You mentioned wanting to see what happens after this. If you watch the drawings around the credits, you see Wall-E and Eve helping the people get started, and planting and rebuilding. It's sweet.
In my opinion this film is Pixar's magnum opus. Nothing comes close to how emotionally attached I am to this film. The story telling and world building, the message that just becomes stronger as time passes, and the stellar soundtrack. I sob everytime
Wall-E survived by becoming sentient. Once he went self aware, he took care of himself instead of just working until he broke down, like the others. Gotta love how he still went to work while Eve was comatose.
Ah! Indeed! But question for you: how do you think that sentience was achieved? Did Wall-E go through it’s own little version of a Technological Singularity? Given Wall-E’s highly advanced AI, the length of time of his functioning, the other units falling into disrepair, and finally, all of that raw and articulated data: from his own observations and calculations to the media it’s consumed what it seem like decades, if not , centuries, maybe it acquired sentience through pure observation, and data absorption-- but what do y’all think???
@@NestorCaster My theory is that his sentience is like cancer, a line of code that suddenly flared up one day and created his identity (which is definitely not as bad a it being called a virus would say), and that virus is in all robots. All those robots in the yard were broken, but also alive, with defined character traits. Mo didn't start as sentient, he became sentient upon touching Wall-E. EVE didn't start sentient, she became sentient once she was physically touched by Wall-E (He started holding her hand to bring her out of the storm, and suddenly, she started caring, became curious, danced, etc. You don't see sentinel bots shake or cower in fear, the only one who did was the one thrown in the cupboard, physically touched by EVE to be thrown in there. Honestly I made this theory up like two days ago and I made up those arguments writing this comment, and the more I think about them, the more solid I find them
Of course, I’ve heard another theory. When Operation Cleanup was deemed a failure, one of BNL’s last acts before abandoning Earth was a remote shutdown of all the WALL-E units, which might also explain why they still appear to be working in their death poses. But if that’s the case, how did *our* WALL-E escape the shutdown signal? I’m inclined to believe that the other machines simply worked until they shut down on their own, but I still have no idea how or when WALL-E achieved sentience.
This movie blew me away when i first watched it! The way the story is told through Wall-E and Eve's communication and they never even say a full sentence! Their ability and sense of expression is amazing and absolutely magical when they were dancing through space! I LOVE Wall-E!
This was my favorite movie for years as a kid...I was absolutely OBSESSED with these adorable robots 😅 Also since you went over what WALL-E and EVE stand for, M-O stands for Microbe-Obliterator in case you were wondering...also you can see WALL-E's full name (Waste Allocation Load Lifter-Earth class) on the side of his home, which was originally a trailer that contained all the WALL-E units, which is why it says that.
M-O makes so much sense, thank you! That was an adorable robot for sure 😁 I completely missed his name on the side of his home, sometimes I miss obvious things, and pick up on random small things 😅
Ben Burtt, who was the sound designer for the older six of the Star Wars movies and also „voiced“ R2-D2, did the „voice“ of WALL-E and M-O (the small cleaning robot) here. Originally, he wasn‘t interested in doing another movie with robots, but apparently he was won over by the script. So there is a definite connection between this movie and Star Wars. As someone else mentioned, WALL-E‘s eyes are similar to Number 5 from the movie „Short Circuit“, which is another good comedy with a sentient robot.
I love that you call them droids throughout. That specific term is a shortening of android, which was introduced by the original Star Wars, but it’s come to mean any sentient robot I suppose. Also, the voice of Wall-E is produced and processed by Ben Burtt, who was the sound engineer of Star Wars. He created the sounds of R2-D2, lightsabers, TIE fighters, blasters, and pretty much any space sound you hear in those movies. One of my favorite sci fi movies ever made, it’s relevant without being preachy, adorable, heartwarming, and stands the test of time.

You nailed it. WALL-E had an immense impact on people as well as the other droids/robots. Even being by himself for so long he had another purpose other than his original design. WALL-E did have such an impact on basically everyone! Just shows what one little droid can do. It was heartbreaking seeing him be reset to his original self, but thankfully EVE was able to bring him back 😍 The mice scene was just perfect, I loved it. Definitely never would have thought of that, but it makes so much sense 😂😂 I absolutely loved this movie, and I hope you enjoy the full reaction 😍🤩

WALL-E is voiced by Ben Burtt, the legendary sound effects guy who did sounds for R2-D2, Chewbacca, Darth Vader's breathing, The Lightsabers, pretty much everything in The Star Wars franchise. He was involved early in production unlike most movies where the sound effects usually is done in post-production after filming/animation is completed, as WALL-E is dependent on the sounds being a "silent film" with minimal and few dialouges. Beside WALL-E himself and the sound effects, Burtt also voiced M-O and several other male robots.

My favourite Pixar movie. Pixar is usually rudimentary in the morals of their stories, but this one is pretty deep. Imo, the message is defying our directive. Because our directive is to be destructive. Our nature, as humans, is to be destructive. To each other, to the environment, to the future, etc. It's just biology to survive, to kill or be killed, exploit everything for selfish gains. And we have to defy our own nature in order to build. And the humans in this movie is stuck in between. They're not destroying, or building, they're just existing. And it took a little hope for them to finally take the step into building. WALL-E himself managed to not only survive, but to live, because he defied his directive. He started hoarding stuff, started shaping the trash he compacts into skyscrapers. He found purpose by defying his directive. EVE too defied her directive by finding it in preserving WALL-E's life. Even though it seems like it's WALL-E's arc to find a life partner, it's actually EVE's arc to find a life partner. Someone worth defying her directive, and it's WALL-E. Sometimes I think EVE is the main character, because if you swap both of them, EVE and WALL-E fit the Byronic hero trope, and the manic pixie dream girl trope, respectively. But WALL-E has more centrality to the story, so he gets to be the main character. All in all, Pixar's greatest imho. Glad that it doesn't have a sequel to taint it's image.
A113 is a studio code and its variants are an inside joke and Easter egg in media developed by alumni of California Institute of the Arts, referring to the classroom used by graphic design and character animation students.
🤖👍 The musical that Wall-E keeps watching over and over is "Hello Dolly," the 1969 big screen adaptation of the 1964 hit Broadway stage production. If you're into musicals, it's a fun movie to watch in it's own right, although reacting to it (or any musical) is always problematic due to copyright issues. Interesting Trivia: At the time that Disney/Pixar made this film, they did not own the rights to "Hello Dolly" but they do now, having purchased 20th Century Fox a couple of years ago. Whenever anybody watches this film, I always suggest that they also check out "9" (2009), another animated film with a similar post-apocalyptic theme. Unlike "Wall-E" however, it has quite a bit of dialogue, spoken by a lot of well known celebrity vocal talent. You're always a hoot to watch and listen to.
Wall-E's design is inspired by the design of Johnny #5's design from the movie, Short Circuit (1986). Another movie you should react to. Very hilarious comedy.
Great reaction like always this movie its so emotional its one of my favourite animated movie. Did you know that the voice of Wall-E was created by the same Sound Designer that created R2-D2 in Star Wars the legendary Ben Burtt and there are a lot of easter eggs in the movie several items and characters from past Pixar films can be found in WALL-E’s trailer and in the trash scattered on Earth. If you look closely, you’ll see Rex from Toy Story, a Buzz Lightyear lunch box, Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc., and the bug zapper from A Bug’s Life to name a few. Keep up the good work.
You know, there are Pixar duds, but their great movies are so numerous by comparison, I usually just go to anything they make on faith. Such great stories and characters.
lol ... Sorry to make more work for you 😋 Up (2009) and In and Out (2015) hit pretty hard, and the Incredibles (2004) is very fun ... but right from their feature beginning with Toy Story and A Bugs Life, just great.
“Like an ostrich” I gotta say that’s a myth and I’m sorry, those birds are actually pretty tough, they don’t need to hide when they can power kick everything in the Savanna into oblivion, plus if they’re tactic of hiding is just sticking their heads in the dirt they would be extinct by now
The movie WALL-E (2008) is very beautiful and emotional. It also gives us emotions because of its story. I still remember it very much when I went to the cinema to see it at that time. I really liked your reaction video to the movie 😊❤ Do you plan to make more reaction videos? To more Disney animated movies
@@VerowakReacts Wait 'til ya get to TOY STORY 2 (1999); I cried so much during one scene. INSIDE OUT (2015), COCO (2017) and SOUL (2020) are more recent favez.
I remember playing it on PS3 and it being pretty fun even if obviously made for the kids, I don't remember there being much skill involved. You just played levels that progressed through the movie.
Technically, Wall-E is a "robot". But your choice of the term "droid" was VERY poignant! Because Wall-E is the PERFECT example of the phenomenon called "Droid effect". (Where something exposed to enough different events/ situations/ objects/ stimuli, that it can remember, will eventually GROW into a "sentient" or "quasi-sentient" being!) A "sentience" that can conceivably "spread" by THAT being exposing OTHERS to "new stimuli". Even MORESO if you note that the HUMANS were effectively "robots" now as well! Not metallic (obviously), but in the fact that they ONLY followed their "programmed paths"! (at least, until Wall-E introduced new experiences to them) So, well done, on that one. Also, I love the series of still images at the end that tell the "epilogue" of the story. (What humanity is going to do next.) Very heartwarming.
Hm, watched quite a few reacts, hence rewatched the movie several times and only now do I wonder where are the moomoos.. and any other animal (save roaches..) so I wonder if they'll ever have cheese pizza :/

But WALL-E has more centrality to the story, so he gets to be the main character. All in all, Pixar's greatest imho. Glad that it doesn't have a sequel to taint it's image.
The computer mice are called REM-E after Remy from Ratatouille.
18:22 You're the only person I have seen mention this. I've always wondered what happened to the other ships.
When I first saw the trailer, I instantly felt like this was a copy of the 80s movie Short Circuit. The design is similar.
Aww this was a super cute movie. Another great reaction video Vero and I absolutely love the slide transitions
Thank you!!! I'm glad the transitions are noticed 😁 An incredibly adorable movie that will be rewatched in the future lol
EVE is "Darn it, I asked you not to bother me at work!"
The male singer is Michael Crawford, who originated the title role in _The Phantom of the Opera._
such an adorable movie, glad you enjoyed it!
I really did! It's such a lovely movie 😍
These are the kind of reactions i like. It's real not for effect.
Wall-E's design is inspired by the design of Johnny #5's design from the movie, Short Circuit (1986). Another movie you should react to. Very hilarious comedy.
So many people are mentioned Short Circuit, I'll have to get around to watching it
Great reaction like always this movie its so emotional its one of my favourite animated movie.
This is such a great movie. ^^
Ice Pirates has some good droid characters
You should have showed the credit.
It pretty much tells of what happened to them afterward.
This movie predicted "pizza is a vegetable" meme by 3 years
Pizza IS a vegetable. So it's fine to eat it every day 😇
You know, there are Pixar duds, but their great movies are so numerous by comparison, I usually just go to anything they make on faith. Such great stories and characters.
I haven't seen many PIxar movies, I'll have to fix that it seems :D
lol ... Sorry to make more work for you 😋
Up (2009) and In and Out (2015) hit pretty hard, and the Incredibles (2004) is very fun ... but right from their feature beginning with Toy Story and A Bugs Life, just great.
@@Hapsard At least there's no shortage of movies to watch lol
Watched this cartoon for first time in November 2022,and I like it!
I haven't seen many animated movies, so I wasn't ready for how emotional it was!
Not sure if it's been mentioned, but there was a game based on this. Pretty enjoyable.
Lego X-wing behind you..great!
Such a cute story and great reaction.
The story really is too adorable!
"Immensely...more...big"
I have a way with words 😁
@@VerowakReacts besides very forgiveable little moments like this, you're actually very eloquent and that makes for a good reaction and analysis.
@@HARRi81_UKThe brain farts are part of the charm 😂 And thank you !!
“Like an ostrich” I gotta say that’s a myth and I’m sorry, those birds are actually pretty tough, they don’t need to hide when they can power kick everything in the Savanna into oblivion, plus if they’re tactic of hiding is just sticking their heads in the dirt they would be extinct by now
Fun one, Verowak! Loved it! 😊
The Iron Giant!
The movie WALL-E (2008) is very beautiful and emotional. It also gives us emotions because of its story. I still remember it very much when I went to the cinema to see it at that time. I really liked your reaction video to the movie 😊❤
Do you plan to make more reaction videos?
To more Disney animated movies
The story is just so beautiful, yes!
I plan to continue to react to movies, yes. Animated movies also yes!
I love this ❤ you should react to more Disney/Pixar classics
Hey Vero! Big hugs! Couldn’t decide who’s more cuter 😅
Great reaction to a classic pixar movie
Thank you! I need to watch more Pixar movies it seems
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
Back when Pixar was great. Next on your list should be.." UP"..

This woman is amazing ;D
Aww thank you!! 🥰
You're very expressive, it'd be fun to watch something with you :)
Thanks, Verowak! 🤖 I love this one... top-tier Disney/Pixar, for sure. 🌱 #VerowakReacts #AndrewStanton #WallE
It really is top tier (though I haven't seen many animated movies yet) 😁
@@VerowakReacts Wait 'til ya get to TOY STORY 2 (1999); I cried so much during one scene. INSIDE OUT (2015), COCO (2017) and SOUL (2020) are more recent favez.
@@auntvesuvi3872I have such a massive backlog of movies now lol
@@VerowakReacts LOL I've been watching movies for 55 years and I still find ones that I'm surprised I hadn't seen before.

wonder what lines from this one you're gonna quote for the next quiz.
3:26 there is a game
I didn't know that, I'll have to look it up!
I remember playing it on PS3 and it being pretty fun even if obviously made for the kids, I don't remember there being much skill involved. You just played levels that progressed through the movie.
I haven't seen this yet, it's on my list LOL, so I can't watch the vid. Big blind thumbs up for you though! 🤗🤗🥰🥰💖💖
The never ending list of movies to watch!! 🤣I hope you get around to watching it soon!!
(at least, until Wall-E introduced new experiences to them)
So, well done, on that one.
Also, I love the series of still images at the end that tell the "epilogue" of the story. (What humanity is going to do next.) Very heartwarming.
Hi!
Big Hero 6
I've heard great things about Big Hero 6!
