Whenever I deleted villagers I'd just assume they hang up their working tools and quickly volunteered for enlistment in the army to protect the kingdom, then I'd feel good about it

There should be a "retire" hotkey where they fade away (for military units as well) I hate deleting units.

I was just thinking this watching his Bombard Tower video.
Some like top 500 players or whatever mid-high elo is, so they are good games, not Low Elo Legends, but not so high that the game is decided by millimeters off perfection.

Ya man such an underrated strategy. I always go fast 15 minute feudal and get really close to winning every time so it’s definitely a good strategy.
I am still learning how to rush but it is great strat.
Nobody who ever tried this strategy in a 1v1 came in worse than 2nd place. Shows you how good it is.

Sadly I think the attitude of taking every current advantage possible is something that has happened quite recently (5-10 years ago, I guess)
Every person in every community I was involved with 10-15 years ago had this "honourable" mentality that would do EXACTLY this (even it out for a *real* game)
The thing is, even in this setting, there is no downside to doing this. You are gaining nothing by winning this battle through a resignation. You will get an artificial rating boost that will likely have you destroyed over the next few games, essentially levelling it out. HOWEVER, if you are friendly like this, you might gain a friend or some mutual respect that will last. You will also gain the experience of a "legit" game, with the added bonus that it's unusual, forcing you to think more!
To me it seems like newer players in many games and communities just don't understand the advantage of mutual respect and cooperation, and too many people want the quick win.

Deleting workers in RTS games makes a lot of sense if you can build up a massive army and make one final push for victory.
In StarCraft 2, you can lose matches for having too many workers and a too small army.
Pros do it quite regularly in late game in aoe. Sometimes just a few to balance, other times they will delete their ENTIRE eco just for memes.

Have you ever thought of casting some games of Galactic Battlegrounds? possibly Galactic Battlegrounds with the Expanding Fronts mod as well? It's essentially an Age of Empires II clone but it's really done quite well and has some additions to it too.
I love these guys, because thats a so nice play from both of them! That's how you should play. Be fair and have fun! :-)

This shows some of the problems of 1v1 matchmaking in de.
1. Its retarted that they still havent implimented an afk check. This is the complete fault of the devs.
2. We cant sae, its something that everyone wants espeically when its an island game where its been neck & neck or a cancerous megarandom with a giant river and two players strongholding on both sides and we just want the cancer to end.

Hey, is it possible that once BacT screwed up and allowed the army to come in from that one hole could he have blocked that hole and evacuated all his villagers while at the same time try trapping the Knights in his own base?
