Top vid as always, yeah Halesowen definitely needs it's own day mate, you'll love the run of pubs on the Stourbridge Road (Waggon and Horses, the Edward, the Whitley and the Hawne Tavern) cracking real ale pubs.

Ashley hotel, run by my uncle Charlie and aunt Lou for many years. Pulled my first pint there when I was about 10. Couldn't take the money for it though!

My Nan's brother played for Aston Villa in the 1920s and has one of those information boards in the Blackheath Wetherspoons and a road named after him near the Sainsbury's

It's called a kukri, I have one on a shelf in my house. There should be two small blades in the sheath as well.

Your site just popped up at random and I really like it so have subscribed. I'm biased but you can't really beat a good old fashioned Black Country pub. Reasonable prices (which I think you should include), very friendly people and of course mainly Baggies fans.

Great video! I live in Birmingham and I’ve got a Monday off in a couple of weeks, so I might have a venture to Cradley Heath. Will get the train in. Any suggestions on a starting point?

Love the videos mate 👍🏻 think you need to come back and do Halesowen again tho as you were in Blackheath, Rowley and Shell corner more so.
If you're open to suggestions I'd try Cradley, Colley gate then Halesowen run of pubs.

Not sure why the peel has a bad rep, being from the area i hadn't heard this. The pub i always found intimidating was the shoulder of mutton, especially with all the roid heads that used to use it but it looked quite empty on this video

used to be a local and drank copious amounts of ales in all these pubs in the late 80s and 90s...sad to see none of them have proper handpulled ales now (except the micropub)... Madri etc is just awful beer. I appreciate you checking out all these pubs but honestly, they are all a pale imitation of how good they used to be - with the notable exception of the always good black country ale pubs. mind you, they didn't welcome non-locals in those days.
