Clash of clans is interesting because on the surface, it looks purely like a pay to win game, but one you get your base max (which everyone does at that top level fairly easily) it becomes a pure strategy game. Additionally, if you are good enough at taking advantage of metas, you can get up to those higher league ranks with MUCH lower level bases.
Actually a wrong take from atrioc here at 3:16:36, Clash has a wonderful community and everyone I talk to really respects that I am a Co-Leader of the “Beer and Crawfish” clan.. they understand the commitment it takes to lead a heavily active 45 person clan.. my girlfriend personally respected me more as a man when I showed her my 7 year old account. Atrioc doesn’t understand the power people give you when you have a wonderful CoC to look at.
A lot of people are talking about or investing in nuclear, but new nuclear is the most expensive energy per kwh, according to the June 2024 Lazard LCOE report. For a government not willing to put money towards the CHEAPEST forms of energy - wind and solar - its unlikely theyll actually put that money in the most expensive form.
running costs are much smaller, additionally since no companies are actively building reactors anymore (except a few) the supply chains set up to make these plants don’t experience the efficiencies of scale like solar is now experiencing
All the political talk around 1:20 in reminds me of the book Ender's Game subplot about how Ender's siblings took over the political world by posting. I always thought it was bullshit that two kids on Twitter could do anything worthwhile, but the argument A's making about Jimmy Beast made me do a full 180.
It's kind of ironic for atrioc to be saying what he said about coc trophies since he's known for the insane grind he does for some relatively irrelevant games like Hitman and AOE4 😂 Love the guy, just pointing out the irony

If we banned independent doctors and importing doctors, there wouldn't be a pool to get scammed from, and then the policy would create real scarcity to increase wages
"We used to give out no food packages, now we give out 3M a year!" We also imported over half a million people every year recorded there, so no shit sherlock.
Net migration has been about 300k pre pandemic, with 660k as a record year in 2023. Should also be important to note that those are also people on Work Visas, or International students. Furthermore, the percentage of Foreign born citizens is very inline with other countries. I think the initial statistics should’ve included Net Migration, but it’s pretty short sighted to say it’s all immigrants who need food packages rather than a worsening economy.
@@BlanekdCheque Net, replacing doctors with refugees isn't interchangeable my guy. Also an island being inline with large continental countries is also not like-for-like. When you bring in economic migrants then they need assistance, and when you bring in skilled labour, then people who could have been trained for those roles need assistance. Whichever way you want to cut it, it's a migration issue. We do not and have not had the space to have more people, and if you want to talk short-sightedness, it's short-sighted to bring in people you can't house to get an immediate bump to GDP instead of putting a few years in to making the people you can't get rid of (unskilled nationals) more productive. Migration feeds an endless treadmill while exacerbating chronic issues, it's not good anywhere, it's predatory at best and self-destructive at worst.
@@GuyMahoney I'm aware of Net Migration, it's what the Studies from the MAC uses, but fine, I'll use Immigration and Emigration Statistics as per The Migration Observatory from the University of Oxford. Health and Healthcare has been the highest Work Visa Growth, and the next Highest are students. Of which, Students contribute with their tuition and local labor, and Healthcare workers to make up for the brain drain isn't exactly low skill either. Refugee numbers also aren't exactly some massive contributor either, since it was one of the main talking points of Brexit was being able to control the borders and who immigrates. It's also important to note that a lot of said Emigration is from Students leaving, and Work Visas expiring, rather than being pure brain drain from Nationals leaving. Overall, it's shortsighted to call it "A Migration issue" when other countries across the world have been managing it just fine as a net Economic benefit. Saying that it's different because the UK is an island nation doesn't exactly hold up because the trend largely holds up across countries all over the globe. I do agree that it is incredibly short sighted to not address housing, and fixing the labour/education systems, but these are deep seated and chronic issues that need addressing that isn't solely confided to Migration. Austerity clearly isn't working, and is eroding quality of life, which has its own knock on effects everywhere else. There are some serious, dramatic issues with the UK and I think those need to be addressed, and that losing Immigrants would be a large economic net negative, but agree to disagree and all that. Just means that other countries get to reap the benefits. With Labour in power, we'll see how things go, but it'll be a shame if things continue to erode and lost out on immigration benefits all the while.
@@GuyMahoneyDoesn’t nhs have huge seat vacancies despite having a healthy Indian and Chinese diaspora in the nhs.How are the migrants causing a problem?Doesnt the nhs have toxic work conditions due the same vacancy?Sounds not like a migration issue to me,but a governmental development issue, making migrants the scapegoats just like time immemorial

As a German the whole nuclear thing makes me very mad. Not because there is no point in what he says, but in his argumentation completely ignoring the German situation. We had very low nuclear already and have a very high % of renewables thats evermore growing. Because of this we mostly need flexible power sources to fill the gap created by the fluctuation of these renewables, which nuclear cant. We shut down 3 plants that where giving 2% of our power that we didnt need. They where the most expensive energysouce too. Its just economicly stupid to run those or build more. We renewed some coal plants bcs of Russian gas going away, not the nuclear thing. Sorry for venting so hard, but maybe you understand my Frustration:)
