I am glad that you got that guy saying 'just don't point it out' about the damage. Any damages, after it gets loaded on your truck, could be blamed on you and/or your company, and you would be at fault.
How nice it is to see a woman do a job that is generally intended for men, my mother was a very spiritually strong and enterprising woman, seeing this girl reminds me of my mother, daughter, may God accompany you on those paths, give you health, blessings and success.
As someone who works in the hvac industry, the damage on that unit didnt seem that bad but it would need to have a closer inspection to make sure the tubing that runs through those fins wasnt damaged. Also the line of trucks is so long because those are rooftop units for commercial buildings and they are in extremely high demand. Its next to impossible to get those. Some companies have been waiting 2 years to get their units replaced.
He said something about a part showing and it could leak, I’m not sure but the guy didn’t seem too confident in them accepting the load, it more likely would’ve been rejected and my fault lol 😂

I’m trying to get my permit back. My mom got sick so it expired., my kids are grown and thought I’m out of shape to do it but you’re encouraging and I thank you! I know what I have to do heath wise. I’ve always been a tomboy and I’m a daddy’s girl. He has been truck driving since before I was born. He stepped out on faith one day and got his own truck. This is why I’m a daddy’s girl, he never finished 8th grade.

Plus, on air conditioning units and other products the shipper has a set place required to strap or you'll damage the product. And u might lose a few pounds and have muscles appear u never knew existed. Peace

As a former tower climber, I second this comment. They have to be borderline uncomfortably tight. I’ve seen a few nasty injuries on others as a result of their harness not being so.

Agree. We always were given the little emergency step straps for post fall protection. Harnesses can kill so easy if you’re not properly trained and follow the safety instructions
I was a flatbed steel hauler out of Chicago and I loved it. I thought I would do that for the rest of my career. Now because of changes in the economy since COVID I had to start something new. Now I deliver to McDonalds and at first I didn’t like it. Now I love it and won’t go back to flatbed. I can’t stand shipping and receiving and don’t need to deal with that anymore
Hey Becka, what ever happened to those shredded tarps when had to switch trailers back before the holidays? If they're trash you might could cut one side of it if it were ok to be a short tarp so you don't have to keep pulling two tarps out for only needing a couple feet.

Just got my permits.with tankers & double endorsement. But on only had my regular driver license for a year in 4months. Now I’m ready do my road test & pre trip .will only having my license for a year & 4 months stop me from doing my road test & trip test to get my cdls
I usually set goal daily base revenue, cuz if I run 1000 mile for 2.99 delivery after 3 days? That is less than $1,000 per day and it is not really happy run over monthly round. So I suggest never forget to calculate daily gross.

They said it was my Drag link! But boss man says it’s under warranty so we will be getting it fixed at a freightliner when I’m back! Also my dm/broker gets my loads for me I don’t get to look at a load board at all by myself and pick. They get chosen for me sadly and they are usually the best loads for what’s available in the area I’m at, at the time.
That harnesses is pretty cool. I have a friend who was a hay hauler he fell and landed on his back/head. He was in a comma for months woke up but he’s all fucked up. Lost everything in tha accident. He had just gotten his brand new Pete too.Stay safe

I've done heavy haul for 10 yrs then moved up to hauing l liquid nitrogen. but love doing heavy haul it was great .then left driving 18 wheelers moved up to driving the biggest truck that cat trucks makes is the 797 haul truck in the mine industry loved it that was my favorite truck no one would try to play chicken with me cause they will loose it's like running over a rock you dont feel nothing untill it happens

U are doing a very good job an u can be very proud of yourself there are not many ladies out there that will do that kind of work. Your dad can be very proud of you. I never did flatbed work but I haul tankers all over the country and I know how it feels to drag the hoses around and I can just imagine how hard her it it is to throw them tops over the loads all the time that you need to keep up the good work and you can be proud of the job you are doing don’t ever let anyone tell you anything different and also I love the two dogs that you have for a company don’t ever let anybody cut you down keep up the good work and don’t change a damn thing…………

Princess, if you spray the wheels with line-x or apply epoxy resin or polyurethane on the trucks tires from side to side like stripes would that help make the tires last longer with you and help save money and if there was a whole a puncture in a tire it can be fixed with it after doing the classical way of fixing the whole/puncture in tire?.
They require it at the place I was picking up from, they have a sign saying if you do not wear the harness you will be unloaded and asked to leave lol.
That harness it on a cable that would not give if you did fall and could hurt you more than a fall from the trailer... that should be a bungy not a cable so there is some give and you can stretch it out and jump into the air and fly around the area like peter pan. 😁

U are doing a very good job an u can be very proud of yourself there are not many ladies out there that will do that kind of work. Your dad can be very proud of you. I never did flatbed work but I haul tankers all over the country and I know how it feels to drag the hoses around and I can just imagine how hard her it it is to throw them tops over the loads all the time that you need to keep up the good work and you can be proud of the job you are doing don’t ever let anyone tell you anything different and also I love the two dogs that you have for a company don’t ever let anybody cut you down keep up the good work and don’t change a damn thing…………

Princess, if you spray the wheels with line-x or apply epoxy resin or polyurethane on the trucks tires from side to side like stripes would that help make the tires last longer with you and help save money and if there was a whole a puncture in a tire it can be fixed with it after doing the classical way of fixing the whole/puncture in tire?.

That’s a hella of a good tarp job… even if you had to take a major lil detour. Stay safe out there girl.
For future reference, OSHA does not require you to wear a harness on a mobile platform, such as your trailer.
They require it at the place I was picking up from, they have a sign saying if you do not wear the harness you will be unloaded and asked to leave lol.
It may not be OSHA but shipper can tell you too for insurance purposes....

That harness it on a cable that would not give if you did fall and could hurt you more than a fall from the trailer... that should be a bungy not a cable so there is some give and you can stretch it out and jump into the air and fly around the area like peter pan. 😁
