Thank you! I've spent forever trying to get a Voronoi pattern on a spiral loft of catenary curves. I'm new to grasshopper, and everywhere I read, they said it wasn't possible. I'm so happy I found this tutorial!
Hi thank you so much for this video! I have created my voronoi pattern on a separate square/bounding box and was wondering how I should go about attaching that voronoi pattern to the ellipse that I have created. ANY TIPS WOULD HELP!
Hi Thomas - Great Tutorial. When I try to loft the polyline and the scale geometry it's not possible. Only one of them can be directed to the Loft function. Any Ideas?
@@lucamazzetti6759 hi i know its a bit late, but i dont quite get it. what do you mean for "2 sets of curves"? what should i connect with the merge option? hope you see this thanks!
Hi! Great job! Is it possible to randomly generate the seeds until the edges are in some length diapason? And then export the coordinates of the edges.
I'm having trouble installing the plugin, do you know how to bypass this part? it basically tells me that the installation on the server fails, how did you do it?
hi! when using the polyline function to close the brep|brep lines, it creates straight lines on the surface rather than curving with the surface. is there a way to make these lines curve with the surface?
I noticed that too at around 11:00 mins in. I'm trying to figure out how to keep the curved edges, cause it defeats the purpose of making the whole bounding box step if we're going to lose the curved edges anyways. Did you happen to figure anything out since your original post?
sorry to bother you, i got a somewhat complicated shape, and when i try to use a scale box and then type 1.1010 it offsets the surface but intersects with it as well. I tried changing the distance a little more but it was still intersecting. Any ideas on how I can fix this issue. Is there any way for me to move it up or down a little so i can continue with the design?
hello thomas (and others willing to help). i am trying to combine the voronoi pattern to a triangle trigonometry but have no clue which nodes to put in-between to make it work out. any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi, I've tried this parametric scheme but I'm having trouble with this warning: "1. Solution exception:Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index" ...is there any solution for this kind of problem?
Hi, i have a question In rhino, i have a set of points and i want to group them on voronoi surfaces. In this case, i have 4300 points and i want to group them into 10 voronoi surfaces. I dont jnow how to make this simplification. I need help. In other words, i have a map with the ubication of 4300 houses, i want to place 10 hospital in the map but i dont know... Thank you!
I know a little, but I know definitely that you need to do the following: in>grasshopper>(right click)>bake command to have a geometry in rhino otherwise its in grasshopper only
Hello Thomas, thanks for your first Grasshopper tutorial. I have found some problems when I connect "Average" : "Invalid cast: curve >> Primitive data type" Can you upload the gh file? So I could comparate it. Thanks in advance!

Awesome tutorial! Ive tried tones of tutorials and finally, my 3D works thanks to you
Nice tutorial, alot of good info, well explained. Many thanks
Thankyouuu, u just save me from my final exam, goodjob
Thanks, that was a beautiful tutorial
nice tutorial Thomas. Is very good.
Thanks for your time. very helpful tutorial
This is really awesome!
Nice tutorial!! Saludos de Chile :)
Thank you this is so helpful. :)
thank you! nice tutorial.
looks great! thank you! - I would ad bifocals to your videos though, it adds a bit more visual info
Thank you! Great tutorial!
Just perfect!!! Thank you
really helpful! Thank you!

Same problem here!
For whose they still want to know! use the merge option to input the 2 sets of curves and output in loft
@@lucamazzetti6759 OMG it works

Thank´s a lot Thomas...

Thanks man!
Hi! how can I write on the grasshopper canvas?? My name and question no should appear on the canvas due to the exam.
When I connected to the polyline, it said it "insufficient point for polyline" I am wondering how to solve this problem. Thank you.
I have the same problem! did you solve it?
I have this problem too...
did anyone find a solution for this?

the warning appears in the Loft component btw..
thank you! saved my ass
its verry nice vedio thank you verry much

thank you

hello can i add this pattern to the hatch menu and how
Muy bueno Saludos¡
The perimeter of the baked-figure-voronoi is thinner than the rest, ...i dont understand why?---can you explain that ?--Thank you ! ( Good tutorial)
same here...
Anyone know why my loft command states: 1. Data conversion failed from Curve to Loft Options
can i do this without grasshopper ? i never used it

I did it! Thanks and waiting for a new tutorial from you
I'm sorry, looked it up but never actually saved the file.. Did you figure it out?
Yes, I did it! Thanks Thomas
Duude I thought you will not use add other pluggins.... :(
