Yes, it's a bit of both. I took a screenshot in Fallout 4 and used a simple skycard which represents the most distant scenery. In front of that I use many similar looking foliage models, and with a good amount of lighting it blends in with the background. I also had to retexture the original map brushes. This works well if the camera is relatively still.
Depends on the Deathclaw. Even at level 80, a Mythic Deathclaw can kill you in one or two hits (depending on the difficulty) and even with power armor, you may be able to survive another hit or so.
This should be longer. When he get's back out to the entrance it should show him step on a branch or something and all of them wake up, then cut to a scene of him screaming as he runs past the camera heh.
