People don’t seem to know that the Rangers went 18-36 in 1 run games. A lot of those games, the bullpen was poorly managed. If we win half of those games, we win 95 games. I feel like we are due for big things this year.
As a die hard rangers fan all my life. We are in 3rd place still. The best case scenario is that every pitcher stays healthy, we will make second place in the division. I'm not sure if that's good enough for a wild card, though.
@brandoncue3013 The AL West will be a better division, but they'll be devastated by how much BETTER the AL East is going to be at the end of the regular season.
The Rangers made just enough moves to fortify the pitching staff that, now, all they need is a little more offense. They've done just enough to possibly pass Seattle and Los Angeles to get into second place. Will they pass Houston? No way.
You have long term guys with eovaldi and Heaney only being short term guys you can develop that young pitching the rangers have like leiter and rocker, they have pieces now and if you had a hat like reynolds they could be scary good
By clearing out the coaching staff and bringing in Botchy and Maddex....for all the people saying we're gonna stay in 3rd or 4th place your wrong....coaching matters in baseball
This! I’m a rangers fan. Even if we get half a season of great pitching and can acquire something at the deadline then it’s a win in my book. These are the pitching moves the angels should have been making
Can't expect those starters to be full time relievers with Degrom's injury history. I highly doubt Degrom is going to pitch every 5 days next year if he doesn't miss significant amount of time. Gotta know who you're talking about here.
Bro degrom literally had 2 weird injuries the past 2 seasons before 2021 he was one of the least injured pitchers in baseball so I don’t get why people like yourself claim he’s injury prone all of a sudden because of 2 bad luck injuries. Sit back and watch your comment blow up in your face.
@@ryantaylor3828 the past two years aren’t the only time he’s been injured. He was on injury watch for a while in his career. But also you can’t ignore what’s most recent. Well the Angels lineup is definitely better, the rotation considering injury risk, is definitely better, and I haven’t personally compared bullpens but overall I’d say the Angels are well ahead.
Nice prediction! All 3 teams were tied with only a few games to go in the regular season, and Seattle just barely fell to Texas and Houston, who ended the season tied
Nobody realizes we had a horrible record in 1-run games. We were actually closer to a 500. team. Hence why we fired our coach and hired Bochy. We are not THAT far behind Seattle or Houston. I see us winning 85 games.
You won 68 last year and you have a 4 bat lineup. Your starters are almost all injury prone. Your bullpen is mid as mid can be. Floor 65 Ceiling 85 at the absolute most, if DeGegrom pitches 30 games.
Now that the shift is illegal, guys that struggled offensively will suddenly be more effective. This is one of the more intriguing baseball seasons, just because of the anti-shift rules and the effect on offense/pitching.
Don't think it's unreal or omg it's great but it's a lil bit better and it's deeper as well. They have 6 guys who are pros and evoldi and his stuff is still filthy that's the key for me if he is anything like in 2018 when he won a world series the rangers could compete.
