Word from the wise - I drove for a company in 2005 that was stealing money from my pay. My friend told me to contact Department of Labor and file a complaint. Long story short - I got back all the money that was stolen from me. You should do the same. Trucking can wear you out in the beginning, but consider this as part of learning.

Hey woman truck driver here. I’ve been driving since I was 21 I’m 26 now. I’ve learned throughout my trucking experience that’s just the way the game is. I’ve been wronged by my own team, which took me some time to process. Some of us that know we are consistent we don’t F around we get the job done in a timely and safe manner are simply underpaid. Two people in my life have given me valuable information. Once you’ve given your all to a company there will be a point where you realize you have outgrown it and it’s time to move on. it’s just business. You just have to make a conscious decision in asking yourself am I going to stay where I’m comfortable or am I going to continue to move forward and bet on myself because the only thing you can be sure of is yourself. Take your time out there. Meditate. Keep moving forward. Your doing great 💙
( A message to all drivers, drive with Pride professionalism is what’s missing on the road. remember, no matter how fast you drive the GPS arrival time will not change. Be kind to each other we’re all just trying to get our job done. 💙 )

Hey Becca, if your not getting satisfaction with your final paycheck issues…Delgado Logistics is in Rockwell county which has a small claims limit up to $20k. Filing a Claim against them for wages, chargebacks etc is pretty simple and much can be done online, low cost and adjudicated quickly by the county court.

Great advice! There may be punitive damages or treble damages too when you short people on compensation. So maybe read about consumer law protections in Texas.
Sad that they tried to gaslight Becca while “making up non-existent fees or reductions” to reduce compensation (that she earned). Too bad they can’t tell the truth and explain rates are down and they have to try and cut expenses, to stay in business.
Becca will do fine! She’s got the skilz…

Personally, I think you should take your skills, experience and solid work ethic to a company that will value you. And there ARE plenty of other companies out there that would benefit from hiring you Becca! Go get 'em :-)!

      YES, MICH.
I did back breaking work at my Job with the local government. ( Sidewalk replacement & blacktop repairs, crack sealing) But was too far in my Retirement system to change jobs. So Stuck with it to get early out. Those jobs are a young person type job. I bought the Backhoe I ❤ to operate back in 1979. It is a 190 Dynahoe. Bucyrus Erie got out of building them in the mid 1980s. I also bought a 1971 SeaGrave Fire Engine 🚒 both are Restoration project for my Retirement. I remember ( Mike Stoker) the only real FF from show Emergency. Even though it's not a CROWN. I just ❤ the SeaGrave look for time period growing up. So in Retirement I can use my personal Backhoe for whatever I do dirt wise. Don't have some EGO tripping Supervisor hounding me. The SeaGrave ( this might sound corny) I think of myself as Mike Stoker driving her. Its a 5 speed with power plant and old Detroit Diesel 8V-71
My Dynahoe has a Detroit Diesel 353. I ❤ having kids get in the cab of SeaGrave at a public event. The Mayor of the town grew up in ❤ my Engine. I led a kiddy Parade with her. Sorry for the long winded but my point is, I ❤ doing this in Retirement.

Keep at it. For the first about 6-7 years of my trucking career I drove for something like 7-8 companies (including owing my own truck and leasing it for a while) until I found the right company for me, and I stayed there for over 31 years. I know that sounds impossible in the trucking industry, but that is what worked for me. I was very happy driving there (except, of course, for all the ice and snow I had do drive through) and they treated me well and paid me well. Good luck. Good drivers are hard to find these days!

No these company's won't be appreciative to have a trucker with exceptional skills! I pulled my truck off the road for 2 months in 2023. My intent was to sale the truck and apply for local or regional Company Driver employment.
A few things I found out were-
      1. Most Companies lie by posting local/regional jobs only to lure you into a OTR position.
      2. Most day cab local jobs require the driver to drive and unload freight.
      3. Last and important is, when I would post that I had dispatched, check broker credit using factoring agent apps, negotiated freight rates, submitted bol info for detention and or layover pay and other administrative duties along with 17 years otr/ regional experience and a perfect dot safety record, they hated that and would go into undermining mode to render my total skills insignificant. Out of 20+ big Companies I applied with, 18 were hating my additional skills to the max!

You'll be fine on your new journey tho. I hope the new company you go with respects and treats you properly. Keep the updates coming! Keep ya head up 🙌🏽💯

You now have experience, you can go work anywhere in the trucking industry. I bounced around from job to job for my first 12 years as a driver until I found where I’m at now. I got a local gig home every day with weekends and holidays off, making close to 100k as a company driver. Been here 13 years and I’ll be retired by the end of the year. Keep your driving record clean and don’t stop looking until you find what you really like, you’ll be alright. Hope to see more videos from you soon
