Hey guys! I'm looking into getting these skis. I'm kinda in between Bob and Jeff at 164lbs and 5'11". What size should I get, or what would the advantages/disadvantages be of either the 178 or the 184?
Hi Eli! My instincts are to go with the 178 cm length. The Captis is designed to be a fun, playful all-mountain ski and you could take some of that away if you go too long. You and I (Jeff) are pretty close in size (5'10 somewhere between 150 and 160 lbs). I'd go with the 178 cm for myself and I expect we'd like the same length.
Here goes then! I'm 182cm tall and around 95kg to 100kg depending on season! I love these skis but suspect I'm a little heavy for them! What ski could you recommend for similar performance if not these! Thanks
Hey Craig! The Rustler 9 from Blizzard comes to mind. It has a similar shape and is very playful and fun, but there's a little metal underfoot, which helps with stability for heavier skiers. Take a look and let me know what you think!
More of a twin tip shape in the Captis, that's a pretty significant difference in my opinion. Aside from that, they are relatively similar. Playful, maneuverable, versatile, etc. I think it's fair to say the Ripstick has more edge grip, mostly due to its construction, while the Captis has more freestyle-playfulness.
Hey Guys! How would you say compares the Captis to the mindbender 90c? I skied the mindbender 90c and absolutely loved it. However I need a longer ski so I'm thinking about buying the Captis. Thanks for your time!
Pretty similar. The shapes are a little different as the Captis has more rise in the tail, but overall they're going to perform pretty similarly. It was one of Bob's favorite skis of the test!
How much do you weigh? My instincts are to go with the 184 cm. The Captis is light and very user-friendly. The 178 should only be a consideration if you're very lightweight yourself, or a relatively timid skier.
@@rohanrasic5156 Camox is just a little wider, which makes it a little bit more stable through choppy snow. Both are a lot of fun. I think the 184 cm Captis would be a reasonable choice, but I'm sure you'd enjoy the Camox too. A little better in soft snow.
Thanks again, but i have a last question sorry : if i choose the camox, the 180cm will be a good choice? (Maybe the 186cm will be too long or just a 50/50)
Pretty much, yeah. It's definitely more than just tail rocker. The tail doesn't rise tremendously high off the snow, but I consider it a twin tip, yes.

How does the Captis compare with the Ripstick 88’s? They both seem to be described as light, fun and playful.

@@janl7946 Thanks so much for sharing! They are a heck of a lot of fun.
Did they change anything performance wise on the 2021 model or are they the same ski with different graphics? Thanks.
Just a new graphic, which happens to carry-over to 2022 as well, so 2020 will still be the same ski as the 2022 version.
How do these skis compare to the enforcer 88/93?
Lighter, softer flexing, and more playful overall. Super fun skis, we had a blast testing them.
Hello : i am an intermediate skier and i’am 187 cm. Should i buy the captis in 178 cm or 184 cm. Thanks

Thanks, i weigh 70 kg and i want to go in resort and off-pist (70/30)
But i also look for the camox... What do you think about it for me?

Is it a full twin tip?
