Becca , one of your best videos to date. If I was a fleet owner you could drive any tractor you wanted hooked up to a step deck. Your attitude is like none other. You rise above it all. Your a great team player, and you can be counted on to get the job done. So glad you switched jobs. I know after you got a few loads under your belt, or should I say panties this new place, ART, will be very impressed with you. Way to go girl. Have a great and a beautiful safe day. Happy motoring and happy trails. Your a star in my book Becca.
Look Big Rig Becca, your always be the sunshine ☀ in my life! Without you I'm nothing, but with you I'm the whole thing. If I had a business, you'll run the show and you need to know that. But in the mean time, I'm incarcerated and have a journey ahead of me, and that journey is to get out to get next to you. Until may God bless you continously for your future events. Peace out.
I give yall win. Sorry for appearing to be creepy. Just like enjoying praising, where I feel praising is worth the praises. She's my motivation, strength, and uplifting to my spirit
Just found this channel by chance, and I'm so impressed. Here we have a REAL young woman living her dream, with more determination and passion than most. Becca earns respect every day and a big thank you for sharing your adventures with us. Safe travels !
I notice in this particular trucking industry, drivers are always willing to help other drivers, helping with trap or strapping etc. Really good brother and sisterhood! A lot like bikers, that comradery of riding a motorcycle, fellow riders are always helpful and its sort of thing if you see a bike pulled over solo you should pull over and check if they are okay. Great content, congrats on the new company!
22:33 perfect timing, my good man. 👍 thank you! You have no reason to doubt yourself, Becca. You’ve got more grit & guts than most people can dream of.
Thanks! Hey Becca this chris from Bakersfield ca . Good luck with all your endeavors I enjoy your videos and all that kick ass experience your getting . I'm a public works worker in kern county again stay safe out there old guys rule 10-4 .
In my experience, most of the aluminum/steel coil shippers don’t allow metal edge protection. My company uses felt strips. I feel those work best because usually your felt strip will be long and wide enough to cover all of your chains. You end up using only two felt pieces rather than using 10-14 separate edge protectors. Good job on the coils, just wait until you have to tarp coils loaded eyes to the sky.
Looked like you secured everything right for your first coil. One thing you gotta remember tho about unsecuring is it’s best to undo all the outside chains first and the center one last bc the coils can literally jump off the racks when you release the binders.
Hi becca really pleased to see ur back ur probably feeling better cause ur not stressed off ur other job I love ur dogs zeke is mint and benji is a sheep good luck xx
I have my own trucking company, and although I should have already got my CDL - I’m finally going to take the leap of faith. I have a flatbed company and I’ve been putting it off because I’m intimidated by it. BUT YOU! LITERALLY JUST PUT A FIRE UNDER MY TAIL! I feel much more confident that I can do it. Girl power! I knew I would pass because I’m a smart and determined person, but I’m going to work that flatbed. Okay! Shouts to you girl!
When you fold your top hook one side to the trailer with bungees as tight as you can and then just go to the other side and pull it straight out. Saves you a lot of walking in circles
Always been interested to see the ins and outs of the truck driving profession. Your videos provide great insight into the realities of life on the road as a company driver. Thank you and I wish you and your dogs the best!
Be very careful about on-ramps and off-ramps. A coil load like that has a very high center of gravity. It will flip you upside-down in the ditch real easy if your to fast through the turns/bends.
Good to see you back out there I didn't expect you to still be pulling flatbed but your good at it and it obviously pays well or you wouldn't be working your butt off. Happy travels with the new company stay safe 🙏
Been trucking OTR almost 32 years. Pulling 53' reefers just over 26 years. A few years into reefers, the company needed to expand faster than they could buy trailers. So the rented some. At the time, they could only rent 48s. Man, I had so much trouble backing the 48s. Never pulled flats or spread axles. Hats off to you.
Intresting. I've been thinking about going towards flatbed. I started out dry then doing reefers now for about a year. I love it. However, I dont know jack shit about load securement or flatbedding.
@Edward Antrobus Jr See, now that is what I heard. That is so weird. Cant you raise up one of the axles? Making it easier to turn? Otherwise how the hell do you park in a truck stop? Most of those place are freakn 90 degree backs.
Some trailers have a lift axle, some have sliding tandems like a dry van. Middle and back axle slide together equals "closed" pivot like a dry van at that point
Thanks the great vids. I used to drive long haul until the 2000s. Know all about the work strapping heavy hauls in all weathers. You gots to love the new trucks ! My gosh, even AC was a crazy luxury we dreamed about.
What happen after your first video with new trucking company. You have not posted any more videos are you still sick? Just wondering been looking, but nothing is on line is it possible you could give me a hint when your next one might be up thank you be safe.
So enjoy your can do attitude. I enjoy your just being real. I have some trucker friends and can't say they would haul some of what you have. And things don't always go well. Your new ride looks pretty good. And driving seems to have a proper amount of caution. Seems the pups enjoy there part time home. I hate to say it but "giter done Becca"
As others have said, FMCSA requirement is one rack per 10k, racks need to be placed within the width of the coil, so that the weight is right on top. Tell the company to get you a 3 or even 4 piece lumber tarp with 8ft drops. That one is a 2 piece tarp, too big of pain in the ass. On coils always go extra on the chains. It's a cheap insurance policy on your butt. Overall great job, Beks! 👍🏻 see you on the road
Hey Becca this is probably too late. But you need to set your 4 by 4 and your coil racks before you go in that building. That way You are set up and ready to drop the coil in the coil. Rex. Also put. Your coil racks in the middle of your trailer. Your term syndrome is on the side of your trailer. They are usually the middle mark of your trailer
I haul coils on B-trains I invested in coil tarps… best invention since the wheel. Definitely worth the money. Be safe out there young lady. By the way nice job tarping
Hi Becca love watching your videos one because you always have a smile on your face . I am like you i get nervous when i have new things to do in my work i came over it by just not bothering what other people think i was told just do your best . Please don’t let people put you down . Keep up the amazing work . Watching from the U.K.
So you went to the truck stop on 59 and 70. I used to drive for a company out of Brazil and that used to be a nice truck stop but it really gone downhill same for Cloverdale truck stop if you are over there again go to the restaurant that is catty-corner right next to the gas station you can park there and it has really good food.
Lol, I run on dunkins too. FYI, there was one not far from you at the loves in sikeston. Much respect to you for throwin chains. I'll stick to my hopper.
Great video Becca. I'm a driver lic examiner for a state DOT. I'm seeing many Women coming in to earn CDL operator licenses. Some of the companies are ferventley recruiting Women. This is great!
A trucker from the UK here. I mainly haul steel coils on slidaflex trailer or euroliner curtainsided trailer which sit into a well. I hate carrying coils on a flatbed trailer as I've seen what it can do when it goes wrong. Only thing is, we strap coils with straps, not chains 😅. But the way we strap them, they go nowhere. Anyway, stay safe out there 😀
Hi 👋 Becca, it looks like to me that everything is working out well between you and ART. Hope to see more videos from you, I enjoyed this one here. Peace ☮️ over and out.
Good job on your securement just a piece of advice would be to help you rolling your tarp is fold it in half before you roll it up to make it easier on you. Keep up the great work
There are too many people today that would be bitching and moaning and I bet quitting if the company wanted them to do that. So I'm glad to see you getting the job done
I heard you mention getting used to the table in your truck, not sure if you know but passenger seat should swivel around to the table, may be helpful.
Thats actually a beautiful tarp job for someone whos never tarped one ive seen guys with years of exp do worse jobs so ill give it 8/10 job an awesome video an Hi Puppys 🐕
Feel better & hope the new company you are working for is great for you . 3 hr dead head …… man big respect to the AMERICAN HARDWORKING PROFESSIONAL TRUCK DRIVERS. SALUTE

When I can't get that shower, I carry plenty of wipes. I love this flatbed side of the business. I've only been doing this a little over six months now.
Hi Becca . I'm Skippy from NJ. Thank you for doing what you do keeping our goods running. Glad you like the new rig. Those antibiotics are rough. My Dr has me on Cipro bc my white counts are high. I have crohns disease. How do you like the yellow red bull? I usually get the watermelon. I tried the new juneberry flavor it's pretty good. 😊 my stepfather was a trucker. Sorry for babling lol . Best of luck with the new company.
Love having coil loads if able to choose between eye to side or shotgun I always go shotgun so I don’t have to use the lumber tarp just the 6 ft steel tarp. Work for Maverick for a year good flatbed company learned how to secure steel and aluminum along with lumber and other materials. Only problem is you can’t have pets in the truck.
This brought back a memory. I unsecured a binder once while unloading a coil and I wasn't paying attention.. of course.. and it slammed open with the handle flipping out and hitting my knee lol. For whatever reason had to get up close to lever it open and bam lol. That pain was prob worst I've ever experienced. Just sat there for a few but had to finish and thankfully was going home just an hour away so had to just do it. My knee is hurting now thinking about it lol. Pay attention to where your limbs are!!!😂
Bang gears smoke deers use a blanket if you ever don't have edge protection and get a coil tarp way easier to throw and make sure your chains aren't twisted when you throw through the eye binders will come loose.
Them coils like that will cut a trap up, you can find something like a old blanket cut it in the length and width of a coil put it on top of the coil to save you the issue of having holes in your trap
Becca , have you thought about getting a jump suit or cover alls while laoding and unloading your trailer? That would help keep your clothes a little cleaner. Just a thought

Love how you bounced right back and so quick..dont take any crap!.you go girl!
I would recommend getting more coil racks, for a coil like that you will need at least 4 coil racks
Damn girl, you wrapped that coil like a boss! Nice job!
Looks good!.. ❤good job❤ congratulations

2 coil racks for the first 10k lbs and 1 rack for each 10k lbs after. Coils get easier and 35k is a pretty good first one to haul. Good job!

Give you a tip. When hauling coils. Pull over and give them a check every once in awhile or whenever you stop. Be safe out there driver.
Nice truck your doin a great job proud of you woman
This is why you should have a rider with ya to help fold that heavy ass tarp up 😆 💪 💪
Hi BRB, just thought I`d let you know that those "edge protectors", we call em chevrons down here in Oz n` NZ, cheers
When showers are hard to come by, baby wipes really come through mam👍Also that Coil was wrapped like candy, great job
Darn, good tarp job for the first 35k coil!😊

Hi Becca are you able to disclose the RPM and what you get paid for the loads? Thanks! Nice to see you again with anew company!
