    Still use 9x1 or 7x1 in Ireland just lay it on top of the rafters then run timber up the edges to nail a batton to...

    Have you tried marking one to get the angle then measuring between each truss in one hit and cutting everything down below in one go to save going back and forward?

      @ashleydavenport3794  11 месяцев назад

      Haven’t tried that one no! Sounds like it would be good tho! 🤔👌

      Should be all same size IF truss centres the same 😛@@denty32

    that's al lot of intertwined timber action compared to other roofs sir, is there a specific name for this type of roof ?

    • @ashleydavenport3794
      @ashleydavenport3794  5 месяцев назад +1

      This is a truss roof, pre made trusses held together and braced with 4x1 timber. I’ve got more videos going into detail about how we do all aspects of the roof! Cheers for your comment

    Surely we’re nailing a batten to truss rather than the big bearer up the valley? Obvs the dream is when the roofer/ site asks for neither and they throw the grp in raw😅

    • @ashleydavenport3794
      @ashleydavenport3794  4 месяца назад

      Hahaha that would be the dream! I think it’s more to support the grp than a nailing point but yeah annoying job either way 🤣

      No mate, but the ply is 18mm so got to inset it. Sometimes the roof packs come with 6mm ply and we can lay it over the top
