    Anton doesn’t like to shred, but he said that when he speeds up, his hand is going more loose, not tensed. That’s why he shreds, just to take a rest:p

    Really appreciate Anton’s focus primarily on music and music creation and that speed & precise technique is sometimes needed to serve the music with the freedom and capability of a highly practiced musician.

    I knew about Anton since like 2008 or 2009, insanely good guitar player. His brother Alex Oparin who is a very gifted bassist and I used to attend the Musicians Institute.

    Awesome interview. Anton is absolutely amazing and really able to go into great detail on the technical aspects of guitar playing.
    I’m currently in the academy trying to rebuild my string switching technique. (Not easy😂)

    Is it forbidden to talk about pickslanting with Anton?😉 It's Hard for Me to Believe Somebody Who is not talking about pickslanting in there lesson When It Comes to speed picking. Is there an explanation??

    • @justin.hombach
      @justin.hombach  Месяц назад +2

      He is doing pickslanting, he is just not naming it like this :)

    • @AntonOparinENG
      @AntonOparinENG Месяц назад +6

      I don't call it pickslanting because when people hear "pickslanting" they understand it like if I was doing something the same way as someone who used that exact term in the internet before, which is totally not true, cause my approach is different, which is why I don't use that term to not confuse people's minds

    • @hermankarels
      @hermankarels Месяц назад

      @AntonOparinENG Okay, thank you very much for your explanation. But I'm still a bit confused, because the technique/pickslanting is not mentioned. I now know why :) but for someone like me who has been learning pickslanting for the last 2 years and is finally moving in the right direction after 4 years of frustrated practice when it comes to playing fast.. but if I may ask. when somebody use your approach en techniek and everything, and doesn't do the Escape Movement;) and the awareness of It will he be okay??
      I mention this Because I am considering to do the right hand part on your website because I'm still not satisfied with my Right hand
      All the best ❤️

    I respect Mr. Oparin as a player, and he has some interesting insights. But at the end of the day, I’m simply not going to accept his “universal technique” hypothesis until he goes under the Magnet a la Troy Grady. He is willing to use Grady’s camera angles to viciously criticise greats such as MAB, but in his 2 hour video and sequel he never gave such an angle to himself. How do I know he isn’t hitting strings on changes? How do I know he isn’t using mixed motions and escapes as opposed to a “universal” technique?

  • @Slears
    @Slears Месяц назад

    Anton is the abolute GOAT when we talk about technical guitar..no doubt, but I think the Problem with Mr. Oparin is, that he completly misses the point what making music and playing an Instrument really is. He degrades palying guitar just to a level of technical perfection...this is somehow BS. I mean he mocks Marty Friedman "hihi..hoho lol..with this technique you can not play fast and clean..this is shit..hahaha"...but come on..Marty wrote and played the solo to Tornado of souls and many many other great musical pieces...nobody cares about Martys hand synchronisation..NOBODY
