Nice to see someone who can really back up their shred “teaching” with tight playing, you’re right up their with the best of them when it comes to this stuff
but Fig.2 at 4:24 actually shows that flexion/extension is faster than ulnar/radial deviation... eg. max speed of flexion - "from East target to Center" - 40 cm/s. Max speeds of ulnar/radial deviation ("from North/South to Center") are 30 and 25 cm/s. The quote below refers specifically to the use of a spoon - and this pattern of movements is of little use to playing the guitar

My Tipp for Hand-Synch issues: 1. Find out our weaker hand in that scenario. Which hand is slower. 2. Be consistent in your movement. Hand Synch Problems often roots in your brain trying to calculate different movements all the time. For example on that tempo your pinky is 2mm away from the fretboard on another one 1.5 mm.. these two different distances are hard for our brain to calculate. 3. work on the weaker hand individually 4. find the tempo where you are locked in and then increase it slowly

I’ll get on that bcs my speed picking sucks ❤
😂😂😂 Seit wann tümmelst du dich denn hier herum?

Thank you :)
I give my best, even tho there is still a lot to do… but this is why I‘m loving this so much ☺️☺️
I concur. I've been watching recently and I see you giving solid instruction and information
I've heard from great drummers "practice with a mirror", so it's really a great tip.
I think after Troy, Justin might be the guy who delve more deeper into picking techniques
Thank you very much, that is an honor :)
Here for the Tipps
At the end of day we all want that Anton oparin , spyro styled picking.
For me a bit more the Anton style :D
Or both… but that sounds like a lot of work 😅
I improved drastically, isolating the picking hand and looking at a mirror from the side. Troy Grady's camera angle down the fretboard inspired me,

Why won't you tell them the real secret. It's that Dimarzio neck pickup. :p
Hey, I still have to sell them thoses masterclasses you know? 🤫😉

Hey Justin, i imagine these tips/techniques are included within your Zen of Speedpicking course?
Yes it is part of the big course, with more exercises, licks and helpful tips :)

Get the new shred Mirror together with THE ZEN OF SPEEDPICKING :)

Ultimate guitar app has a metronome sound that doesn’t pierce my eardrums. I don’t even use it for tabs, just the metronome
troy coined the term pickslanting, he did not invent it
Didn‘t know that, I mean 80% of all guitarist probably know this term because of him 😅
Me too
Who invented it?
@@NeuroApathy no one, people have been "pick slanting" since the 50s

Great as always Justin, question for you, have you ever tried some death metal like suffocation?
