Oh man, you weren't kidding about those Grischuk interviews. "Am I satisfied? I mean it was okay, I slept for half the game. Then I wake up and I only have six minutes"
You should check all Grischuk interview
Nah, just another interview by Sasha. Not even his top-20
After watching every english interview with him now I have to learn russian to watch the rest
You got link?
Can you share the link to this? Man, just spit my coffee all over while reading this 🤣🤣
I've been thinking about yesterday and I actually think players would be able to give their spot to Ding Liren. Not because they "give" them their spot, but because FIDE takes in replacements based on rating.
How are you. What is your name
چرا اسم تو نگفتی؟
@@koroshabdoli1739 dum fuk
It would be FIDE's choice but if Hikaru qualified then withdrew and said he wanted Ding to take his place I can't see FIDE choosing someone else
Well, Ding Liren would CLEARLY be the next guy up if I'm not mistaken, assuming they don't have any reason to pick someone based on a different . . . something. In other words, it seems like they *should* have Ding Liren as the "replacement" in that scenario unless some other factors are at play.
If you are around 1800 plus or have a decent understanding of chess, getting high and going through these recaps is the best experience you'll have
I'm 1400 and I agree
1650 agreee
Im 700 but Im high, does it count?
400 but still agree
-1800 but i agree
"this is all forced now"
seconds later:
"white has so many moves here"
“In this case whopping the d out is acceptable behaviour”, Levy, 2022
Eh... that's "whipping". I think whopping involves a more vigourous activity. And don't get me started on "wapping".
Expected nothing less than son of Gary chess himself

One of the things I love about Gotham is that he is totally independent, butt i find his content more entertaining and intriguing than the most shows on cable tv.
How does one streamer outdo a whole network?
I think its his passion for the game, and his realness as a person.
keep it up Gotham!
His industry.
It is a pity that Levon never played a match for the world title.
He did play in candidates. His playing style is a bit unorthodox. We are not sure which levon will show up in the games.Levon, Nepo, Duvob are sometimes too creative to win their games.
@@saumenroy8710 The Ex-Soviets playing unorthodox.
@@TheArmenianSolider65 I know that Soviets had Prioritised chess in their period and Soviet championship was said to be harder than WCC. surely Soviet-era had great chess culture.
Yet.
That Levon v Keymer game was the definition of "there's levels to this sht".
Keymer ist the greatest up and comer Germany had in this millenium but Levon is already at the level any young GM could aspire to get too.
I wouldn't be so harsh judging Keymer's potential... remember, he's currently playing chess part-time alongside school, while most of the young GMs around his age don't need to "waste time" on it.
According to Kramnik (his trainer) it's really holding him back and he said in a recent interview that he's really excited about the progress he expects Vincent will be able to express once he graduates this year.
@@raffaeledivora9517 I didn't mean to be harsh. I think Vincent would be flattered if someone told him he'll reach the level Levon at his peak was at.
@@raffaeledivora9517 like not having school exams will make a difference lol Kramnik also said that they still have many holes in their playing style that they need to work on and experience to gain and btw the gentleman who wrote the comment was not harsh at all he literally described Keymer as Germanys greatest up and coming player
@@callmewisdom Nah you people need to stop underestimating how hard it is to reach 2700 let alone 2830
"You would lose this with white. Hey just for the record that's a joke." Listen levy, I would 100% lose this with white, let's not kid ourselves here.
Levy: I’m not a rapper
His 1 mil subscriber song: am I a joke to you?
you uploaded this video the exact minute agadmator uploaded his. LOL
Yeah my phone rang two times 😂
Who?
I just love Levy's energy and enthusiasm, he makes game analysis quite entertaining!
His mirth over the Levon game was particularly infectious I thought.
i absolutely adore your openings. they're competent enough to be entertaining, while also improvised enough to feel natural. keep up the good work!
Cool
Levy confirmed competent
You can check out his opening course if you like his openings
Which opening type? The video opening or the opening courses?
@@isaacpowrie465 - Clearly he's talking about opening courses. He likes Levy's Caro Kann
Levy, I love your videos - I watch them all, genuinely. Part of my favourite elements of the videos is being told, rightly, that I’d lose a winning position! Always makes me laugh, and is always true…but for the fact there’s no way I’d have gotten to that stage of the game without hanging many pieces beforehand. 😂
Also, I love when you allow yourself to give insight into what madness Stockfish offers up as an escape route. Not only is it fascinating and enlightening (if a little infuriating…”shut up computer”) - but it’s also really funny to see you plot out what it recommends…only to then get pissed at the absurdity of what it’s suggesting!
Thanks a million for the videos - I’m knee deep in Covid at the moment, they’re keeping me sane. ❤️
Recover quickly, man. You're worth more than a queen, remember.
Rook a4 reference, gotta love it. Thx for the premium content Levy!
I was just looking for a recap when you uploaded awesome
Great recap video btw Levy! Thanks for the amazing content as always!
Love the energy in this one, Levy. Great recap!
It's so enjoyable to watch your coverage of these games! Good job!
New-ish to chess, and your channel is a really fantastic resource and I dig your style. Such a great flow of awesome content. Thank you.
Welcome to the Community
Heating up! Some crazy games with missed chances. Hugely entertaining recap! Looking forward to the 4th Round. Thanks for the hard work!
Loving the well produced videos! Keep up the good work levy! 💯
My boy
Thanks for the great recap! Love your channel!
"Shame on you for feeling that way." Oh my god, I laughed so hard! That was the best belly laugh I've had in ages! Thank you, Levi. ;p

Thank you Levy for all you do in your videos man, your evolution has your prowess to commentate these games have been so much fun to watch. I don’t miss a video and yes, us true Gotham fans do watch the whole way through. May I suggest with these new lines when they are coming from the black side just to flip the board for that moment to see it from that pov. I’m sure I’m not the only that memorizes lines when we see it from the pov of our own end. Thanks again man ! 🙏🏼✨🤘🏼 I wish you nothing but continuous success sir!
14:30 "He obviously saw rook A4 he just didn't like it" killed me lmao
I love watching these recaps every night before I go to sleep. Thank you for making these levy
Grischuk said he missed a5 I believe, so he didn’t see the rook is trapped, but it ended up ok cause he found rc1 later which kept things equal
Thanks for the spoiler
@@niklaswetz1300 obvious troll is obvious
You should make a poll about who everyone's favorite player is in each group
another good recap, tyvm
I enjoy so much with these recaps im feeling stronger player guessing a lot of moves after watching this and then im opening site make a game and dont know what to do after the opening . Chess is hard game
An absolute masterclass by Levon Aronian, a GM I feel like not enough people talk about.
it is because the dude is old he was one of the most talked about GMs for a looooong time but he is not as good as he was unfortunately
Levy, you're awesome man. Could you give us a standings update after each match? I know I could just look em up but sometimes I'm behind and don't want the spoilers. Keep up the great content my dude.
21:42 when i was analysing french defense, the engine was saying a3 is best move. Not to mention a3 leads to some complicated game when both sides play the top moves.
another legendary recap by you
love these recaps
Great Mr Levy , thank you for analysis

"In this case, whipping the d out is actually accepted behaviour"
-Levy 2022
Excellent recap, highlighting salient moves, the side notes on missed moves are instructive but optional homework. A very exciting set of players that you are really spotlighting, go Hikaru. The chess gods will reward you Levy.
Ohh that Aronian game was beautiful!
When are u going to do another guess the ELO. I love watching those episodes.
Finally a good vídeo to watch while lunching
Hi Levy, we just wanted to say you are doing a great job on RUclips. We watch everyday before we go to sleep!
Levy you're the best man, I watch these to the end always. Any chance you could have the player's rating next to their name? Either way keep it up man
“We are about to have some even more fun” what a line levy!
18:10 I can't tell you how hard that joke made me laugh... in the office... at work. I DIED!!! Lovin the content, Levy. Keep it up! :)

Levy: "White has no pawn breaks"
The g4 square: "Am I a joke to you?"
that is break for your opponent not for yourself
THE THUMBNAILS ARE THE SWEETEST EVERR!! LOVE YOU LEVY
Hey Levy.. your daily video is what I watch first thing everyday and I love your sarcasm and humor.. especially when you joke at the audience, please continue to do that man.. chess is hard and we all need your jokes my man
“Shame on you for feeling that way”
That was beautiful! 👏🏽😂
It's always a joy watching your videosGotham, ty for the amazing content
this recap was super fun
Thanks for the recaps it's great to see the thought process of higher level players.
Also, Levy, one other thing I wanted to ask; in the position shown at 36:00 after Bxf3 doesn't white still have Bc1? I mean, technically the resulting position is worse for white (pawn left on the edge of the board rather than near the center) than the position that was reached in the game but with the way the evaluation was worded it sounded like you couldn't allow that position at all.
This was great thanks Levy
157th day of translating Levy's titles into Neapolitan: "O GM chiù pericolos"
translating Levy's titles into Portuguese just once: "O GM mais perigoso"
And what’s the point
@@maxtv333thesuperstar3 there's none. I just like translating them
I play the Caro-Kann so often that I’m starting to get vertigo whenever I see a Caro game from the White perspective. Which is unfortunate because I sometimes play e4 and thus occasionally *face* the Caro from White’s perspective…
I appreciate you for saying polish names correctly both Wojtaszek and Duda. Not an easy job! Cheers
18:01 Levy out here actin like he isn't a good lookin dude lmao xD
hey Levi quick suggestion if u are allowed to it would be nice to implement some good moments from interviews after the reviews I would like that dynamic. keep up the good content
did u just say Levi

Would you please do an opening video on the Smith-Morra Gambit? I know you touched on it a little bit in your "EVERY Chess Gambit for White and Black" video, but it'd be nice to see something more comprehensive.
“What kind of idiots fighting in the park are we talking about??” LOL levy you’re the best 🤣😂🤣
0:07 Sike! That's a wrong number!
I hope you hit at least 1.5M subs by June and 2M by next Christmas
great content as always arigato sensei
“shame on you for feeling that way” 😂 that one got me
I am in fact watching it on Monday. Thank you
20:43 constructing Alekhine’s gun to win the c file, beautiful
If anyone wants to be technical, I know the queen’s not in the back but still it basically works the same way
Last time I was this early, Levy still had chances of ever becoming a GM
Oof
Now do a win at chess and Hikaru is your last opponent
This FIDE GP 2022 format is AWESOME! I have been watching it live and the games have been so competitive, I am watching them again here! Not sure if Hikaru is John Wick (I'm thinking he's back), or Grischuk, Baba Yaya, Dude cannot be killed and keeps coming back from impossible odds to draw and live to fight another day! That game was much more exciting live trying to calculate the possibilities given the rook stuck on the 7th.
"So Wesley" AHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH 28:30
It's really cool to see Levy correcting the way that he pronounces foreign words and names. As a Latin I find it a really respectful attitude towards other languages
I like that Levy didn't put the eval for this video. It makes the game feel more human and realistic
It’s so fascinating that although chess has been around for a while, a new position can be reached in under ten moves.
Low level chess sees bizarre things happen on every breath.
You wanna go back to a time when Levon wasn't a top 10 player? You would have to go back to mid 2005! The consistency on this guy is insane...
I love how Gotham gets upset about yt comments everytime when he's absolutely hyped and kills the moment😂😂
And also... No.. the psychopath takes with the pawn made me laugh loud 😂😂
As always... Great job Gotham. Greets from Munich. ✌🏼
Aronian game was unreal.
i was going to sleep but THIS CHANGED EVERYTHING!

"C takes d3 is a potential, visual travesty, and yet is highly effective and very talented. Kind of like myself!"
LMFAOOOO
Thank you for saying what you did during Wesley's game
Since you are reading comments about Leinier's name pronunciation you should know that he was born in Cuba, not France so you really should pronounce the "r"at the end of his name.
The best parts of the evaluation was shame on you for feeling like that oh man dont know why but it made chuckle lol
Levy you're just awesome man!
So, it's been three round and I've yet to see any grand prix
27:55 with E4 the bishops trapped no? They could trade bishops on C4 but black gets doubled pawns, blacks rook can’t take the file as the knights not developed, am I missing something there? Or blacks bishop could take the E4 pawn, whites knight or pawn takes, maybe trade knights and whites dark sq bishop and queen open up there diagonals? Would love some constructive feedback on this idea
In the interview after the match, Grischuk did say he missed A5 which could have won the match for Hikaru but he had rook c1 to save the position
"Ladies and gentle men" I just love this line !! 🥰🥰
Darien is the Grischuk of LOL. 😄
''visual travesty and yet is highly effective.. and very talented.. kind of like myself :)''
Spilled my water but worth it because that was just brilliant! :D

That Aronian game was a masterpiece!
"I'm not a rapper though" - Levy, being humble
That aronian game was so good. cxd3 is such a beautiful idea. I never would have thought of that.
Does everyone love Grischuk? I love Grischuk from what I haven't seen of him
*guy on youtube video says something*
Rando at home: "WHY YOU TALKING ABOUT MEEEEEEEEEEE"
Was Levon's move cxd3 at 17:45 computer prep? Or did he somehow come up with this plan at the table?
Grishuk said that he kinda overlooked getting his room trapped in the postgame interview.
0:07 lies we’ve all seen the danger levels rap
Nice Richter pronunciation! I love it when people who aren't raised on that sound do it
