Magnificent footage and really admire both of you for your endurance and your will to complete this walk! Can't wait to see next leg of your journey! Thanks for sharing and the scenery is so beautiful!
I take my hat off to your friend Sandy....it was hard for him but he kept at it. I've done a 6 day hike before now and know how sapping it can be. Bravo to you both. I love them kind of woods that are rich in moss and green...it's a magical world to walk in. Fabulous hike Sandy mate...I would have enjoyed testing out my heart and legs with you guys. Admiration for sure. All the best and have a great week next week. Mark.
So great to re visit this series... brings memories flooding back of my wlk Sandy a wk after you did it. I can't wait to do it again which would be my third crossing. . Seems a pipe dream at the moment. ..
I can identify with Mark. I climbed Ben Lomond last year with my son. At fifty six I struggle with the steep climbs, and pains in my legs. The climb to the top took all of my determination, many times felt like giving up. I suprised myself by making it to the summit and the view and great sense of achievement made it well worth it. A memory of a lifetime. I've been watching your videos for years now and always enjoy them. Thank you for sharing.
Lovely to spot some familiar places and still feel the awe and exhilaration, and of course every little physical twinge of pain that dogs a challenging journey like this :-)
I've enjoyed your narration through each leg of this incredible journey, and also the historic points of interest as well as the beautiful mountain views. Thank you for sharing. Part 3 now.! All the best, Stella
Part two - also fabulous, thoroughly enjoyed watching that. Considering getting a couple of those adventures meals for my upcoming cycle camp with Sam, if I don't use them there's no waste and will store. Thanks for bringing us along on this adventure Sandy and now for part three....
+Matt Hill (Matt Hill's Ramblings) Hi Matt. The meals are tsty and cost about £4.50 each. Not cheap but they give you something to look forward too at the end of the day. Sandy
Man you are an inspiring walking partner Sandy, really positive encouragement there from you when Mark needed it most. This is such a wonderful journal of your trek together, and thank you for sharing it with us in such an adept way! Well done again to you both, it is quite an achievement and you should be justly proud.
Another excellent video. I'm glad Mark's morale improved. It looked like some pretty rough going there for him for a bit. What a blessing to have a friend like you there to keep his spirits up. I'm sure you'll both be able to look back on the hard times and remember it as not being so bad and also glad that you went on with it. Now on to the final episode!
This is a really nice series! Can't wait to see that last part a with you both crossing the finish line (so to speak). This is really motivating to watch also. Dan
Mark’s doing well climbing this series of steep and not so steep trails. At the end of the trail, reward him with some fine local food and beverage of his choice. Well done and God bless you both.
well done sandy i really enjoy your films after another hip replacement back in december youve inspired me to get back out wild camping n hiking just done the east section of john muir way last week n spent 2 days on the whw week before, so thanks for that hips still a bit stiff n kee plays up but il live hopefully get whw done again for the 7th time having run it twice back in my youth once under 20 hrs n once just under 27 hrs mountain biked it in 2 days n walked it in 4 5 6 next time full kit 7 days ktf n take care
Utterly brilliant sandy, the scenery you have video'ed is out of this world. picked possibly the best time of year, Not noticed any black midges! Cheers
wow that cold light of dawn at the end was just beautiful mate im so glad mark was feeling better, nothing worse than feeling crap on long walks. going to look into those meals as 600 cals are very welcome top one mate
+funkyprepper They are good meals Darren. Mark had some mountain house and said they had ;ess cals and didn't taste as good. Give them a try they are not too expensive. ATB Sandy
Outstanding guys, interesting that you feel stronger as the journey progresses. Stunning scenery that the walk gives you must be the best way to appreciate it for sure. Thanks for taking us along with you. atvb t ..
two cracking videos mate looking forward to the part 3, you must be super fit Sandy mate as I couldnt keep up with badger at the moment not until i get the clot out of my lung, anyways you almost passed me going there and if you went up the A1 you would have passed me by 2 miles ,,,one day i will meet you Sandy, to shake your hand is on my bucket list, lol ATB Richie
I've decided that your videos are bad for shop productivity! haha I usually have videos playing while out in the workshop. But I find myself just staring at the screen with my mouth gapped open! No work done! lol stunning Sandy, just a wonderful adventure!
I've had that brand of dried meals as well sandy and didn't reckon much. The chicken curry is nothing like a curry I found, if you've not tried them yet, try the " extreme outdoor food .com" meals. They're a little more expensive, but really are much nicer and taste of what the pack says. I also found that like you I use my spare clothes dry bag with clothes in for pillow, but found that the dry bag doesn't keep sliding out from under your head and sleeping bag when you turn dry bag inside out then put the clothes in. Just thought this might help. Not trying to teach a granny etc etc. Anyway great vid, thanks sandy
Mate I am loving this trip, walking real wild country, the bridge of Orchy is part of General Wades military road through the highlands, purposely built to make it easier to move troops and subdue the Highlanders, I think there's a long walk called " the Military way " , now for p3.
Wonderful videos Sandy thank you, something I can no longer do being a bit on the disabled side now, maybe we can link up on the amateur radio one day :)
Hi Sandy,i love your and Bb's record of your journey! Now I've not read any comments and I'm sure I missed when you said, but, what time of year did you2 undertake your undertaking 👍👍🇬🇧
Hey mate, I am getting the same tent as you got, but I have a question. Should i get the pole the company supplies, or should i go with 2 walking sticks? I am not sure which is better and which will make the tent more staple
Hi is the tent towards the end of the video a Nigor wikiup4 and the other a wikiup3? I'm looking at purchasing one but can't decide whether to get a 3 or 4. I'm 6'4" so thinking maybe the 4 would be a better option possibly? I'd like to be able to fit my bicycle in with me also one the occasions that I go touring.
Wiltshire Man hi can you recommend a 2 man tent that will withstand whatever weather the WHW can throw at you? high street tents just ain't giving me any confidence. ken.
Hello Sandy, Might be a silly question but any chance of the route you used being published? Or private message me. Would love to walk that. Stunning. I have really started to fall in awe of your videos. Well done Sir.

Hey mate, I am getting the same tent as you got, but I have a question. Should i get the pole the company supplies, or should i go with 2 walking sticks? I am not sure which is better and which will make the tent more staple
Look at their rucsacs! They're huge, especially Mark's! What on earth are they carrying?
Hi is the tent towards the end of the video a Nigor wikiup4 and the other a wikiup3? I'm looking at purchasing one but can't decide whether to get a 3 or 4. I'm 6'4" so thinking maybe the 4 would be a better option possibly? I'd like to be able to fit my bicycle in with me also one the occasions that I go touring.
Hi Andrew These shelters were Luxe Hexpeak V4. You will need a slightly larger tent if you are over 6ft
Wiltshire Man hi
can you recommend a 2 man tent that will withstand whatever weather the WHW can throw at you?

+sunshine Yes indeed
