The editing in this video is insane! So much work put into making sure you are videoing all the work you carry out! Just found your channel on the main youtube home page, have subbed and will be binge watching your oldest to newest videos! Just got an 2009 1.8T A4 so my search history is probably the reason for your channel popping up.. Thumbs up guys
Engine oil looked a bit black? but what do I know! only that I change mine every year regardless of miles along with the oil filter and always use the recommended brand by the manufacturer. Maybe that's why I haven't had any trouble yet?
I do enjoy your videos. For all the videos I watched, I do feel grateful that I choose EA888 engine for my Audi. Looks like EA888 has less hassle to service especially when changing the timing chain.
Correct and they are also cheaper to maintain. This is coming from someone who had EA888 and upgraded to EA839 (V6T). Keep the EA888, they are reliable engines.
I love the 07k motor. I have a mk5 Jetta n/a with the 07k . The more I research VAG the more I love them. Yes, Audi can be a bit complicated, compared to VW, but awesome cars any way. Great videos.
Again, looks like lack of oil changes. Sticking to the factory set oil changes will not help with the long-standing reliability of any car! Just my thoughts!
Yes,engine loosing synchronization due to old chain or as in this case...camshaft sprockets....this engine ECU is very very sensitive to syncronization.....
Need a bit of help, I have the 4000rpm error but mine is a code for the oil pressure switch. I replaced the low pressure switch now I need to replace the other one (high pressure). I have the part but I cannot find where it needs to be fitted.
We’re I live all the garages are poo every time I get my vw van back there’s always a new problem and they don’t fix the problems when it’s apart. I.e Had cam belt replaced and then one of the wheels went two months later then my alternator fell apart there is oil leaks I just say to him when it’s a part fixed a lot but they’re not interested I’ve literally been to about six different garages where I live why can’t you be near me top work enjoying the videos thanks
good evening I have the same problem on my 2.5 tfsi cepb as soon as the car has a fault in the oil pressure and the epc warning light and the 4000 rpm limit check the pressure cold engine pressures 1.25 idle 3 bar at 2000 3.4 bar at 3000 once the oil starts to heat up pressure limit epc oil warning light and noise being heard after light acceleration and release (a grrrrii)
hey 👋 i love the contain of your video really enjoyed it, i am a young technician in UAE love working on rs3 or daza engine's, it will to help me please i want to understand more about this timing and the torgue specks
Hey 👋 love the content on the channel you really know lots about these engines. I have a 2011 Q7 with the 6 cylinder supercharged engine here in USA and wanted to do a valve cleaner either CRC intake cleaner or seafoam , would you recommend this type of maintenance or do i risk damaging the engine ? Thanks 🙏
Hi guys, do you have as many issues with these as the 6 cylinder TFSI engines. I want an RSQ3 (Gen 2) rather than Gen 1 but don’t want to buy a whole heap of trouble.
@@VAGTechnic yes thanks for the response appreciate, i have the tools to lock the crankshaft another one to lock camshafts , my maine issue is fixing the chain
Great videos ( pity about the music !) Truly amazing engines but they all seem to suffer from the same issues . So how much does it cost to own an Audi compared to Japanese or Ford say ?
The 2.0 has the timing chain on the front of the engine, unlike the 2,5, so no. But the EPC light and do not exceed 4k rpm can mean other faults as well. I've seen it caused by a faulty thermostat actuator.
@@VAGTechnic honestly, i love your content, i just picked up a 2015 SQ5 with a startup chain rattle, i am learning a lot from all of your videos. I also have a RS3 engine/trans destined for a future project and would have loved to seen a longer version of this video as well as losing all of the jump cuts and stuttering/flickering is just headache inducing. I get it, this video is an advert for your shop, you are not FCP Euro with how-to's, but I find watching different channels content on the same subject manner the best way to learn before doing. Thanks again for the content.
Right tools, and right knowledge is what that engine lacked before it came to you, in addition to proper oil changes!
The work you guys do is so perfect, just like artwork, you have the knowledge, skills and tools.
The videos are entertaining and highly educational
❤

I’d love to bring one of these in for winter driving. One of my favourite engines.
It's hard work. Hat down. The video is amazing !

Pure genius !
How could an owner treat such a beautiful car with such disregard?

Indeed! Especially with a 5cyl car with over 300hp.. I do 7500km changes, which literally cost 55 euros.

Great job guys, watching from Arizona!
If possible will you list the cost of parts and the hours of labour . This will give owners a guide line .

Love the music in the videos. Best car channel going
There is a beeping noise coming from time to time, I think its from a fire alarm with low battery?
Need a bit of help, I have the 4000rpm error but mine is a code for the oil pressure switch. I replaced the low pressure switch now I need to replace the other one (high pressure). I have the part but I cannot find where it needs to be fitted.
What kind of oil can damage an engine that much?
what engine mount used to keep the engine from falling out after removing the engine mounts?
Wow! a massive job only to change the timing chain, what was Audi and BMW engineers thinking?
Limited space is what they where thinking...

Oh buggers mines showing 62k no rattles. Knocks but limited to 4000rpm. What measureing blocks do I check in vcds

after looking the crankshaft, and camshafts also does the camshaft adjusters have any particular position to fix , thanks for your kind response
Yes there is locking pin from side of the engine block , ideal get the whole kit for timing for this

RS Dreams 😍
Just a question will you ever replace the battery in the smoke alarm??
No
seriously what on earth happened to the ice engine? this is insane
Love the video! What kind of sealant did you use for the lower timing cover ?
Looks like the ordinary OEM sealant from Loctite.
@@panzerveps which one exactly from loctite?
@@lordjaashin Pretty sure its Loctite 5910.
Call your local VAG shop to be sure, but this is what we use the most.
would have been nice to hear first start
I was under the impression the 5 cylinder was just the a CYFB with an added cylinder. Its completely different lol
Hi VAG Technik,
Which flywheel and clutch does Audi use from factory for the manual audi s3 2009/2012 facelift model?
Is it LUK?
Thanks
Non brand … for start stop use only genuine

Great job but not a fan of the strobing!!
great job ! nice video
which song on 9.20?
How much for this job Audi rs3 2016
Hi, depends what exactly need doing , this job on video was 2800£
Lucky I don’t own one. Couldn’t afford to repair it lol
This happened to me in my 2011 A4 2.0 manual do I have to do this to fix it ?

Yes he Did

Hi
Can somebody tell me, why Tyson Fury repair Audi on retirement ? :D
Nothing better to do

what engine mount used to keep the engine from falling out after removing the engine mounts?
From what i gather Audi's like to stretch their timing chains...
So you didn’t gather it good …
