Aunt Esther was an excellent actress. When I see her I start laughing. She was great in Sanford & Son. When squinted her eyes Sanford was in trouble. RIHP Wanda 🕊️🕊️🕊️
I love this show!! I remember watching this when I was a kid. They just don't make shows like this anymore. I am truly blessed to have grown up in this time and era....
Sanford and Son was hilarious. What Aunt Easter kept up with the best of them on that show. She had me falling out when she said,She had the nerve to call us witches.😂😂😂😂One of my favorite episodes.
My favorite line of Aunt Esther's is when Fred thought he was dying and that he would just float away on an ice-patch like an old Eskimo, and Esther told him, "You're gonna need ice, where you're going!"🤣
Great comedy ,great chemistry ,loved the feuds of Fred and wanda. My entire family was a big fan of Sanford and son. Great story ,sad for her ,she was a great equal ,meaning she gave it right back .
I had the honor of meeting her as a young boy, she was so sweet and I remember that day like it was yesterday, she was traveling with her church group here in Wilmington DE, she gave me an autograph, my mom didn't know where it went tho.
My uncle was on the show a few times and told me that Redd was so claustrophobia they had a lot issues on the set…. I would never think that about REDD.
I loved all the characters in the Fred Sandford show. But my favorite was Sandford and Esther. They where hilarious. 😂 One of my favorite show i loved also was Good Time and The Jefferson Show. At that time there was do many black show that i and my sister love to see together. Beautiful memory's. ❤
Aunt Esther was a very beautiful lady in person!!!! Her and Grady and Ron Glass from Barney Miller came to our school Dr.Mary McLeod Bethune Jr. High for Black History Month in Los Angeles in the early 80's😊
No question Redd was THE star of the show. But Lawanda was a big part of its success. And they were close friends which you wouldn’t know by watching their constant fights and mutual dislike of each other. My fave all time sitcom
CORRECTION: Her 1st husband was John Peal. He died 5 years after hey married. The photo used in this video is of UK veteran BBC radio presenter John Peel not her husband.
I had an opportunity to see, and meet her after her appearance at club in Richmond VA back in for a New years eve party in 1988, while stationed in VA. I wasn't aware of her early life as a comedian, and the nasty mouth she had. It was a very funny show! R.I.P Aunt Ester!!!
I doubt that was her mother. I think the creator of the video just chose random pics for the parents. If LaWanda was born in 1920, that photo which looks like is from the 60s is too modern for that to be her mother.
I met Lawanda through a friend back in 1986.Went to her home number of times. She was extremely funny in person and really good looking without (what she called) "that Esther makeup" (Look at her photo at the 11:00 mark) The first time I met her was at her home right after she got hurt in a movie. She had a medical bed in the back part of her house. She started to get up from it then realizing she was only wearing a robe, stopped and said 'Oh Evan look over there (pointing at the other side of the room) I didnt see anything of special interest that way so I said "Why"? She said "Cause I aint lettin you look at MY Pu**y"! I was shocked it was so funny. Then she said "Well not before we get liguored up anyway go in there and get us a beer." Hilarious!
She was a great actress. She would have done real well as George Jefferson’s sister and having her stop over Archie Bunkers house with George and the two of them going back in forth. Or Archie new neighbor that would have been fun to watch . I wish she would have had a chance to do more parts on TV Shows
Mississippi? There's a lot of untrue testimonials that lady in those documents. Some say she was born in Saint Louis Missouri, some say Ohio some say some other cities. So you really don't know which one is true.
I miss Aunt Esther. I still watch this show daily.
It is good to know others love her, too.
She's a legend and should have a Hollywood star 🌟 if she doesn't. I was always a big fan.
💯💯💯💯
" you ole fish eye fool" 😂 Great video sis❤

I used to watch her on Sanford and son and she made me belly laugh. She was such a talented woman.
It's ironic how Fred used to joke about her looks. Aunt Esther was fine!!! look it up😮

European aesthetics are opposites to African aesthetics .
Beautiful 😊
His joking about her looks was part of the act they were acting. That was his friend in real time. Look that up. 😅

Aunt Esther was an excellent actress. When I see her I start laughing. She was great in Sanford & Son. When squinted her eyes Sanford was in trouble. RIHP Wanda 🕊️🕊️🕊️
Her and Red were so enjoyable to watch....

No matter how many times i watch Sanford & Son repeats, I still 😅😂🤣😆😄. That's one show that will never wear out.
My favorite line of Aunt Esther's is when Fred thought he was dying and that he would just float away on an ice-patch like an old Eskimo, and Esther told him, "You're gonna need ice, where you're going!"🤣
😆😂🤣😉
DANG,I laughed so-HARD-at that joke !!! So-FUNNY. LOL.
Great comedy ,great chemistry ,loved the feuds of Fred and wanda. My entire family was a big fan of Sanford and son. Great story ,sad for her ,she was a great equal ,meaning she gave it right back .
I drove her around Rochester, N.Y. where she did a show here. I still have photos with her. She was very nice.

Hola, hello beautiful world I want to say what an amazing talent this natural actress.
I love that church joke she did that was used on Above the Law’s album Legends. 😊
This shows that everyone should be given a chance to improve in anything before letting the person go. Lawanda Page story is very inspiring!

She is the best always. SHE IS THE QUEEN OF COMIDY❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Her name was LaWanda Page, not Leanda Page..
You should correct the spelling in your thumbnail and the description
Yeah, the misspelling in the description was annoying me. The whole video is sloppy.
I love ❤️ her
LOL... I'm sure that's not the same John Peel that Lawanda married, because that one wasn't even born in 1934.
Esther was a beautiful woman. Is it me or anyone started to believe Pam from Martin breathe really stanked. 😅😅😅😅
The pictures of John Peel are not correct.
Her popular" fish eyed fool" was a good one :)
She did not have a sad life. She was a dancer and actress. She had a good career
Yes she did...I enjoy her
aI love it when she called Fred a fisheyed fool.
I love her walk with RuPaul

She was so goood😂😂lmaooo my GOD
The BEST funniest performer in that show
Color blind the most beautiful girl in world
Fred said a man pulled up to her and offered her some lollipops to get under his CAR
@ 1:22 .......... Her MOTHER look like (WILLONA WOODS from GOOD TIMES)
I doubt that was her mother. I think the creator of the video just chose random pics for the parents. If LaWanda was born in 1920, that photo which looks like is from the 60s is too modern for that to be her mother.
We love Lawanda!
I love Aunt Ester, she was so funny
She was not married to John peel. John peel is almost 20 years younger than her
Thanks for the clarification. This video is very poorly done. I'm starting to think it's A.I. generated
Kind woman, and decent actrees...😊
Loved Aunt Esther.
(Fish eye fool) she was a germ she really was a good person RIP to her an Fred
She made the show what it was
Aunt Esther made the show. "You fizzy headed old fool"
Or Archie new neighbor that would have been fun to watch . I wish she would have had a chance to do more parts on TV Shows
I notice a lot of dark skin female popular actresses back than was always called ugly as jokes on different shows
Mississippi?
There's a lot of untrue testimonials that lady in those documents. Some say she was born in Saint Louis Missouri, some say Ohio some say some other cities. So you really don't know which one is true.
