As a young player in Milwaukee, Ray Allen invented a drill in which he lies in the key, springs to his feet and backpedals to the corner. A coach throws him a pass. He has to catch and shoot without stepping on the three-point line or the sideline. In Ray's first training session with the Heat he performed the drill. He does it for offensive rebounding purposes. here was more than 5 seconds left on the clock, so no, it's not THE most clutch shot. One of the greatest I've seen though. If anything, Bosh probably had the most clutch rebound I've ever seen.
Ravixor I beg to differ. Ray Allen got possession of the ball with 7.5 seconds left and a WIDE OPEN LeBron in the middle of the court. Yet, he rises up and hits a CLUTCH three, even though he had enough time to dish it to LeBron and not having to run the risk of taking and potentially missing that three. The fact that he took the shot, even if he had other (even if just one) options, says how much that man loves the responsibility of such a tough situation and how much clutch that man has in him. Most guys would've made the pass. Ice water in his veins. #JesusShuttlesworth And yeah, that rebound by Bosh was clutch as hell too. Most important player on that team. #Boshtrich #Boshosaurus

And then they go on to win game 7. Beautiful.
He had to catch the ball, scoot behind the 3 pt line without looking down, get the shot off quickly with a couple Spurs flying at him, and drain the shot. All while knowing that his team and hall of famer teammates are counting on him to save the series. One of the greatest shots of all time.

What can you say about Ray Allen? He's cold blooded. He lives for shots like this. He officially retired today. We lost a legend
Man why you actin like that nigga died?
He’s not dead
He not dead tf
Bro hes alive lmao tf
Magnolia Trees in the Meadow he means we lost a legend from the game STOOPID
Everything about this play makes me think that Allen is my personal favourite shooter of all time:
- 100% clutch
- 100% difficult
- 100% exactly knowing where to be on the floor
Amazing instinct and insane skills to not only get the shot off but to swish it too!
Mine too
i swear i was the last person to recognize steph as the greatest ever because i love allen so much. i didn’t give in until steph broke the all time record at msg😂😂😂😂
Ray walked in this play, and the Spurs actually won this game. So, can't give 100 % on everything for Ray.
The most clutch shot in NBA history. Absolutely insane! This was also Mike Breen's greatest call of all time, no doubt about it.
"BLOCKED BY JAMES!!"?!
wrong. jordan won a title in 98 w his last shot as a bull
@@xerxes2044 not nearly as big as this shot
They do have a timeout. Decide not to use it!
@@TheMarti70 jordans shot literally won a championship and prevented a game 7 lol
I miss these moments, Mike just makes it so special with his commentating, and the heat and spurs with clutch moments,THANK GOD we are gonna have these moments again cuz of the warriors losing kd
Bingo
KDs bitch ass killed existence of competition for 2+ yrs being in his prime joining team that just had Gm 7 Finals lead
Bosh's jersey getting retired by the heat tonight, had to come back and watch this
here too
He reminds me of me,he's not quite as good as me though.

@@scimbrelo Me too. Best sports moment of my life!
@@scimbrelo it's burned in my memory 🍴
Seriously the most clutch shot in NBA history. Glad I was alive to see it.
here was more than 5 seconds left on the clock, so no, it's not THE most clutch shot. One of the greatest I've seen though.
If anything, Bosh probably had the most clutch rebound I've ever seen.
Ravixor Okay Buzz Killington, thanks for that. Ass
#JesusShuttlesworth
And yeah, that rebound by Bosh was clutch as hell too. Most important player on that team. #Boshtrich #Boshosaurus
“James catches, puts up a three, won’t go. Rebound Bosh. Back out to Allen, and a 3.”
the rest is history
It’s “back out to Allen , his 3 pointer.. BANG! TIED GAME WITH 5 SECONDS REMAINING

Greatest rebound, greatest assist and greatest shot in NBA history
@ko7577 It really is, though. No shot has saved a team’s season like this one, and to do it in the Finals is even better.
Thank you Ray Allen for what you did for us while on the Heat. We will forever be grateful. ❤️
Pretty sure he knows how revered he is in Miami, which is why he decided to make it his permanent home and coach the Gulliver boys' team 🥰
this was probably the most difficult and at the same time most clutch shot of all time
Yup
Yup
From highlights I remember I think a game winner or smth very close from the Bostong Garden in 70s or 80s
You are being biased towards Allen and I forgive you for the blasphemy that you spewed under this video.

Ray Allen is one of the definitions of greatness!!!
I remember seeing this live, truly will be a play that will be shown for generations.
Let's not ignore the fact that Lebron's brick set all of this up beautifully.
lmfaooooooo
lets not forget who scored the last 12 points before this for the heat to make the game so close.
@@Johndavidson4 it’s a joke calm down you bronsexual get so defensive over someone who doesn’t even know you 😂
@@Johndavidson4 he still can't hit the clutch shot to tie/win the game 🤷. Hes shoots 0/6 in the finals when his team is down 1-3 and needs a bucket to tie/take the lead with under 20 seconds.
@@Johndavidson4 bro no hate to lebron but those 12 points wouldnt have mattered if ray allen didnt hit that 3 or bosh didnt get the rebound. The spurs wouldve won
As much as people hated on them, these Heat teams were fun as hell to watch. I'd rather watch them than the Cavs or Warriors any day
+ERAProductionsinc ur nuts warriors are so fun to watch
+Oh My I never said they weren't fun to watch, because they are. But they're nothing like these Heat teams were
ERAProductionsinc Heat didn't play team ball like the warriors do, warriors average the highest assist rate in the nba. They average way more assist than the old heat did. If you like the heat better than you just don't like unselfish, good basketball.
+Oh My You should keep an eye on Spurs the team that everyone wants to be, if spurs would've never done ball movement no one would be doing it. Steve Kerr got this from spurs a former spur just like Hawks head coach uses the same system
J. Marq It aint about who does it first, its about who does it better...
I’m gonna remember this forever. I was like 10 watching this in the middle of the night on vacation in Florida. I literally fell to my knees trying to hold in my squealing while everyone was asleep lmao
"REBOUND BOSH, back to to Allen, his three-pointer, BANG!"
Tie game, with five seconds remaining! Spurs do not have a time out.
Douglas see if the spurs drafted Steph curry they could of had 5 secs left curry from way down down
Donnall Greene he woulda missed
History pointer**!! sounds better 😄
One of the best calls EVER
MJ's finals winning shot in Utah, Allen's finals saving 3 in Miami, Irving's final winning 3 in Cleveland. Idk about the order, but these 3 are the most clutch shots in NBA finals history.
Also the guy that did a buzzer beater and then they won the championship i think its Toronto raptors or something
@@luckybryner9121 Yeah Kawhi Leonard's shot was also insane, but that was two rounds before the Raptors won the Finals.
If you’re gonna talk MJ you gotta talk about Pax and Kerr cause they did the same thing Allen did

a ring he didnt deserve
a bench riding ass washup ring
Thats the saddest part about it.
+nuknuknuk111 now ray allen tryna do the same thing with the Warriors
Riley Rodgers yea i mean damn ray u already got two rings and the greatest three point shooter in history what more do you have to prove? Stop being greedy and retire
That release is magical. I can imagine how long Ray worked on those moves. Brilliant
He practice a drill non stop for this exact moment 😆😆 sports are a hell of thangg
Preparation meeting opportunity.
The best shot in NBA history
the most nostalgic moment in the nba to me
I love how when he says “his three pointer” he sounds like he’s losing hope and the games over, and then Allen nails it
I mean there would only be time for one more shot if Allen missed.
Coming back to this and watching this live as a little kid gives me chills man crazy time I'll always remember that call! Chills every time
As a Spurs fan this still hurts after 7 years, still a clutch af shot
This still give me chills
16 year old me rooting for the spurs was fucking devastated the first time i saw this
but today i gotta give props to this legend. what a spectacular all-time moment
I’ll never forget watching this live with my cousins who were all spurs fans and I was the only Heat fan. They cheered the whole game until this point. Where they all became quiet while I was on my feet cheering.
I have watched this play so many times. I fucking love it. The heat was fucked, LeBron went into overdrive mode, and then Ray Allen from a desperation bosh rebound, hits what I consider to be one of the most historically important and clutch shots of all time. And then they go on to win game 7. Beautiful.
overdrive mode hahaha exactly.
Honestly, that is the best shot in NBA history. Hands down.
He had to catch the ball, scoot behind the 3 pt line without looking down, get the shot off quickly with a couple Spurs flying at him, and drain the shot. All while knowing that his team and hall of famer teammates are counting on him to save the series. One of the greatest shots of all time.
Now that’s pressure
Best play I’ve ever witnessed live
Ray Allen prevented Duncan from going 6-0 in the finals
Outstanding 🐐
Ray Allen is a great player himself though.
Bosh did.
I'm a Spurs fan but i don't see them going as hard in 2014 without that loss, it really lit them on fire
I remember giving up when the clock was going down and said fuck it and was about to change the channel then when ray dropped that 3 i was in disbelief lmao
Man Watching this live was crazy spurs had all the momentum, the heat fans were leaving and lebron had two key turnovers. Spurs really blew it big time smh
I turned offe the tv before the king started the comeback, i woke up the other day and i saw the OT win and wondered how TF that happened, later i saw that shot on RUclips
You were gonna turn it off during a one possession game? I'd understand down by 10 with 17 seconds, but damn.
Yess I was thinking the same thing im like well Miami we tried fuck it then he hits that 3 i didn't yell but was in awe

Boy the heat superteam was cheating.. I was bout your age and we were justified in that feeling because the 2nd best player in the world teamed up with 2 other top 10 or Top 12 guys . Even then tho this shot was incredible and never was hated on. It was talked about for years. Made me hit the floor while my lil brother was screaming for Lebron😂😂😂 never forgetting that day

Okinawa, Japan. Watching the game with my fellow Marines. Everyone was against Miami. When Ray Allen hit the shot I fell to the floor. Easily the clutchest shit from a Miami Heat player.

What a shot. Saved this series and let Miami become the only team to ever beat this Spurs dynasty in an NBA finals a feat that is underrated in my opinion. Yeah the Spurs would get revenge next season but man did Ray Allen hit one of the most clutch 3's in NBA history and saved this series. That Bosh rebound was crucial also and underrated.
