Across the pond it’s been a good week for Giles Scott. After taking over the F50 reins from boss Sir Ben Ainslie, the double Olympic gold medallist has taken his first SailGP victory at the helm of Emirates GBR. Something to do with the British weather in Halifax, Nova Scotia?
SailGP next moves across to the notoriously fickle venue of New York, which also saw the IMOCA fleet set out on the return trip across the Atlantic in the New York Vendée Race. Team Malizia skipper Boris Herrmann and Charlie Dalin surprised many by opting for a very northern route.

Sheeshk, it wasn't that cold in Halifax. Saturday wasn't St. Tropez in August but it was quite pleasant to be on the boat. Sunday was windy and a bit dampish (ok, it poured at times) but it's Canada!
