    Thank you. That was so much easier than trying to read through all the guides to reset up my pump.

    Great video, thank you! Just received my T-Slim pump yesterday. After using a Medtronic Pump for 18 years, I'm making the switch and am so excited.

    Great video--thanks for sharing. It is incredibly helpful for new diabetics and even non-diabetics to learn how the set up process works!

    I liked you video, thank you. I am soon to receive this same new pump and will be transferring all my data from a Medtronic 670G pump. I was particularly interested in your review of the alarms on the tandem. Having used a CGM for 12 years now, all while using a Medtronic pump, I am “alarm fatigued” to say the least. I look forward to minimizing alarms. Thank you again for posting and walking thru the set up. Helpful.

    Why if the Tslim works with the Dexacom, rather than carrying around the Dexcon RX just have the alerts from the TSlim?
    I have the Medtronic 770g. Looking at switching. Just because. Never had a problem with Medtronic pumps.

    If your bg is high and control-iq is not lowering it enough, do you ever enter “fake” carbs that you didn’t actually eat or is there a better way?

    • @FTFWARRIOR
      @FTFWARRIOR  3 года назад

      There's definitely "options" that I teach... but those are in our program since I can't recommend off label use in a public setting. I hope you can understand

    I’m a new user for this insulting pump, I just want to know if I have to do anything before taking off to shower? Do I have to turn it off while I shower or just take it off?

    • @FTFWARRIOR
      @FTFWARRIOR  3 года назад +1

      That's a personal preference, though I usually pause insulin delivery since I'm not connected when it's off. Hopefully that makes sense

    I'm using the medtronic 530g and it's so easy, but I got an upgrad to Tandem x2 supper excited and a bit nervous. When you first got on this pump did it seem difficult to figure out? Is it now no big deal once you have it all figured out? I'm waiting on a training date so Mines still in the box.

      I have the G4 version and at first it took me forever to reload it, but I pretty quickly got the hang of it. Now I can get up and do it in the middle of the night w/o my glasses on! I'm hoping the X2 is the same. It just came in and I'm hoping I can skip training....

      I love love Omnipod..the freedom of tubes is the best BUT I'm moving to Tandem because my health and control of my BS should be better with Tandem and their close loop. Omnipod keeps promising it and they haven't delivered. They are close but nothimg new I haven't heard. My choice would be to stay with Omnipod if I was 100% certain it's coming out FOR SURE on a certain date

    Hello! I'm actually getting a t:slim x2 as my first ever pump. I've been a t1d for 17 years but I've always used vials and syringes. Do you have any tips for a first time pump user?

    need to shut off ALL AUDIBLE alarms. ALL. It is going to cost me my job because coworkers and customers panic. It is going to cause a car accident obnoxiously frequent alarms driving. Tandem is building devices with no knowledge of the amount of time it take for oral sugar to rise blood glucose? absolutely no idea? Pump alarms loud over and over, 10 times, in the amount of time it takes blood glucose to rise? We need to get together with a class action law suit for negligence. I even got thrown out of church for "An electronic device not alarm not turned off. How many people have died taking their seatbelt off and drive into bridge abutments trying to shut the screaming alarm off?
    Is there a hack, or schematic of pump so I know where to drill a hole to hit the specker and destroy it? It's actually alarmed 6 times right now, because they are too ignorant to know how long it takes insulin to bring down a sugar. Thats negligence.
    Need a link to a schematic on where to drill a hole or how to crack case open to get to that speaker and rip out.

    How do you turn off the alerts I dont want to be walking around sounding like R2D2 at work?

    • @FTFWARRIOR
      @FTFWARRIOR  5 месяцев назад

      Control IQ alerts (like the high and low alerts) can't be changed, but you can change the CGM alerts in the phone (which I do)
