I am super excited to start a new series of videos with the assistance of BMW of Seattle! I get questions all the time asking for comparisons in various OEM options like brakes or exhaust!
Comparing exhaust is best when on two identical models, and I was happy to get my hands on two gorgeous M2 Competition models to show the differences! This is the best way to hear the same motor, midpipes, cats and other options, so you are truly comparing apples to apples.
I also wanted to share for local fans, Seattle BMW has started an enthusiast club! If you check this out, and want to get the M Performance exhaust on you car as well (and many other options too) head in and become a member to the club. Mention the club and the "BMW DIY Guy" and get a 15% discount for being a member! *NOW* Check out all of the specifics on parts or services for the details, and obviously not on a new or used car. Discounts are awesome, chat them up for the specifics! More to come on this topic as well.
Check it out, see if this is something you want to add to your car and let me know what you think! Also if you have suggestions for more OEM comparisons or reviews, let me know in the comments!
Much much more to come!
I’m here for M2 competition content. All day everyday.
Me too.. price no object, that would be my choice right now, unless of course I could get that S58 M2CS
Wish my neighbors would like it as much as I do.
😂
Through in an Active Autowerke midpipe and REALLY wake them up in the mornings! 8)
Great video 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much!
sound aside, is there any air flow difference?
the difference is 99.9% sound. 8)
Should have done drive by videos
The irony? I eventually bought that black M2C in the video!
Did you use a shorter rubber hanger on the MPE? Cause I noticed that the pipes are hanging a bit higher then mine
In this case, both setups are exactly oem stock so how they came from BMW. If yours has oem hangers, may just be an optical illusion
@@BMWDIYGuy okay thank you!
Thanks for the video, but this is confusing. There are three modes on the M2 Comp: efficiency, sport and sport-plus. You only give samples of two modes without labeling them. Which two of the three modes are in the video?
Correct I only did two as efficient and sport plus give the most dramatic differences in throttle response and exhaust valve behavior. There wasn't enough difference with just sport to make it worth it. I really appreciate the comment and you watching as well! Want the irony? I bought that black M2C a few months later. 8)
@@BMWDIYGuy Makes sense. I might add that in the description for future viewers. Love the content. Thanks.
Do you have opf (otto particel filter) in the US in these cars?
No we do not.
ive been looking at m performance for my M2 competition not worth the $6500 to me not including install. just do a mid pipe only way cheaper to me.
exhaust from lightweight sounds amazing from OPF. about 3000 Euros and it is 7kg lighter and sounds amazing. I like m performance but everything is so fucking expensiv. mirror carbon caps over 1000 Euro lol
