Watching this a year after you posted it. I recently came across your channel. Very sorry to hear about you cat. Rainbow Bridge-I expect to see my pets waiting for me. Dresses-I love a dress with pockets, especially side seam pockets! I do a little modification of the pocket, turning the dress inside out, I pick one pocket to make a horizontal slit just wide enough to slip in the pump, near the top of the pocket. I reinforce the slit with either thread just to finish the edges, or seam binding, or I iron on a patch and slit that too. I use the longest tubing for the best option to reach the slit and go into the pocket. When the dress is on, nothing is visible and I can access the pump resting in the pocket. I’ve been doing this with the Medtronic brick. It will be so much better with the t:slim. Can’t wait to get the new pump. Wait now to be notified of a shipping date. Back to the video--
A good video. A couple of additions if I may: 1) Tandem does offer other clips. With the one you are using I had trouble at night with it slipping off waistband of my underwear and a time or two pulled out the infusion set (frustrating in the middle of the night to change). I have a spring loaded belt style clip I got from Tandem and it secures the pump really well. However it is not as sleek or slim as your clip. 2) Touching the chart portion of the screen will expand the chart to full screen which offers a bit more detail. An icon that will restore it to the default setting. 3) When my body is stressed, like when I have a cold or flu bug I need more basal and meal bolus rates. I have two additional personal profiles: One for just feeling under the weather and the other for not feeling good at all. Assists in not having to be so diligent in monitoring. A bonus I just came across this past week. I had an infusion set go wonky on me. Blood sugars going into the 200+ range and dumping insulin through the pump would not bring it down. Pump said I had a lot of insulin on board which in "theory" I did. I changed the infusion set and went to my really ill profile which increased the basal rate. In 20 minutes by glucose started to come back down. Switched to my normal profile when I got back into range. And finally, in defense to Tandem's algorithmn of 110, I believe a lower setting, 90 to 100 as you mentioned, does not give the algorithm enough time to shut down the basal rate before one could go low. As you mentioned you rely on Control IQ all day when working so knowing it can safely do its job without babysitting it is a plus.
Thank you so much for this video. I'm just a few days from switching to T-slim from Medtronic. I'm visually impaired, so the close-ups are very helpful. This video was much more detailed than the trainer-by-Zoom training I had.

I use a different pump but thanks for sharing your pump with us. It's good to keep an eye on what's out there.
