  • Here's DEICIDE performing at the International II in Manchester on the 16th of December 1992. They were late on stage due to bomb scare evacuation earlier during the gig.

    I was at this gig, I remember the bomb scare, Atrocity were playing and the gig got pulled and everyone evacuated, after the bomb squad had been we went in,I think Atrocity finished then Cancer played as well, Deicide must've finished about half 2-3 in the morning, what a night.

      Yeah I filmed outside for about an hour, interviewing the promoters and mates and getting all the action as the police vans turned up. Remember getting home about 4 ish and going straight to work haha. Those were the days !

      @@Oldskoolmetalvids I had turned 18 the week before, got in about a similar time, I remember reading about the Sweden bomb scare, I was skint that night as well, I wish I'd got some merch, Cancer were awesome as well, did you film them ?

    This was my first ever gig and I never got to see anything more after the evacuation (my lift back to cumbria found me in the crowd outside at the time i said it would be finished and i had to fuck off home, Ive sulked about it ever since( I was 17 at the time ,now 45)... until tonight when i found this video...!
    Thank you for sharing, I still have the CANCER Death Shall Rise US Tour 1992 shirt i got from the stall that night,
    Atrocity were class, just wish i could have seen the full line up...... memorable night.

      Only have footage of the gig itself - I think the version I have also has their show in Edinburgh from the first UK Tour on it as well.

      My mate filmed that Edinburgh footage. Funnily enough, he was stood next to me at the Manchester gig watching out for any security that were lurking ! 😉

    I was at this gig! They stopped Atrocity part way through their set. We had to wait outside for ages because of the bomb scare and it was fucking freezing!!! 😂

      Tony Condliffe yea I was there to it was freezing that night turned out to be a brick 🧱 wrapped in paper I seen my arse good style as I was more into atrocity than diecide at the time but hell of a gig tho 👍🤘

    I was there. One lad made a bandana out of a piece of the Police 'Do not cross' ribbon - looked good actually! The chippy at the back of the venue had to shut for a while to cut more chips as we totally sold them out there was that many of us. We were outside for about an hour at least....

    Remember this night well had a bomb scare half way through atrocity playing seen my arse good style as I was more into atrocity than deicide at time but apart from standing in freezing 🥶 weather till we got let back in was still brilliant night 🤘👍

      @@shredfactor7 One of the best concerts I've ever seen. I saw them live in New York Brooklyn Lamours the capital of metal back in the 90s. Glen Benton was a live fuse full of rage and energy... the whole concert was just evil 😈 and the fans were evil 😈 as well...just crazy times ⏲️ I've seen deicide at least 20x in my life...I used to a death metal tape trader back in 1988

    i was super drunk at this show crazy how long we had to wait outside when the bomb scare went off hahaha i was also at the london show pretty quiet and eventful at the astoria..... manchester was more memorable. thanks for uploading...

    HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING GLEN OUTSIDE BRADFORD RIOS FOR SERPENTS OF THE LIGHT TOUR..BRILLIANT. THE GUY WAS FULL OF FIRE AND ENERGY IN THIS VID.

      I met them all before the Bradford Queens Hall gig in 90. I was in their dressing room getting my vinyl sleeve signed just before Glen found out his bass had been nicked !

    First and only time seeing Deicide at 18. It was an eventful one 😂. I had forgotten who the third band was (i didnt see them) i was gutted to miss some of Cancers set too. 50 now fuck me those were good days ❤

      The date of the gig was 16/12/92 but because of the bomb scare evacuation during Atrocity's set, both Cancer and Deicide were late on stage !

Steve and Glen are just churning out generic nonsense at this point. Jack Owen didn't like how they were changing his material, which is exactly why he left. The Hoffman Brothers may not be blameless, but isn't their story similar???
