Simona has had a panic attack in the 2nd set for unknown reason she's admitted. Medics had to come on to check on her, and from then on she just wasn't herself. They even had to come on again to double check her blood pressure etc but she was just her own shadow. Shame :-(

Halep conveniently had her "panic attacks" down in the third set, after Zheng had reeled off 8 consecutive games. Halep had taken the first set and up a break early in the second set when Zheng started crushing it (eventually won 12 of the final 13 games). Halep was trying to ice Zheng, a young player, in the third set. Imagine if she had rebounded and won ... there would 100% be questions about her gamesmanship and "cheating." But instead, since she lost, Halep is lauded for her courage and bringing "mental health" into the light again.

they are very different players per se. I would say other than both having a lot of power, not many similarities between the two.
Their weaknesses are however in large similar - net games, mentality, playing with slices, etc.

she has tons of pressure, to get back in top 10 where she had been for the past 7 years before she got out because of the injuries, to prove herself to Patrick Mouratoglu (whi was the trainer of Serena and they got 13 GS together), and she's coming after repeated injuries...not easy...she delcared afterwards that patience is not one her virtues and she wants everything on fast forward, hence the panic attack...too much pressure to whistand, overall she a human being, too :-)

Grand Slam ?!.

Simona's body is no longer able to withstand this challenging sport. She is no longer in her early twenties. Choosing a new coach is just a smokescreen. Patrick is no magician.
Even if she had won this game the next could have proved more difficult.
The Chinese girl simply played relaxed.

In this shot of the match, it is clear that exhaling air from the larynx combined with screaming costs the player a lot of energy effort. The first set was won, but in the following sets you can see how this way of behavior exhausts and leads to a demolishing defeat.
It's unforgivable that women's tennis coaches allow it.

So maybe that zheng will end Iga's continued victory. Looking from the way zheng plays the probability for her to beat Iga is high. I would not be surprised if in the near future she manages to lift the big tournament trophy.
