.
I have a disability and a chronic pain problems, bit tricky using my hands, but after finding your videos and as theres no rush with anything; you have given me a hobby and I can't tell you how much it's helping my general wellbeing .so a big thank you 🎉🎉
I’m recently getting into terrariums for the same reason. It’s an easy to care for source of dopamine that’s pretty to look at and won’t die immediately when I’m in a flare up or depressive episode.
Beautifully done- would be nice to see how you take care of the terrarium after the plants/ moss have grown - thanks
Wow such a big terrarium thanks for listening to my idea you should do one that is desert or one that is a swamp that would be really cool and you could even add creatures that fit those ecosystems
Thank you! Some good ideas:)
Yes, it looks like a true slice of nature as you said... I like that it is simple to do with many free collected stuff.
I kept and bred fish for years, but as I age and now don't have the space, energy, or time for another 125 main display with breeders everywhere and so on, not to mention I was having fish faster than I could get rid of them, I'm excited to try a small starter terrarium. I have a 2 gallon "cookie jar", the drainage layer, the barrier, and a commercial potting soil mixed with a zilla bedding product for substrate. I'm going out locally to a forest for moss, leaf litter, local rocks and twigs, and a bit of "dirt" to add to the substrate. What I've not found at local pet stores or aquarium shops is a springtail or isopod culture. Will the local dirt and leaf litter provide those critters ? If it works out, I would ultimately like to add a dart frog or tree frog or maybe two. As with aquariums, I know it needs to cycle and settle before making those types of additions.
Really enjoying these videos as I never considered something this small and potentially so diverse in the aquarium hobby with filters, sumps, pumps, 50 gallon water changes, testing water parameters, etc, etc.
Thank You.
This is a forset in a bowl = A M A Z İ N G
Thank you! Glad you like it:)
😅
‘Forset’
I didn't know about colourful springtails! That's so cool and makes me want to get some :D
Serpa Squad would love this vid ☺
Awesome build. Could look at it for hours!
I love your terrariums! This can be my new favorite ♡
Your creations are always a source of inspiration! To thank you for the time you dedicate to us, I bought your book!
Loving this build!
I love it 🤩 thank you 🇱🇰
I'm glad you like it & thanks for watching😃
It would be cool if you mada a live video of making a terrarium!
Really beautiful!!! I’ve ordered supplies from different places and as soon as everything arrives, I’m going to try my hand at a couple of terrariums.
Beautiful Aquatic 🥣
Oh my god this is amazing u deserve more than 50k subs. u have a new subscriber that’s for sure
We love your terrariums. You're doing great on them. Why did this terrarium have holes in the lid?
I think it’s because they have animals I might be wrong though
Love the video keep it up
Este hermoso terrario y su fauna es maravilloso, como otros trabajos y hoy se algo más de ésto que en verdad es artístico "gracias por el artista que los diseña"
I love you videos.I have watched almost all you videos and i am very interested in make a terrarium.
I bought your ebook and have made three terrariums using it, and a month later they are all thriving! The nerve plant I put in it even flowered! Do you have any advice on orchidariums?
It's an honor to appreciate your best work today. I have a question.I wonder if the water used to wash the moss first is different from the water used to wash it later.
Add a predator
The predator could be a nice role for the bumblebee millipede
I love the ferns, especially the asparagus fern, looks like a real tree. Where can I get them
Several months ago I tried to make a closed terrarium with a boston fern. It wasn't big, couple big leaves and several smaller. The conditions were pretty normal as for a terrarium but several weeks later leaves started to go brown, but not crispy like in low humidity, and eventually it was all brown and the terrarium smelled pretty bad so I removed it. Even though I had a boston fern in a pot on a window just beside that terrarium. What could be the reasons of a fern dying in a closed terrarium? Because I really wanted to use the fern in my builds, divided bigger plant into three and now they're taking a lot of space on my window and I don't know what to do with them))
I love ur vids
Thank you:)
Will any plant work with your substrate later?
If you keep a large quantity of the substrate, is it worth introducing the springtails to the mix? Will they multiply and also act as a supply of springtails that you can periodically add substrate to?
Brilliant stuff, have you added a predator or have any with centipedes or any other invertebrates in? Cheers
Where did you get your profile picture from? And what is it?😮 Just curious.
...En el futuro, habrá libro en español? 🤗🇨🇱 Gracias. 🙏 Namasté
hiya! how can i get moss to grow faster in my garden? i love the bowl
sometimes you have holes in your lid, sometimes not??
Do you have to cut the plant permanently as they grow ?
What type of predator could you add to this terrarium?
Is sphagnum moss absolute necessary???
To be honest I had a good predator that can keep the spring tails isopods populations in check add a Queen ant in there so ants can get honeydew meet aka isopods spring tails and add a giant millipedes only 2 If there populations are louds add a millipede predator
Why not seal it?
Good sir, are your links still working? Tried to check out your ebook link, but it always only opens an "about:blank" page
are small snails dangerous for terrariums, or will they work like springtails as detritivores?
What sorts of predators are good for terrariums? I am looking to build my first one. I have been watching Homemade Ecosystems channel too. He adds milipedes, centipedes, snails, and earthworms to his terrariums. Centipedes are kinda scary to me though.
Hi, i have a question. When making the substrate, does the coco fibre have to be bone dry?
Youre going to want to rehydrate it for 20 minutes
snails and a milipide
How do you keep you springtail stash alive? In that plastic container with some treebark? I wanne make some terrariums but not all at ones so i want to have some in stock for later use. Any tips?
Nvm, I just purchased your e-book and it explained it very well.
Hey, where do you get all the plants from? Just from your local store or somewhere on Amazon?
If it is large enough you should put in dart frogs!
How about a big one with a real tree inside?
Let us know if any of those bugs escaped.
I have a small tarium
