i love how no matter who he could animate its always Jerma
It's not real, stop saying that name, wake up.
@vloqy Every time you think about him, he slowly materializes into this world
MR GREEN IS INVINCIBLE
As he should.
@@vloqyif you say it thrice he might appear
Yeah, well, I learned SFM in 6days and 23 hours
God you're so fucking cool! H-how do I become like you?
Teach me master
Nuh uh! I learned it in 6 days and 22 hours!
Oh yeah I learnt SMF in 6 days and 22hours 59 minutes and 12 seconds
@@bigsmoke4385NO SIR, I learned it in 6 days 21 hours 59 minutes AND 59 seconds!
well i learned sfm in 3 easy steps
i can't believe corax is dead but before he died and became a cave skeleton he promised i could have all his stuff this is so sad thanks corax im so upset by this
so true burd
This is so sad. Hey tf2, !rtd
Fake Corax Fan he would never give his earthly possessions to a bird of any caliber.
oh look its berd
Berd.
damn this is so neat
omg the real badge
THE REAL BADGER! CAN I HAVE A AUTOGRAPH!?
holy sheat of paper its him
nice
Damn he went unnoticed probably because he doesn't have a verified icon for some reason
I have over 1,000 + hours in sfm, it’s wasted so many hours of my life.
The fact you went practically backwards from blender to sfm, is actually painful for me to process in my brain.
same
i haven't even tried animating in it i just make posters
imagine using sfm first
@@cyonu5675that's what many do wdym, it's a old software meaning many people started on there before making on their own full fleshed animations on a more professional software. There is no shame in having this used first before switching to another software like blender. And before it comes to a debate no I never used either of those softwares and won't be planning to in the future simply put because I like doing 2d animations myself
@@UnkownWonders just for the record sfm was made public in 2012 while blender was made public in 1994 lmao sfm is much more “simple” yet complex at the same time they do different things, sfm is a game engine based animation software with a large modding community while blender is a 3D/2D modeling software and animation software also for the record companies like Disney have started using blender for 2D purposes so you can still use blender as it’s 2D section is amazing also also it was a joke lmao lighten up
You know eltorro64rus' GMOD animations are something special when people mistake them for SFM animation
Doesn't he use mixture of sfm and gmod, I'm pretty sure he did
@@SuperTroll2003no, STblackST does. Eltorro64rus genuinely uses 100% gmod.
Just like all other animation platforms it offers some really unique tools, but because its Source it is very buggy and outdated, carried by custom plugins and community content. There is just some stuff you can do in GMod that you can't do anywhere else, more options means artists can better express their art, even if the tools are rusty.
@@SuperTroll2003Nope, Eltorro is all Gmod
@@LordVader1094 And the effort he puts in is genuinely insane, last time he put out a tutorial he spent like a full minute doing things which actual animating software can do in 2 clicks
YOOOO THANK YOU FOR THE SHOUTOUT
Side note, this was a very lovely and fun way to introduce the many peculiarities of SFM and put them to use!
I could say a lot about my love-hate relationship with the program but I am extremely grateful that it has helped me get this far and achieve my dream job.
My hope is also to make my future youtube content primarily using blender, perhaps I should follow your example to learn as efficiently as you have with source!
Big respect for giving yourself this challenge and being open to new experiences, the community absolutely welcomes you.
The man
The woman
The legend! Saw the furry clip & wondered if you were still around. Cool!
I haven't seen you for so long! Will you ever upload an animation?
Randomly saw you down here in the comments, hope whatever program you use now causes less random lighting glitches :b

the most talented animators of all time choosing to use the most unusable software to animate with has very quickly become a trope for the art industry
Thanks for checking out our small but dedicated community! SFM for a lot of us (me especially) was a huge starting point for entering the world of 3d animation and movie-making in general. While many old-timers have since moved on to become real professionals, some of us still stick around and use it to animate as our program of choice. I probably could have transitioned to Blender 5 years ago, but to this day I still regularly use and love the original SFM for it's speed and amazing animation tools (... for a free program!)
Hi John Interloper.
Oh shit is that Interloper dev 😲!! In all seriousness though, nice to see you here. I do hope you do eventually release more SFM tips since I really liked those, though I understand if you just wanna focus on Interloper for a while.
Interloper type 5 demo T pose heavy
Hey look is the umbrella fella
Most intuitive 3d animation program to date
I would have never guessed your personality would be as chill and soothing given your profile pic and content.
same, he really does have that grandpa personality, really fits his character
Fr. The artstyle reminds me of hotdiggedydemon.
The scariest of people always turn out to be the most chill

It was the opposite for me going from SFM to Blender so imagining learning it backwards is wild to me. Happy to hear it went well for you and you enjoyed your time with it :)
Not.. "that" redmoa can it? If so. You do great work with your animations!
Great new grounds animations!
7:50 i love how jerma, can literally make ANY voice, and also that ding was so smooth.
Appreciate you trying a new video format. I've loved every one of your animations and different animation styles. Keep up the good work!
get back in your cage

as a fellow SFM animator, I welcome you
Love the Corax character design and the continuity between the 2D and 3D version. The voice matches in well too!
I'm so sorry you had to suffer through this and I sincerely hope they invent the counseling required to get you through this traumatic experience, we all are.
Corax slowly becoming one of the best channels for me. Loved this longer form video. Can’t wait to see more
Love the way you explain your learning method. Thanks for letting us know about how tough learning SFM was.
I can't believe you've been keeping such a satisfying voice and avatar from us this whole time! I'd watch a full-length TV episode of this.
I really like the way you animated her expression in at 7:29 - really feels like a good old school sfm! Great work! Nothing beats your original style but I would definitely love to see more of this!
SFM and even GMOD animations have a charm to it that will always bring a great amount of joy to me.
Amazing that you learned and learned and put out a proper animation in such a short time frame! Goes to show your how good your talents are! ^.^
Hello friend!
Your Learned SFM? I'm so sorry for your loss.
Thoughts and prayers 🙏🙏
I love in no matter what situation he’s in. Jerma will always be silly and whimsical. This was really cool and honestly a really good way to develop a standard work ethic. I’m gonna try it out soon. THANKS CORAX
Well, I love your SFM animation. It has it’s stile and pretty charming.
With a new medium at their disposal, Corax grows ever more powerful
This video is incredibly well made and paced
And that Jerma model is cursed
Just whatever you do, DON'T try and point a laser from the wrangler !!
Why
3:27 I love how this looks like an old school Lazypurple animation.
It's funny saying that, as if Lazy animated for years or something. Like, if you rewatch the How it Feels series, you notice that a lot of his SFM starts off relatively basic.
It looks REALLY good from start to finish, but Lazy was trying to figure out SFM just like anyone else would. This is even evident in his behind the scenes videos. His animations got exponentially better with time, as he slowly learned to relinquish his sanity more and more for it (which, thankfully, he has begun to address, and everyone is accepting and encouraging of him)
Let me get back on track. Essentially, the way Lazy might have begun animating with SFM must have been similar to this experience Corax had. Granted, they're both in different leagues, even now.
It's crazy to think how similar their thought processes must have been. You record gameplay footage, and transition from one frame of gameplay, to one of custom animation rigging. A sort of cinematic smoke and mirrors kinda thing.
You could call this timestamp "How it Feels to use SFM for the first time"
- guy who has only seen lazy purple
What took me days -> perhaps weeks or months to learn SFM you managed so fast, now I'm on my way to learning Blender. Neat to see a long video from you though your narration and editing is way too satisfying.
Even when S2FM becomes more available the original SFM will always have that nice nostalgic charm, and hopefully it'll carry over to the source 2 one as well!
Time to make tf2 memes
Enjoy that your first.
Why does Corax sound literally EXACTLY like I'd imagine him to just from his profile picture 😭😭 it's perfect 🤌🏻
Never would I have thought someone like Corax would ever touch SFM. Your animation style is superb as it is. I been using this thing for 11000+ hours. 💀Really great results for one week of animating!
You know what? I'm taking this as a sign to retry it again. I remember being in the literal same boat, but now i feel pretty good, I'll give it a shot and see if I can do something close to, if not similar to what you did! Here's hoping it works out okay!
Dude why are you so fucking cool?
I know it'd be algorithmic death (most people aren't animators) so I'm not asking, but I want you to know that a Blender tutorial by you would be glorious - you have such a cool style. I've been meaning to learn it for years to augment my 2D stuff and this video definitely just inspired me to finally take a crack at it. If you can learn SFM in a week then I can get the basics of Blender in a month damn it! 😤
I love how smooth and expressive your animation is no matter the program
I would absolutely love to see Source Filmmaker 2 made more accessible to animators. Thank you for the video.
As someone who doesn't know how SFM works, I commend you on being able to learn it in a week.
I’d love to see longer videos like this, shit goes hard
As a relative beginner to 3D art as whole I respect the good work that SFM has done for getting people into the medium, but I do really think blender is a significant set up. Aside from it being the more modern program, I want to do every part of the process, and blender simply can.
4:09 as a person still learning sfm I'm suprised you made something like this its so smooth (and yes i know your not new to animating but still)
the power of animation is truly terrifying...also that scout jerma is slightly disturbing
which makes it perfect, such amazing skill
1:31 HOLY MOLY I LOVE UNI SO MUCH!!!! VERY BASED WALLPAPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6:40 This is my favorite part
You have a really nice voice, and a way of displaying and explaining your thoughts. Thanks for making this for us to enjoy.
Story time mixed with learning? Woo! Glad that Ceno0 helped you gain some info c:
how can this man make something better than i ever have in just 2 days of learning
Absolutely loved this, Corax!! SFM is an amazing tool for virtual filmmaking and I'm super happy to see you give it a shot, particularly considering your 2D animation background. I started with SFM and made the majority of my videos in it until I switched over to Blender a year ago but I still go back to SFM occasionally due to just how fun and fast it is to animate in! Thanks for sharing your experience!! 💖
This was really good, it’s cool to see you stepping outside of your comfort zone and trying something new and cool. Hope you plan to do this again and possibly give yourself more time!
WHY IS THIS TALENTED MAN BOTH CREEPY LOOKING AND ADORABLE AT THE SAME TIME!!!???
On a serious note this is my experience with just about every new thing I try, especially the Hubris part
I love these animations!
8:26
Correction Eltorro64rus actually uses gmod and not sfm
ruclips.net/video/1DFOjr399Pk/видео.htmlfeature=shared
I don't usually stick around for long when short video animators make full length videos, but I really enjoyed this one.
9:21 I legit would not be surprised if (at least officially) S2FM never comes out, and we'll have to use it in unofficial ways like with HLA, or S&box (GMOD's spiritual successor by Garry Newman, tho it's more like a game platform like roblox than GMOD)
As a former SFM pro, there are some things I wish Blender had from it.
High quality production all around! I really like the direction in which the channel is going (and growing) with different levels of creative content and commentary. This is awesome!
watching your videos with you speaking is so soothing added with perfect humor and very entertaining content, LOVING IT!
not only are you talented at drawing and have a great sense of pacing and writing, but you have a rich and cool voice. thanks for doing what you do and sharing with the world!
your animations ALWAYS blow me away, dude, and your commentary here is so calming and entertaining. you really are something special to this community, and i’m so happy that you share your creations with the world :] keep on rocking!
This was such a great start to new content for your channel, I love the animations just as much as I love this video, thank you for sharing your skill
This was excellent!! Love your animation style, and it's really inspiring seeing you tackle something like this even with the time crunch. good shit
0:17 that engineer’s a spy.
No way, another corax banger
Man this was really entertaining. The way you explain things along with the animations that occasionally go along side them are really fun watch. Good work!
I like the detail (whether intentional or not) at around 0:53 the beginning is drawn as 2d yet when he says "fast foward to the future" the rest of video becomes 3d animated
2:09
You said "Pretty Good" and I had a flashback of your Grimace Shake Video xD
This was really well made!
I really liked this video! It was really fun to watch and I enjoyed listening to your process
I absolutely love this video’s format! I’d be absolutely ecstatic to see more stuff like this in the future you talented person you!
I m confused u had patience for 2d animation, but not sfm
You not just learned, but almost mastered it, wich is very impressive, especially considered the fact how stubborn SFM can be.
Loved this style of video, not only were you animating in sfm for the first time, you documented it, AND animated the some of the sections inbetween! that's some crazy amount of effort and dedication, hats off to ya!!
I loved seeing this type of video, your animations are amazing and this was just as fun watching another thing that you do
7:57 guys should i call this number?
4:09 Mano vocÊ fez um trabalho muito incrível! :D
Acho que vou tentar aprender SFM :)
I really like this kind of video from you Corax, hope to see more!
This video genuinely motivated me to learn source filmmaker, I’ve tried before but this time I actually went all the way, I’m still not fully familiar with the program but I’m getting there, thank you

@@MikkzNodesIt’s a… interesting program…
Great job on this video and the animation, both are so well done
I was overjoyed to see this & your SFM animation pop up in my notifs!
As someone who never got into TF2 when it first came out but is now really wanting to play & also learn SFM, this was a fun watch!
The Spy "No Bitches" clip killed me. Short & sweet.
Amazing video as always, keep up the awesome work!
I love this format!!! You should totally do more of these!!
I really loved this video. It's fascinating to see a peek behind the scenes of what you're working on
amazing video, really loved the animated cutaways, that's a lot of effort
Man i hope you do more stuff like this, i really enjoyed this
Corax has the voice of a narrator that turns out to be the final boss wizard, who was watching the hero the whole time
I like this new form of video, Its fun to watch you experiment with new styles!
This was a really interesting view into the experience. Great work
What an awesome video! Thanks for takin the time. Your personality (or whatever that is making you say and do as you do) is very appealing, cozy and funny!
I think you did a super good job choosing the video to make in the end, by the way.
I love this behind-the-curtain sort of vlog-educational hybrid content so much!! Keep up the amazing work Corax.
Loved this style of video. You captured what is great about your work in this!
this was such a blast to watch, thank you for making this and i hope we get to see more of the occasional long-form video from you :)
this was amazing, i love it, thank you for making this formal of video recording!
your voice resonates in such a nice way! Id love to see more long form stuff like this from you
Make more of these. Been a big fan of you since your early animations and I'd love to see your presentation style and flavor talking about games/shows that mean a lot to you. Keep it up, man!
lovin this long form content, keep it up
That single "OP" is one of the funniest things I've ever seen in a yt video
This video was so good. I would love to see more content similar to this in the future, even though I originally subbed for Jerma animations.
Really like this style of video. Thanks for putting in the effort to make even more incredibly entertaining.
This is my first commentary video of yours and I couldn't be more pleasantly surprised! You're a really captivating talker and an even better commenter, and I'm definitely gonna check out more
You are the first animation youtuber, who uses comical and hyperbolic character as your avatar, and not some handsome, anime-like or cute generic guy. Gotta respect you only for that. Btw your content very entertaining
