Just realise this dude lost Everything to the covenant only to defy them and become the strongest force in the galaxy, single handedly take on Red team and Chief with ease, had his Planet blown up and is just getting more vengeful by the hour. Best Villain in the halo series by a long shot.
honestly, when i found out Doisac was destroyed i can't help but feel bad for Atriox and the Jiralhanae. their anger is indeed justified, but I wish he would work with the others who oppose Cortana

I like how the right side of his face is his normal controlled and stoic demeanor while the left side of his face reflects what he's actually feeling internally: absolutely incensed by Cortana's crimes.

Just finished the game and I’m gonna be honest I was a little bit shocked Atriox survived and I’m excited to see what else they’ll add in the near future

I beat the game the other day somehow knowing thered be a post credit. And im real happy they showed that Atriox lived. Hes got a lot of potential as a main villain for the Halo series.

@@orionanimations3537 la bóveda del silencio es como una cárcel donde están seres extremadamente peligrosos o que así los consideraban los forerunner, pero que no podian destruir, entre esos seres estaban los eternos, Atriox conoció al heraldo y de alguna forma vió que esta raza le aseguraría su victoria frente a cualquier enemigo. Ahora respecto a esta escena está cumpliendo su parte del trato liberar a los eternos, cuando el heraldo muere dice: "tienes lo que necesitas, diles que lamento haber tardado tanto" le estaba diciendo eso a Atriox

Although, we have to keep in mind that he will be told that Chief showed respect to Escharum and gave Escharum's a true warrior's death.
He was dying from a terminal disease by all means it wasn’t just a mercy kill it was more of a warriors dying wish to face a worthy opponent and die a meaningful death than in a hospital bed.
Something tells me Atriox faked his death and waited for the right moment to get what he wants.

I kinda guessed he was still alive. But now it sorta makes me wish Cortana was still alive. Granted, Cortana’s death does have weight to it and it left me pretty satisfied. But still… she sacrificed herself to “kill” Atriox.
It was to stop him from using the Ring, it worked for the most part.
Tbh it still bothers me how out of character cortana is for the last 2 games. I’m glad she’s finally laid to rest but I wish there were better reasons as to why we’ve seen her become so evil.

@Michael Kiely it was most definitely her rampancy that made her bad, that and the fact that she spent months being interrogated and manipulated by the gravemind. After Halo 4 when she “cured” herself of her rampancy by entering the Domain she was still in that manipulated state that the gravemind put her in, she was still technically trying to carry out her initial goal of saving humanity and ending the war at any cost necessary but she definitely took it way too far to the point that she actually killed huge portions of humanity herself.
@Michael Kiely I’m aware lol, but the logic plague definitely played a role in her declining thought process. But she didn’t cure her rampancy after Halo 4. Entering the domain just gave her a plethora of new knowledge, it didn’t cure her at all. If it cured her she wouldn’t have followed in Mendicant Bias’ footsteps and turned against her creators.
One thing that I like about Atriox is that he's been shown as not really evil, just on the other side of the conflict. It makes him feel more realistic. War is complicated and it's almost never a straight forward "good guys vs bad guys" situation.
Would be awesome to have a DLC playing as Atriox :)
Awww yes! I knew Halo Infinite campaign wasn't over. I can't wait for future DLCs The Flood, Atriox, maybe we'll see the Arbiter in the near future.

Other than atriox there is one badass i always wanted to run into, and that’s xytan if he would’ve survived during his ship exploding he wouldve been one of the biggest threats known just saying atriox wouldn’t have a chance
That would have been so badass to fight Xytan, he would make any elite/brute look small in comparison, I feel like it was a huge missed opportunity to kill him off so anticlimactically in the books.

Cortana destroyed part of the ring and the Silent Auditorium, keeping The Banished from activating the ring and was hoping that if she goes down, she’ll take Atriox with her.
But he managed to survive and was in contact with the Harbinger. She needed the auditorium to locate her people and before her death at the hands of the Master Chief, she contacted Atriox with the location.

So real question is does Atriox know of the time travel ability that Zeta Halo has? With time travel now added I hope they do some real cool stuff but not crazy unbelievable like being Johnson back……? Right?
It’s not conventional time travel, it’s like a slip space portal. Chief and the weapon were suspended in the slip space dimension for what equaled out to three days on the ring even though it was seamless for him. I’m probably doing a bad job at explaining it but the forerunner book trilogy explains it a lot better.
@@ILootStandingStill right, forerunner tech and slipspace causing time distortions has been a thing in Halo since it’s early years. Wondering around in forerunner ruins for a few hours and it’s 6 months later with you come out is just “normal”.

If the harbinger had time travel capabilities of that magnitude she could easily go even further back in time by herself and literally undo the forerunners before they’re even created lol. Halo isn’t introducing time travel or that degree, it would just shatter the storyline.

I noticed Atriox right hand isn't mechanical like in Halo Wars, rather augmented. Can anyone clarify if Atriox hand is actually mechanical? It seems like a bit of oversight from 343 as they use standard brute models for almost all their AI.
I still miss the old legendary cutscene made by Bungie and previous Halo games. It has that kind of aesthetic and nostalgic feel to me.
His hand was never mechanical in Halo Wars 2. He just wears power armor.
I hope in the future they make a storyline where atriox brings his planet back. The brutes are my favourite part of Halos world and lore and seeing their planet get destroyed sucks.
Dlc coming where we play as Atriox and chief in a dual campaign like Halo 2 with banished forces betrayed Atriox or a new threat emerge like the flood coming back on this ring or the precursors.

I doubt it. Eshaurum basically made a cult of personality around Atriox. When he returns to the Banished with the Endless he would basically be seen as a demi-god who can never die

When I saw a mysterious figure put a device on that console and opened the door I wondered what those Cylixes contained (I later found out that they contained the DNA of the Endless) and when the camera turned to the mysterious figure I silently shocked and reliazed Atriox was still alive. But after playing this game and seeing the ending the only question on my mind is "what does Atriox plan to do with the Endless?". Hopefully future DLC or a game will answer this question

It probably got wiped off when Cortana blew that section of the Ring up. Atriox somehow managed to survive but you can tell it left some scarring on him.
What dose he want with the endless
He found the endless
Atriox, a jiralhanae brute part of a clan the covenant used as expandable muscle to break the front lines on planets against humanity.
Forty at a time they were sent in to die for a religion they didn't believe in, none ever returned until he did.
As the war raged on and he continued to survive battles, every time he would watch 39 of his comrades die, it got to the point where even he couldn't hide his hatred of the covenant, and when they tried to kill him Atriox did what he does best...
So what that means is this. That device was an archive of that entire campaign chief waged in that game. Every move, every decision. It appears Atriox is running continuous simulations trying to figure out how to beat Chief. Each of those tablets is the same simulation (the Halo Infinite campaign) played out with different outcomes. The game we played is only the most recent simulation, and as we know, Chief won again. I suspect we will learn in the season 2 missions that Atriox is still alive and is in control of some mechanism that allows him to control time on that ring. He cannot change the moment where he dropped Chief into open space, because that occurred outside of the ring. Each time Chief beats his forces, he stops time, archives it, and runs it back to the moment Chief is discovered by Echo and taken back to the ring. I suspect Halsey and Lasky are laying low somewhere in the ring, there is a marine recording on a tablet that says as much. I do not feel Cortana was actually defeated, as the Weapon is still alive. Most likely, Halsey was able to recover her and is laying low waiting for Chief. As for the forward movement of the story from here, they can go one of two ways. Atriox reverses time to the beginning of the game where Echo picks up Chief. The missions feel similar until Chief makes a discovery that he didn't before, and gets taken on a far different arch that the season 1 missions, possibly discovering the mechanism that controls the passage of time, and therefore the location of Atriox. That. Or you continue where you left off, Atriox appears right after Chief kills the monitor, and now knowing everything there is to know about Chiefs fighting style, he begins a campaign to track and kill Chief once and for all. In this storyline, Chief could also discover the mechanism that controls time. Halsey and Lasky would still be hiding out somewhere on the ring and Cortana could still be in Halseys possession.
Me personally looking at the story in this game so far, the writers only used around 25% of the characters and lore that they could have used. The promethians aren't there. The flood isn't there. The arbiter isn't there. You only get a small hint of the endless. You have to suspect the forerunners are hidden in the web of time, between dimensions. The arbiter wasn't there. No Lasky or Halsey. Chiefs team is home on Reach. The other fire teams weren't there. You get a hint that Locke is dead, but no proof. Most importantly, the covenant aren't there. They won the Civil War against the storm covenant and seized all assets and war materials from them. The covenant was strong after Halo 5. We know that Cortana was working with Atriox at one point. Where did the Guardians go?
I think it's critical to explore the map for clues of time travel structures, mini halos carved in stone. Look for the cortana logo. I know the writers left clues to tidy us over until the next season. Start thinking along the lines to time travel and simulations. Being able to rewind a seemingly 3 week long campaign over and over again to learn the habits of your adversary. Atriox is at a location on that ring that is void of the passage of time. Remember, they most likely won't reset Chief in season 2 because doing so means he doesn't remember what just happened, he starts over. That would make players aggravated. Instead, I think it better for season 2 to continue directly after season 1 and for Chief to either make the discovery of the time control, or determine a way to lure Atriox out, or both. I still think the best way to end the Halo story when the time comes to end it, you have Chief taking over the mantle of responsibility and every piece of forerunner tech. And he resets time to pre-Halo Reach. And ends the conflict before it starts. End.

It's not like Chief was completely caught off guard where he had no chance. Chief turned around and managed to block Atriox's first attack with his arm and he instantly fired his gun at Atriox but Atriox simply outplayed him and outmatched him physically. Chief managed to still get up and land hits on Atriox so it's not like he couldn't even hit back because he was so caught off guard. Chief clearly put lots of power in what punches he could get off but it hardly phased Atriox and Atriox proceeded to utterly embarrass Chief. Chief even admitted that Atriox beat him surgically, precisely and brutally. He simply got outplayed by a better warrior. Chief got humbled for once and that's a good thing. It's alright for the good guys to lose. Who would want a story where the good guys defeat everything with no problem? That's bland, boring and unoriginal and I applaud 343 for going against what the Chief stans would say because if it were up to the Chief stans, Chief would never get so much as a papercut.

Nothing ended, the fight with Escharum was cool but the rest was all holograms with hints of a story that happened somewhere else and maybe perhaps one that will continue sometime in the future, as well as the harbinger existing solely to warn of an enemy that we never got to see but instead we have to wait even longer for, and what for?
It’s all just setup there to make you wait for more story DLC, and this being the final product after 6 years of waiting for Halo Infinite, which was supposed to be the big finale finisher campaign were were waiting for, just meant to setup *maybe* something good later.

It’s all about waiting for things to get better with these Devs, seriously. They got real comfy with Halo 5 when they realized they make a lot more money with people spending money on the innocent microtransactions while they *wait* for things to get better. Wait for them to be complete later.

She did, what we saw was a message she made mere milliseconds before destroying herself. Atriox most likely just stayed dead to be a martyr and inspire the banished to fight harder until he could bide enough time to learn what was hidden under the ring.

I guess that when Cortana blew up that part of the Ring, Atriox was running to a Forerunner Portal in order to escape. However the destruction caused on the Ring kinda messed up the travel and Atriox was trapped inside for 6 months.

I think Atriox did die, but at the end, we are actually looking at an Atriox who was still alive in the past and he has receieved knowledge of the future from the Harbinger.
