Absolutely brilliant entertainment. I wonder just how many takes it took to piece it all together. I love every skit these two did together. I really don't think any other duo has come close. Miss both of them.
A fantastic piece of comedy. If I want a good laugh I 'dip' into here to watch it. NEVER fail to make me smile. What EVER anyone else says, I think it's timeless.

This is simply superb. "The chap with the cello's a terrible fellow and frequently mellow on liquor and drinks, He bothers the fiddles with juvenile riddles and beats the trombonist at tiddlywinks," was my personal favourite bit.
Wonderful to see the boys having fun, especially the wordsmith Ronnie Barker. I have at home ' Hooked on classics/Journey through the Classics/Can't stop the Classics' on Vinyl/Audio Tape & CD. Wonder if anyone else has the same!.
One of my favourite musical numbers. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart never scored a goal for Wolverhampton, Sousa was a boozer and Gounod had a you know. Brilliant rhyming and timing.

Thought this was brilliant when I saw it as a child. Actually it's crap. Badly written, badly performed - Ron C looks very uncomfortable throughout - and obviously (and badly) edited together from dozens of takes. Written by Ron B, I think, but not at his best. Michael Flanders did a far better job of setting spoof words to the Mozart horn concerto too.
@@rogerstoryteller It's just the Genius of Ronnie B. He was a wonderful comedian, (Does't get enough credit for being a Great comedy sketch writer) Most just think he was an Actor that performed Comedy.
Check out a piece from the two Ronnie called Tooting Carmen (a parody of Bizet’s “carmen”) and another called The Boys in The Ballet (a humorous attempt at Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite)
Pure genius. We need their humour more than ever today.
Bravo! Perfect diction, musicality and side-splitting humour all in one. A never to be forgotten pair of multi-talented comic geniuses.

it's one thing to come up with the words to go along with the music, but to memorize and sing them with such precision is truly amazing to behold.

The Two Ronnies had a long run on TV for many years, as two of Britain's funniest comedians. Brilliant work here, as always.
Brilliantly written and performed. I so miss the Two Ronnies.
Can’t believe I am just discovering these guys...this was brilliant!
Same here. They were geniuses!
Fantastic writing! I heard this once, 35 years ago and I still sing "nuts to the Albert Hall" every time I hear that tune.
One of their funniest sketches ever. Simply brilliant.
I can't believe I am only just seeing this for the first time. Fabulous writing and impeccable delivery
Innocent fun that is sadly missing today. I used not to like Ronnie Corrbetts big chair monolog but later on I enjoyed it all the better!
Simply amazing light-hearted comedy talent.
I bet that nobody had more fun than the orchestra!
Absolutely hilarious! Made my day! Thank you so much for sharing.
Thanks for this, needed a laugh this morning 💜💜💜💜More please!!!! Loved the Two Ronnie's and always will xxx

Entertaining comedy. Clever pastiche on the Hooked on Classics popularity of the period. Great performances and wit
Sign of the times of the early 1980s. A whole orchestra all male musicians
Ronnie Barker wrote so many things....many of them under other peoples names. A genious and a gentelman.
I love how they use real musicians in these sketches
Very entertaing these two Ronnies comedies at the same time very hilarious.
Oh, God. These two were so cute!!
Truly talented and well missed
Hooked on THE TWO RONNIES CLASSICS!
something most comedy is lacking these days true talent like the two Ronnies.
Brilliant!
Hilariously funny! Just think of it. To be able to "play" in or with a real symphony orchestra! Must have been a sensational feeling!
Its a pity no one knows what the classic pieces were.

Anyone know what piece of music “Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart never scored a goal for Wolverhampton” is originally?
Dance of sugar plum Fairy
It's from Tchaikovsky's ballet "The Nutcracker Suite", I think the segment is called "The flower ballet".
It's the Dance of the Mirlitons from the Nutcracker.
