"Certified whiner. Boo-hoo. Let me throw you a pity party". LMAO. You are too funny. So the water buffaloes and cows go into the rivers and poo and then people down stream play in the water?
Hi Katherine. I love your videos. I'm probably an uncle so I'll try to tell you something wise. Do you really own anything? Who are you waiting for to sit on that furniture and who are you waiting to see your art? Do not worry so much about things and deprogram your mind to focus on people you love including yourself. No one is judging you wrongly. You are doing and making a great job. Love you in a family way.
Hey Katherine.. nice video.. keep uploading. I am trying to learn mandarin through videos and vlogs like yours. Just wanted to know if you can share me the details of the inn where you stayed, which run by the couple in the bamboo forest. Currently , i stay in Shanghai and would love to visit your beautiful province and that Inn.
Your rugs are amazing and the colour just fantastic! I love rugs! Great summer indeed and beautiful outdoor activities! Thank you Katherine for this nice video 💕🪻🍀
funny thing, when I was a child, I'd thought the water buffalo were fierce because of their horns. turned out they are very gentle animal. on the other hand, the cattle looks peaceful, they surely have temper!
OMG , this young & beautiful girl really knows how to enjoy life and make use of her spare time after work 🎉🎉🎉 ( she knows what she wants and she do what she likes 👍 , my dream life)
Loved your video, especially the part where you got out of the Qiangtang River's mud. Seeing you keep smiling in that situation really gave me a sense of peace and reminded me of my childhood experiences. Back then, I was never afraid of the hot sun or dirty mud, and could play in the water with my friends all day long.
Thank you from the top to the bottom of my heart. I love your movies. Your cinema is astonishing and very warm. I think your videos are pure art. I worked for a Chinese (TB) family restaurant and my best friend for many years was a wonderful lady who always helped me and shared with me many truths and foot rubs. You remind me of every great and honest human being and wonderful friend who shares art, facts and feelings. Thank you.
Again another beautiful vlog to watch in a relaxing Sunday, here Washington. Excited much what to see, to your new vlog in the making for US tour this time. Greeting from Washington of USA with LOVE. ❤
My country is getting colder and colder. I am scared that maybe next year we might even get some snow. #justkidding 😂 But it’s still getting colder and colder for a tropical Savannah country
American Country music - I remember someone jokingly called it 'Red neck music'! 😂 I am glad that there is room on your wall for Christian icons, even though you're not religious. 🙏 Happy Mooncake Festival.
I am just envious of your positive outlook in life! Indeed there is always something and no difference anywhere. The trick is how you handle it when not so pleasant things happen.
This video reminds me of why I'm your follower--your work involves environment protection!!! I'm veeery environment conscious. Not to mention my first English name was Katherine, and I studied at Nanda. 🤣
Yay. Your coming home. I'm in Hudson Fl. Your welcome to visit with your family. We could kyak the Wikie Watchie River. !!!Last year I saw Chinese couple kyaking. I went nuts to get close to them. So I could make friends. Luckily they spoke English. Cause all I could say was Nehow. Uggg....well I love Cina like you. Hugs happy FALL Season.
I'm planning to visit Florida on my next-next trip to the US, December 2025! (yes I plan this far ahead 😂😂😂) , would love to go kayaking with you ! I haven't been to Florida in over a decade. We used to go there almost every year to see the springs 🌴
Hey kat we are loving your new video I'm so glad your beautiful rugs didn't got ruined living in country and sides of china is like that get use to it especially you're living in southern part of china
Great video as always ! Yes, fall is almost here. I’ll be going over to Burlington, VT at end of September to see the fall colour in their full glory. Enjoy your trip back home!
I am impressed with the water quality in the creeks. I was in China in the Spring this year and will visit again in the Fall. I haven't noticed any air pollution problems so far. Do you think the EVs play an important role for this?
Watching this on Labor Day, wishing my Labor Day could be this fun...at least the part about rafting on that freshwater creek with the BBQ's and picnics onshore. NOT the part about wallowing in mud! But anyway the contrast between the day on the pristine creek and the mud swim was so comical!
Fun video! You should make rap music with the lady fruit hawker or hawkers from various regions of rural China. Relieved you survived the great mold invasion of 2024, without being eaten by the Mold Queen! I hope you travel widely on your return to the States and comment on the changes from six years ago. I live in the SFBA and if I were abroad for six years, I'd be shocked at the changes here, and not in a good way.
I wish I could go to lots of places hahaha but I can't get enough time off work to do much traveling! Best I can do is Virginia, Wisconsin, and Vermont 😭 and my mother was just telling me an hour ago about Venezuelan gangs taking over an apartment building in Colorado so yeah sounds like things are going great over there 🙄️
it happened when I was away for a work trip, I travel so much that I can't keep those going 24/7 so the mold is inevitable unfortunately 😂 but I would still rather spend a couple days out of the year scrubbing mold , than trade out the wood/grass/bamboo aesthetic for plastic
Against moisture you need air entry through your living room windows and air extraction in bathroom, loo, and kitchen. 2 cm clearance under doors to let air move. 35 m3/h of fresh air must enter and exit your home. You risk problems with your lungs (sarcoidosis).
Rugs do add character to your house. As for the occasional mold attack, would fans help? Of course, it's another household appliance that some may find "ugly" to be around. I do like Country Western music. Since Zhejiang province appears to be hilly, I would think Appalachian music would be "at home" there. I highly recommend "Songs of the Hills - Instrumental Impressions of Appalachian Classics" CD. My question for your upcoming Q & A video: Ask your aunt what she thinks of your interesting US map that shows Vermont being a part of the bigger region called "New York"? 😄 Are there places in China that have similar New England fall colors?
And yes there is amazing fall scenery here too but it’s in the north nowhere near me so I haven’t been able to travel to capture it because of work 🥺 might be able to next year
I am learning so much from far away in northern California. I like small towns and villages too. I live in a small city, but I don't feel safe walking at night as a mature woman. I walk with pepper spray and a stick in the mornings. I travel twice a year usually to Europe's small towns and feel very safe there. I would like to travel to China one day. Tell me: are there robberies/assaults? Rapes? Drug trafficking, addicts on the streets in the big cities? If I feel safe, I will go.
There is very little crime here nowadays, it's nothing like it was 10 years ago when my Chinese friends warned me to not even leave my phone on the table while eating at a restaurant because someone would steal it 😂 very strict drug policies here so definitely no addicts on the street. homelessness isn't really a problem, there is endless excess housing because of all the people leaving rural areas, and low-paying jobs provide dormitories. I walk around alone at night in cities and rural areas alike. Come visit sometime 🐼

Despite the minor shortcomings, your life there looks quite enjoyable.
I love your channel Katherine, and your life in rural China looks fabulous.
Hi Katherine, The outdoor fun looks pretty impressive. I envy you😊
You have a nice and warm house especially with the rug well design.
I'm glad your rugs were unharmed. They're really gorgeous! Your home looks like a palace in an absolute place of wonder. Lucky life ❤🎉
The chances are that those rugs are lack of the mold supporting nutrients. After all, mold is a life form and needs nutrients to survive.

OMG. It looks so funny. It is 35 degress or even 36 degrees here. I wished I could go there and have a lot fun in the river.

You need a dehumidifier, maybe two, to fight the mold. 😁

One of your funniest videos I've seen, not least your deadpan advice that we should check out a certain useful gadget called a "vacuum cleaner." 😂

I believe air conditioning and dehumidifier will help with molds.

You need to buy an air conditioner. Air conditioner can suck to moisture out of the room.
Thanks for creating this amazing video clip. All the best to you brave gal. Have a good safe trip back to USA. Best regards 🍻
A de-humidifier may help to minimise the mould building up in the house!
