Can’t think of many trailers you can buy, live in full time for 2 years and get all your money back plus a bit extra if well cared for. That’s a great deal! If casitas were better insulated for colder weather I’d seriously consider.
Check out Slim Potatohead here on RUclips. He runs all over Canada, even up to the Arctic Circle in a Trilliant, built similarly to a Casita. He seems comfortable in it.
Oh I forgot to tell you my dad purchased a 2020 thor four winds and he uses it to transport my mom to her doctors appointments because she can lay down and ride because she is disabled. He has only been able to use it twice because the rv broke both times he drove it 50 miles total each time to the doctors office. The warranty paid for the work but it took 4 months each time to fix it. The second time he drove it the front cap cracked and took them 4 months to fix that issue. We live about 15 mins from the casita plant in rice.
That Four Winds 22E is spectacular at the price point. I’m sure everyone has seen Matt’s review on the 22E. Painted hot water door and a porcelain toilet... In the low 50’s. I also think Rusty will realize fuel economy approaching the 10’s. Good Luck Rusty. Can’t wait for your tour. Don’t forget that RVIA inspection. That one will make great content.

If you can afford to keep the truck I would! Use it in Llano when you are at your home base, leave it when you travel in the summer, your current trailer park appears very safe and secure. You are in a beautiful space with beautiful views! Your decision to switch has got me looking at class C’s, but that was quite a tease with yesterday’s Bigfoot! Only to be 40 again!
I believe I came here just as he was going from the Prius to the Ram. He at the time was thinking of camping in the bed without a topper. It’s been a great journey since then. It will only continue to get better.

I just picked up my 2020 casita on the 1st and have been in it for a couple of days. It pulls so easy and is perfect for my needs. Could you do a video of things that you think is a must have for making the inside more comfortable. What size is your bed topper and where did you get it? Any gadgets that you recommend before I end up buying things I don't need.
The wide mouth liquid laundry detergent bottles make for an excellent pee jug. Just pull the pour spout off with a pair of pliers, and you'll have a nondescript, high capacity, spill proof pee jug with a built in handle
I've been 1.5 years now in my Fleetwood 27ft hahah parked in same damn spot as when I bought it in 2009....its an 04. Man. I would hate to tow this thing. My Chevy would have no issues but both not in best maintained condition...heheheh

Rusty when you sell the Casita have you thought of selling it with everything in place (the gang etc.) minus your computer etc. The buyer could take it to RV shows and charge admission to tour it and see where it all began................idea? LOL

The Casista is one of the few RV's that is built to last. Most RV's are designed to leak and be junk in less than ten years.

Excellent towing MPG with your truck. When Ford comes out with their hybrid Ranger, it would pair up great with one of these.
