Dystopia 2029 from Kf2 made me realize this game would totally benefit from a campaign exploring zeds and Horzine. Bring back kf 1 atmosphere plz and dont add imaginary weapons ... kf2 was good but kf1 is your best game open maps west london and more serious game overall
People will probably tell you that "kf2 has the better gameplay" but it's wrong. Kf2 has a more streamlined, easier to understand and player friendly gameplay which is fine, but kf1 is much more in depth as you need to manage your carry weight, movement speed, money etc. It's more limited at first glance but it incentives teamwork because unlike kf2 you can be a one man god living the power trip, the game's filled with hrg weapons and perks have lost their meaning. In kf1 all perks have a role to play, strengths and weaknesses. That's all I got to say, also kf1 has better maps and atmosphere etc etc. TLDR KF1 has more of a tactical gameplay while kf2 goes for the arcade approach.
Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents if theres any chance at all it influences how yall make the game. I actually preferred the more “sci fi” direction of KF2 over the more “horror” focused 1. A middle ground would be fantastic I think
I ADORED Killing Floor 1. The sequel, however, just didn't hit the same for me. Anyone here can go right ahead and call me a nostalgiafriend, but ... like, I don't even know how to say it. KF1 just hit every nail on the head. Gun sounds, zed design (all of it was good!), and scuffed custom maps were awesome too. I really hope Tripwire goes back to it's roots. Designs do not have to be over the top and ridiculous (KF2 Patriarch?..). KF1 Patriarch was menacing as hell because he still looked human, but performed crimes against humanity and even experimented on himself. The real horror there was how humanoid he still looked, despite having monstrous new abilities. His soundtrack is also one of the best things I have ever heard in any boss fights (Abandon All). Despite my jaded opinions, I wish everyone the best.
Really wish they tapped into the creepier and eerier horror vibe of the original Unreal KF1 mod. It's not like I hate the direction KF2 went and what KF3 is going for but there's just a lot of wasted potential for not going for and never tapping the original mod's creepy art direction.
God i miss that KF1 grindhouse survival horror feel, i wish these games would revisit that style but i guess sci fi is the direction they want to go in :(
People sing KF1’s praise, and I enjoyed it as well, but I have far more hours into 2. KF2 is my fave, and I hope 3 doesn’t lose the utter chaos that 2 was able to produce.
Recuerdo que en su momento (2012) sentia el horror y lo tétrico de cada enemigo. Es bellisimo pertenecer a este juego a lo largo de mi pre adolescencia hasta estos dias siendo un adulto joven
Thanks for showing early prototype footage, so cool Got me hyped even more and @ 3:57 looks like the blockout of West London, can't wait to play KF3 ! 😄
I really hope they focus a little more on the horror aspect of the game like KF1, darkest map where you need to use your flaslight more and stay closer with your team.
Having dark areas that need a flashlight are great, as it can be a risk for a reward in taking a shortcut or escaping a horde, but having the whole map be so dark you need to be flicking your flashlights on and off would be a little silly and frustrating
KF 1 is like one of the best multiplayer survival horror , and it 100% works on singleplayer too , the fact that you can't run faster and u see all of those enemies getting closer and closer is scary AF. I hope KF3 can do that too , have that feeling of hopeless
The best part of killing floor games and what really set them apart from lfd imo is the deep class system. There really wasnt any other coop horde shooter with so many distinct classes that each brought so much to the team. Melee classes were also very well done
I think personally what I enjoyed about kf2 over kf1 and other games is that difficulty scaled in a unique way to give the enemies more variety in moveset, as opposed to just becoming huge bullet sponges, like husks suddenly become a billion times more lethal
I found kf2 when I was 10 and haven’t stopped playing since, the hype I have for the next game is unimaginable! This will be the only thing I’ll be playing
The story behind KF1 is so awesome. The KF franchise is an awesome success story for those guys. Super neat they are still with the team, which is rare with studios. BEYOND HYPED for KF3 lets gooooooooo

Really wish they tapped into the creepier and eerier horror vibe of the original Unreal KF1 mod. It's not like I hate the direction KF2 went and what KF3 is going for but there's just a lot of wasted potential for not going for and never tapping the original mod's creepy art direction.
I can't wait! I hope they do more than just horde mode this time. They could give us the Left 4 Dead successer that Back 4 Blood should've been.
I'm really curious to see what the soundtrack will be like. KF2's soundtrack was so good with all the incensed tracks.
i would love to see an extended podcast on this, and the creation of all the games
Loved KF since the release of the 1st, really hope 3 can live up to this series legacy.
Killing floor 3 NEEDS to have a campaign/ story mode
Please bring back the gritty vibe of KF1
KF2 was my first introduction to the Killing floor franchise Loved the Gameplay experience and the map designs are so good.
This team is amazing, I'm looking forward to seeing more awesome developments!
Happy anniversary!
So excited! Can't believe it's been this many years since I first started playing kf!
Thanks for showing early prototype footage, so cool
Got me hyped even more and @ 3:57 looks like the blockout of West London, can't wait to play KF3 ! 😄
i immediately noticed that and the little bridge tunnel. really hoping west london makes a comeback
0:35 dark and gritty🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣
Mr.FOSTER! HIT THE GRIDDY
I really hope they focus a little more on the horror aspect of the game like KF1, darkest map where you need to use your flaslight more and stay closer with your team.
Dying from something you couldn't see was the most frustrating thing, especially when playing on high difficulty. Not sure about that
Having dark areas that need a flashlight are great, as it can be a risk for a reward in taking a shortcut or escaping a horde, but having the whole map be so dark you need to be flicking your flashlights on and off would be a little silly and frustrating
Like that hallway that lead to the trader in West london
Still playing and buying some of the cool weapons you guys added to Killing Floor 2, keep up the great work! Can't wait for Killing Floor 3!
KF 1 is like one of the best multiplayer survival horror , and it 100% works on singleplayer too , the fact that you can't run faster and u see all of those enemies getting closer and closer is scary AF.
I hope KF3 can do that too , have that feeling of hopeless
Ew KF1 shill
KF2 would be so much scarier and more fun if they removed players ability to sprint.
3:55 new zed?
I'm thinking it's the new Husk. It had a right arm cannon. It seems like now it will charge at the player to blow up with them when it loses its head.
@demonico917 yeap I agree 😄
@@demonico917 Or maybe headshot doesn't stop mid-charge Husk from blowing up?
Really put some importance about blowing the backpack
At minute 3:30 I think there's a new Zed, it can't be the fleshpund because its complection is very different, it looks more like a very big quadruped
alredy in whishlist! Happy anniversary KILLING FLOOR!
J'ai tellement hâte de découvrir ce 3ème Killing Floor !!!
KF is definitely a cult hit, only a few human specimens actually appreciate the beauty of this game. Hopefully the 3rd one will bring in more people
I found kf2 when I was 10 and haven’t stopped playing since, the hype I have for the next game is unimaginable! This will be the only thing I’ll be playing
Really been hoping for the KF1 horror vibes
The story behind KF1 is so awesome. The KF franchise is an awesome success story for those guys. Super neat they are still with the team, which is rare with studios. BEYOND HYPED for KF3 lets gooooooooo
recently me and my friend got into killing floor and the timing couldn't be more perfect
God so damn nostalgic. Man time flies by
Would like an actual campaign this time.
I really loved the dark and gritty aspect when playing kf1 in my early teens. Now I’m 27 and I really miss the feeling that game gave me. Please bring that back ❤
Pls make for killing floor 3 some of the old kf1 maps. Manor, west London, biolabs, etc. These are Memories!
Seeing this feels like a early birthday present
I remember trying to get the dollhouse map as a kid on the original killing floor AND IT WAS DOPE. just bought kf2 AND im crying for kf3
Wow, talk about stepping things up! *rubs hands* Time for another reaction video. Thanks!! Happy anniversary KF. It's been a wild, wild ride which by the looks of it, is about to get wilder. Congrats!
This gets me so hyped yall have come so far cant wait to play! ❤👍
PLEASE MAKE KF3 DARK AND GRITTY LIKE KF1
You know people are pumped when we go crazy about the blockout footage lol
