Granted, I am a Yank. But I just love the 2 Ronnie's. We Americans have nothing on the Brittish humor. My next dog shalll be named "Ronnie Barker". Woof Woof.
So true. American humor from the last decades is not at all in the same class....But Laurel and Hardy from the 20s and 30s was in the same class as The Two Ronnies!
They are a mix of Folk Songs and Nursey Rhymes with (obviously) altered lyrics. I recognise most of them, but can't recall all the names, sadly. The ones I can remember are: A-Hunting We Will Go - This is the main refrain thoughout the sketch and is the one they return to each time. 1:05 Green Grow the Rushes O (I think) 1:27 Blaydon Races 2:23 ? 3:04 ? 3:30 Sing a Song Of Sixpence 4:20 The Lincolnshire Poacher
+Paula Andrews - Hi Paula. Can you tell me which this pub is and where, please? Do you happen to know which pack of hounds were featured in the film? This video appeared on my Facebook page, posted by the great jockey, Bob Champion, in memory of Ronnie Corbett.
@@Jill.Hellary Oh - I heard it was filmed at ''The Huntsman'' in Goose Green. It certainly looks like it (I live about a mile away) Though in fairness I can see a certain Northaw-ness about it aswell!
Another excellent attempt by the Two Ronnies, but the problem is that whereas Barker is almost completely convincing as an upper-class twit - both his accent and his face - Corbett (very funny chap though he was in most roles) is completely unconvincing.
+Crap Shit That's a plausible theory, but he's not some Englishman imitating an American accent: he really is American! Not impossible that an American could be running a pub in England, but it does sound unnatural.
+Crap Shit Because his accent is absolutely spot-on. I could be wrong, of course: he could be a British actor doing a very good imitation of an American accent. I've worked with numerous Americans for over 30 years, and I have a good ear for accents. I think I could spot an imitation.
what a lot of rubbish trying to make comedy out of blood sports! U have gone right off this pair, what is their idea to promote such stuff! well what a waste of time
+purdy It's a tradition going back 400+ year's. Foxes are a menace to farmers, not to armchair people that push papers around all day. I wonder what fox would taste like with some gravy or a good hollandaise sauce. Liberals, go suck on a British Gov. confiscated gun & have some fox beforehand.
No, fox hunting in the UK really doesn't have anything to do with population control, it's just to provide sadistic entertainment for senile inbred aristocrats. It's fucking inefficient and you can't do anything useful with the dead fox after it's been mauled by dogs, horses and mentally retarded barons. Regards, an avid hunter from rural Finland
No fox hunting has nothing to do with human populations control. I've had beloved canine friends since I was a baby. A fox, wolf or coyote, they're vermin. Can vermin and man live together? Answer that question when mice get into your house and do damage.
All very true, no doubt, but what's it got to do with a very funny sketch by two of the most talented comedians ever to grace British TV? In case you aren't familiar with their shows, I think I ought to point out that they took the piss out of EVERYONE and every scenario, including the shudderingly embarrassing Black & White Minstrel Show, the Nazis, you name it. Everything was fair game, and thank goodness for that.
Hilarious as always! Very cleverly written 😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅❤❤👍🤗👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It's so upper-class, but so catchy at the same time
Only the Two Ronnies could pull off such a musical sketch
Yep.
Are upper class and catchy supposed to be mutually exclusive?

Tally ho and toodle pip old chum! 😂🤣 Classic Two Ronnies.
Love it.
Very jolly! Great fun :D
I read somewhere in my younger years : The Englishman galloping after the fox ; the unspeakable, in full pursuit of the unedible (sic) 😀

Keep the sound of hounds going
Fantastical 🤗

DieFlabbergast i see your point but it's just a silly clip not serious !

Thanks for this.funny as fk
Why is the pub landlord an American?
+DieFlabbergast I think it's supposed to be a West Country accent. Sounds terrible.

Don't play this in Baltimore

Bring back fox hunting to England! Before your know it cousins, you won't be allowed to poop without permission. You need another Oliver Cromwell.

Arsehole.
You know that Cromwell banned sports, right? And also music and theatre? This whole clip would be criminal, according to old Nolly.

Just because they are pests doesn't mean they deserve to be killed in such a brutal way in the name of sport.
