Is there anything more wholesome than Wall-E?
Yes.
Might just be a personnal opinion, and I might be biased, but I feel Takagi and Nishikata (from Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-San (Teasing Master Takagi-San in english)) are both cuter and more wholesome. But I doubt it's an anime you'd like.
Here's the thing: Auto is not a villain in the traditional sense. He's just following his directive, which is don't go back to earth under any circumstance.
You just explained most villains in shows. Lots of villains feel they’re doing the right thing and are willing to do anything to achieve it, like thanos
@@popsiclecheese4256 well… that not exactly true. Auto is a programmed AI. If BNL could create everything you saw, then I guarantee they cared more about Auto’s programming more than the generic robots.
Thanos on the other hand was only a villain because we consider killing everybody wrong and evil. His argument/reason is still valid and correct.
Over population is a thing and by removing half of all life, the lifespan of a planet or species can increase as there’s now less people using valuable resources and space.
He used logic and reasoning over empathy and feeling
When I was little, I thought this film was boring because I didn’t understand it, but I watched it again and I really loved it. The romance between WALL-E and Eve is so heartwarming, and it takes the genre into a new direction by talking about things that little kids may not understand like pollution and destroying the earth with our habits.
I genuinely, absolutely can’t believe Pixar told arguably the greatest romance story ever, and it was between 2 robots who could only speak one word.

As underrated as this film is, it holds a special place in my heart. I was 17 when this came out and I saw this on my first date with my first real boyfriend.
Hey… there’s a fantastic animated movie with little dialogue… and the main character just speaks a few narrative lines… Spirit stallion of the cimarron… one of the best animated movies out there… wink wink 😇

There's a neat little meta joke for movie reaction channels too. When Wall-e shows Eve a VCR tape, it's clearly a movie that he loves. Her reaction is to yank the tape out, and Wall-e freaks out, grabs the poor beast, and quickly applies pencil CPR by spooling it back in.

grew up watching this movie and love walle, eve, mo, and even auto who i pity which i came up with a theory on walle that somewhere around 300 to 400 years after he was created he became the last walle and that his personality actually began to grow and at the end of the movie when it shows him and eve by the tree walle would be around 1,400 years old. oh and auto wasn't actually evil he was following orders that he was programmed to follow to protect humans so I pity him also I liked gopher and Mo
