I grew up in Droitwich. My nan actually ran the Westcroft. I lived upstairs for the first few years of my life. One thing I will say, the day drinking culture there is by far better than the night life. Sundays in the Garter with the usual lot is honestly the best thing. Hoppole is by far my favourite, though. Class place. Keep up the good work, guys.

The Corner Pin was a great pub. No tv, music, Food, just good beer and company.

used to be a local and drank copious amounts of ales in all these pubs in the late 80s and 90s...sad to see none of them have proper handpulled ales now (except the micropub)... Madri etc is just awful beer. I appreciate you checking out all these pubs but honestly, they are all a pale imitation of how good they used to be - with the notable exception of the always good black country ale pubs. mind you, they didn't welcome non-locals in those days.

If you came out the hop pole and turned left and did a loop over canal bridge you would have passed The Railway pub on you way to Gardeners arms.

I would'nt go in The Barton Arms at night. Oohhh no, unless ya wanna get robbed and assulted. Frightening area.

You need to continue on from the Kingsbridge. There’s another 3 or 4 pubs then The Old Wharf next to the canal

Done Stamford and the surrounding area a couple of times on pub crawls and Camra coach trips. Certainly worth a visit and it's handy by train. I know you did Peterborough a few months ago but worth mentioning is, every August Peterborough does have what is probably the biggest and best British beer festival under canvass, situated next to the river Nene, with usually around 500 plus beers available?

Grew up in Halesowen (the first 4 pubs being within 5-10 minute walk) but since moved to Australia. Pics is always like that. Saw a woman get glassed in there when I was back in June so don’t take it personally they’re just mental in there.

Ashley hotel, run by my uncle Charlie and aunt Lou for many years. Pulled my first pint there when I was about 10. Couldn't take the money for it though!

I discovered DIPAs in the USA and just can’t resist them now. I can’t believe there’s one that comes from my hometown called ‘Ooh yah Beauteh!’ in proper Leicester pronunciation! I have to try it!!!

Back in the 80’s as a teenager I used to come over from Sheffield to go out on the town with my Nephew, always started off in Witch and Wardrobe, then on to Roman Ruin, Barbican, Sports bar (Sorry Marina 😘) Martha’s wine bar etc, always ended up in a nightclub, Ronnies and Ronnelles, Cinderellas or our favourite, the Oasis down Newlands, Lincoln guys didn’t like me but the girls did 😉 Amazing times, not the same now, you’ll never get that atmosphere again, although I do still love Lincoln.

Torquay harbourside is a lovely place for drinks, just a shame the upper end of the high street has been left almost derelict, leaving behind lovely architecture dragged down by dozens of vacated retail space - probably priced out by greedy landlords. Anyway (!) great video my friend, keep them coming.

On a pedantic note Mitchells and Butlers don't buy beautiful pubs......originally M&B built beautiful pubs.

I work at The New Inn and I can honestly say it's my favourite! I feel so comfortable going in on my days off for a drink and the food is amazing! Glad you had a good time in our village!

I live about 15mins from Holmfirth...and can't believe how many bars are there now doing business.Pretty worrying really.

In the 1970s, the Blue Gates was called the Blue Duck. The gaffer had DJ nights in the downstairs back room, where your opening shot was. I don't know if it's still there but that was a big room too with a minstrel's gallery no less! It got a bit lively on Saturdays 🤣 It was built as one of M&B's signature pubs/hotels. There are a lot of big pubs in the area that were M&B houses back in the day.

Harborne stores was epic in early 2000s £1.25 any pint all say everyday.Many hangovers were made in there.

New inn is such a great pub
