11:17 That was my street in the 60s-early 70s, Riverside Drive in Hamilton Heights Manhattan! There was a shot of my building in the film between during the chase scene 139th and 140th, a 24-floor brick building called, The Riverview Towers (built in the 60s).

Amazing research. As a native NYer I loved this movie for its location shots. I suddenly have a yearning for a chock-full-o-nuts 55¢ tuna sandwich

Just watched this movie on RUclips. Many years since first time. Incredible effort putting this together. Really interesting on how run down alot of the locations were compared with today. Some hardly any change which is always nice when looking back.
    Top job ! 👏

Wow, excellent research and editing work here, very interesting to see what is (more or less) still there, what has become better over the years, what has been destroyed, what has survived as if nothing happened in these past decades. Loved that intenste movie a lot, not as well known as Bullit or French Connection, but definetely of the same quality level, be it with a different approach in a different setting. Hats off from Belgium for the makers of the movie, the filming locations update and the uploader !

7:28 -- That's me (at age 20) on the left side near the fence with the camera crew. The crew let me tag along for two whole days. I love it how they kept this shot in the film, well of course the action is passing by really fast. The next shot here is one of the ones that were filmed from this vantage point.

Excellent work! The rare 1970s film where many of the locations are still in tact. The one missing location is the police precinct The Seven Ups operate out of. An unconfirmed source told me it was filmed at the 94 Precinct in Greenpoint Brooklyn. That building is also unchanged, but we need confirmation that it is the actual location.

A lot more signs in the modern world. I wonder if we're being controlled more!? That aside, as a lifeong Seven Ups and Roy Scheider fan, I really appreciate your appreciation of the movie. Yes, I saw it. I saw my first Bond movie, Live and Let Die, in the summer of the year this movie came out, and for a 12-year-old, car chase movies became irresistable! Had to see this one. And Roy was much more personable for a kid than a lot of the mains in other action movies such as Gene Hackman and Steve McQueen. In this video, it is amazing to see what is still there and what has changed, but glad to see some of those trees are still there and more filled out!

9:29 I suspect the Civil Jail building had been recently closed at the time, so it was a ready-made filming location both inside and out. The Seven-Ups squad room and the holding cell where they pressure Joe Spinnel to talk may likely have been inside that address. 9:53 at the time of filming, the few unimproved blocks of Erskine place where the action takes place was still called Bassett Avenue 10:30 indicated by the street sign visible behind Richard Lynch.
