Hi there, please follow the steps found here: support.tandemdiabetes.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500011475961-How-do-I-start-and-stop-a-Dexcom-G6-CGM-sensor-session- to start and stop a sensor session. Once you have started a sensor session on your t:slim X2 pump, your BG graph and current number will appear on the screen.
Hi Ryan. We know ill-timed alerts can be very inconvenient. Pump sound volume is set to high, but can be personalized for Alarms, Alerts, Reminders, Keypad, Bolus, Quick Bolus, and Fill Tubing. Options for volume include high, Medium, Low, and Vibrate. This can be changed in Pump Volume in Pump Settings. As a precaution, do not use the vibration feature for alerts and alarms during sleep unless otherwise directed by your healthcare provider. Having the volume for alerts and alarms set to high will help ensure that you don't miss an alarm or alert. If you are interested in learning more about your options with common alarms and alerts, please check out our blog post here: www.tandemdiabetes.com/blog/post/general/2018/03/10/romancing-the-tone-taking-control-of-the-beep. And remember, if you have any questions about the alarms and alerts you experience most, our tech support team is here for you 24/7. Please call 1-877-801-6901, option 1, anytime to ask them about your pump features.
@@tandemdiabetes Did you even read his comment? His problem is that the pump's volume is too high and your solution is to have him set it to the highest setting possible? That is not helpful in the slightest! Even this pump's lowest volume setting is still blaring loud compared to other insulin pumps. No wonder he broke it out of frustration, I would be tempted to do the same.
Hi Ryan. As you can see, Tandem's suggestion is to set the volume even higher, which obviously doesn't help your problem in the slightest. And you're absolutely right: the X2 is *way* too loud even at its lowest setting. To *actually* make your pump be quiet, fold a decent length of parafilm over on itself about 3 times or get a small, slender chuck of paraffin wax. Get it warm (not melty) and then place it over the speakers located on your pump and fit it snug against the groove of the pump clip so that it's not sticking out awkwardly. A decent sized piece will muffle the speakers quite nicely. If your pump gives you altitude alarms, just remove the wax and cartridge, wait for the pump to readjust, and then replace them once it's happy. It's that easy. Tandem might tell you not to do this, but it's your pump, your body and your health. It's not their choice to make.
I was contacted by 2 people regarding a new pump, Spencer Lamb & Wesley Royce Santos. After 2 months and sending my insurance & glucose info, and being asked if I'd sent it (?), I’m being ghosted. My calls, emails, texts not returned. This is how you treat people with serious health concerns? This was before our national health crisis; it could have already been finished and I wouldn't have had mounting concerns about my already compromised immune system.

My screen looks different the 1 2 3 appear in small rectangles at the bottom of the screen, not in big circles as shown here, also the big T does nothing when I touch it, why is that?
Hi Elizabeth. You may have a newer software in your pump than the one shown here. This helps to explain the appearance of the "1-2-3" sequence. As for the "T" issue your bring up, can you please confirm if after you select "Options" then select the "T," that this does not bring you back to the Home Screen? If you are on the Home Screen and select the "T," no action will be performed.
I accidentaly changed my language when the language options popped up after running out of battery. Where do I change back? I am not able to find the language options
Thanks for the question! The language setting is not a customizable in the t:slim x2 insulin pump users located in the United States. The language setting will be programmed to display in English by default. If you have any questions about this, please send us an email at TandemCares@TandemDiabetes.com.
@@tandemdiabetes Yeah, the language setting is a incredibly stupid thing to cut out. I had to unplug my pump from the charger and wait for it to run out of battery again before I could pick language again. Please bring this forward to the people who are programming your pumps, cause it's such a important setting, and so idiotic that it can't be changed unless you're willing to live with the wrong language for however long it takes for the pump to run out of battery again, which could cause huge confusion about how to navigate through the pump, something I'd argue is quite important..
@@VENO5407 We apologize for any confusion. If you are located outside of the United States, the Language Selection screen displays when you unlock the pump screen for the first time, or when you unlock the screen after turning the pump off. Whatever you do disconnect your pump when you exercise. My pump keeps giving me unnecessary insulin and bringing me low when I go for long walks. I put it in exercise mode but it doesn’t help. Control IQ is ok if you are sitting on your butt, but not if you are actually living your life.
We appreciate you letting us know about your experience. We take these matters seriously and would like to ensure these details get escalated to our Technical Support team for further addressing. Please give us a call at 1-877-801-6901, or send us a message at TandemCares@TandemDiabetes.com for further assistance.
worst tech support ever 4 and 6 hour wait to get a call back. if you have a 4 to 6 hr wait to call back you best be doing some hiring i so flipping wish i would have known, i wouldnt have gotten this companies product
Soo many people are so quick to throw in the towel and complain instead of putting in the time and work and solving the issues. Also I think a lot of people came in with unrealistic expectations like control IQ is a cure and will no longer have to put in any work... I do dream of a time when there is a cure unfortunately we’re not quite there yet. But control IQ is a step in the rite direction
We're disappointed about your experience Maureen. We will be sure to have a member from our team contact you directly to assure that everything is functioning properly.
How do I show my blood levels on the screen of my insulin pump so it can monitor my glucose levels while I’m asleep ?

I need a tutorial on how to remove the speaker on this pump. It has caused me to embed my knee into the pump and destroy it.
