Hello Rokan Moschus, thanks for taking your time to leave a comment. TEACH-NOW certification program leads to employment, and not college degree. Or did you mean getting a teaching job at a college?
This is really awesome. I started thinking about becoming a teacher the day you posted this video. I saw your video the next day. Helluva coincidence! Thank you!
Thank you so much for spotlighting Moreland University's TEACH-NOW Program! I would love to know more about how your work in the TEACH-NOW program has impacted your career and teaching journey.
@@edtechii This is my goal. I've worked as a teacher here in the U.S., in Asia and in Europe. While teaching in Virginia, I taught under a provisional license, but now I'm ready to get a teacher's license. My intention is to teach in Europe long term.
Thank you for the very informative video! If you don’t mind, I would like to ask you two questions. First, In order to do the teaching sessions during the program, would I have to be already teaching in a school, or will the program connect me with a school? Second, will I have to go to the States in order to take any tests, for example, a praxis exam for the license, or would I be certified after completing the program without having to go to States? Thank you!
Hello Paul Cha, how are you? Thanks for your comment and questions. Question 1: While you don't have to be teaching in a school to complete the program, during the final and the longest module of the program you will be required to conduct and record your lessons to demonstrate your competency in pedagogy and required teaching standards. When I was doing the program, some teachers, who did not have access to real classroom, had their demo lessons done with nephews, friends' children etc. So long as you have a real audience, you should be fine. The situation might have changed since the time I took the course, please double check this directly with the institution. Question 2: You don't have to travel to the US to complete the program. Both FBI background check and PRAXIS exams can be done from overseas. PRAXIS test centers and dates: www.ets.org/praxis/register/dates_centers/ FBI background check: www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks I hope this information will help you move forward with your plan. Feel free to ask more questions - I'll try to help. Have a good one!
Evgenii Permiakov Wow, thank you very much for such a kind reply. It helps a lot! So a praxis exam is a must for both State of Arizona and the District of Colombia?
@@paulcha6786 No problem at all. PRAXIS exams vary from state to state. You've got to check license requirements for each state separately. A colleague of mine recently received her teaching license from the state of Hawaii - she said she hadn't taken a single PRAXIS.
Do you have to keep the teaching certification license update, or is it lifetime long? Where can you take the end exams while abroad in Asia? Awesome video, thank you!!
Re. Expiration: Yes, I need to renew my license every 4 years. There are several ways you can go about it. Look it up. Re. Exams: Try searching here praxis.ets.org
Hi Evgenii, thank you so much for this informative video. I am currently a highschool teacher at an international school (overseas) and I am looking to get certified. So I saw that you applied for a teaching certificate from the district of Columbia after having completed the Teach Now program. I was wondering if applying for a certificate from DC was possible to do from overseas (once having completed the TeachNow program). Once again, thank you for this informative video and I would love it if you could inform me further on the point that I had brought up.
Hi Jiwon, thanks for your question. Positive - you can complete the Teach-Now program and apply for an actual teaching license from overseas. I applied for a DC, a colleague of mine recently completed the program and got her license through the state of Hawaii. Once you decide on the state which you want to go through, you will need to figure out which PRAXIS exams you need to take. I hope this answers your questions and clarify the process a little.
Hello Demara, thanks for your question. The course is laborious and does require a good amount of time commitment. Depending on the state through which you will be applying for a teaching license, there will be PRAXIS exams. TEACH-NOW course is very practice-based, so it's safe to say it's a training.
Thank you for making this video. I am wondering whether it is stated in the official documents (i.e certificate or transcript) that this program was conducted online. The reason I am asking this question is that some countries in the middle east still do not accept online degrees or diplomas.
Hi Kristina, how are things? Thanks for checking out my channel. On to your questions: 1. PRAXIS test centers are located globally. Check out this resource for more information: www.ets.org/praxis/register/dates_centers/ There's one center in Kuwait if you are planning to take it here. 2. No, I didn't have to take IELTS to receive a teaching license. Check out this resource for more: teach-now.edu/admissions-requirements Please note that if you university degree was issued outside the US, you will need to go through authentication process. TEACH-NOW will have mode details on that. I hope this helps!
Hello Evgenii, Thank you for the video. So, if I was to complete the course would I be able to work around the world in various international schools with the teach now teaching certificate? Would they recognise it as a valid teaching license to the same standard as a QTS or a PGCE which is what the U.K teaching qualification.
Hello Ahmed, thanks for our question. 1) Once you complete the TEACH-NOW course, you will be able to apply for an American teaching license that is recognized both in the US and outside e.g. in international American schools around the word. 2) QTS or PGCE are British counterparts to American teaching license. While both documents make you eligible candidate for an international teaching job, a British school of Kuwait is more likely to hire you if you hold a QTS or PGCE, while The American International School of Muscat (Oman) prefer candidates with American teaching licenses. These are exceptions to these rules of cause. I hope this answers your question.
@@ahmedabbas46 Each state has its own requirements. This is the platform I used to apply for a teaching license in Washington D.C. octo.quickbase.com/db/bkdy85kmw?cg=1 If you go through TEACH-NOW, they will help you through the process.
Great video just what I was looking for! Quick question, the final 12 weeks are classroom based and you explained you can just film them and send the sessions to your tutors. However, there is also mention of a 'mentor/supervisor' requirement on their website. It's not clear if this is someone at your current school? I'm just thinking what if there isn't that option available to you (i.e. someone suitable at your current school), or your current school doesn't play ball so to speak. Finally, does successful completion mean you can teach to all ages up to 16? Or do you have to specialize in a subject and an age group also? Much obliged. :)
Hello and thank you for your questions. Re. Tutor: I was given two option - having a supervisor on site or having Teach-Now assign me a supervisor who would work with me remotely. I chose the latter, which worked out well. Re. Completion: Finishing Teach-Now is the first step. After completion of the program, you will be eligible to apply for a teaching license to a specific US state. When applying for a teaching license, you specify the subject area (e.g. Math, Science, Chemistry, etc.) and a grade level. This selection will determine which PRAXIS exams you will need to take to complete your application. To clarify, I applied to Washington D.C. to be licensed to teach multiple subjects (English, Math, Social Studies) to grades 1-6. I now have a Washington D.C. teaching licenses which makes me eligible to teach multiple subject in grades 1-6. This video can answer related questions: ruclips.net/video/WewchWHJm00/видео.html
Thanks for creating this video! How did you manage to do the clinical practice i.e. filming your actual classroom lessons? Did you have to obtain permission from the school where you teach at?
Hello Carmen, thanks for your question. 1. Yes, I filmed my clinical practice and then discussed it with my mentor. 2. Yes, I did ask for permission to film my lessons for professional development purposes.
Good day, I just found your youtube page. Thanks for this information. I do have a question? I already have a master's degree in special education but work for a university and I am not licensed. Will this program provide me all the requirements I need to become a licensed teacher in the state of Virginia or Georgia?
Hello Kavonda, thanks for your question. When I was doing TEACH-NOW, there was an option to get certified via D.C. or Arizona. Time has passed - if I were you I would reach out to TEACH-NOW directly and ask them this question. I would also look into Teacher License Reciprocity. You can begin here: www.ecs.org/teacher-license-reciprocity-state-profiles/ Hope this helps.
Hi! I watched all your videos which contain useful knowledge about getting teaching jobs abroad. At present, I am doing TEFL course and I’m nearly half way through it. There was a slight confusion in my mind that the TEFL/ CELTA/TESOL are not as recognised as the teaching license, in getting high end jobs. But does it really mean that American teaching licenses have more recognition than the CELTA or TESOL. I am a bit confused. The other thing is that anybody can apply and learn to gain the American teaching license even from abroad as it can be learnt as a distant course. The question is when one gets to work in America or elsewhere, does the language and pronunciation not matters in terms of teaching in the classroom. Hope I have not bombarded you with lots of questions. I’ll be looking forward to getting your reply. Thank you
Hello Afshan Nadeem, thanks for stopping by the channel. First of all congrats on almost completed TEFL course! Let me try to clarify a couple of your misconceptions: 1) TEFL/CELTA/TESOL are fundamental courses for teaching English as a second language. Teaching license, in contrast, is a fundamental course in teaching your selected content area e.g. Math, Science, early years, Social Studies, etc. If you hold a TEFL/CELTA/TESOL, you are likely to be a successful candidate to apply to a language center in Shanghai for a position of a ESL teacher. If, on the other hand, you hold a teaching license, you are likely to be a successful candiaate to apply to an international American school in Dubai for a grade 3 classroom teacher. The reason TEFL/CELTA/TESOL are less recognized than a standard teaching license is because the scope of TELF/CELTA/TESOL is limited to teaching English as a foreign language, which is insufficient for international schools, which tend to offer better working conditions and benefits than language school / centers. Does it make senses? 2) An American teaching license is a government document, therefore, it has more validity than any other teaching certificate such as TEFL/CELTA/TESOL. While entry requirements for a teaching license course are not very rigorous, you should have a minimum of bachelor's degree and pass PRAXIS exams, which many candidates struggle with. 3) In terms of English proficiency, as you can guess by my accent and language use in general, I'm not a native speaker of English myself. However, I've been successfully teaching/coaching internationally for the past 6 years. Two things you should keep in mind: a) While you cannot become a native speaker of English unless it was the first language you learned as a child (one of the two languages, if you are born to a bilingual family), it's quite possible to acquire a native speaker of English proficiency level. Which simply means that you can perform all the communicative tasks (listening/reading/speaking/writing) at fairly the same level as an average native speaker of English. Some people more than others are naturally more predisposed to achieve this level of language proficiency. While I don't know a scientifically proven measure of the native speaker of English proficiency level, some of the people who I met who seem to have achieved this level, would score an overall band of 8.5-9.0 on IELTS. b) If you decide to teach Engish abroad, you obviously want your English level to be as close to that of the native speaker of English. However, "nativespeakerness" is not the only factor that comes into the equation, while you are considered for a teaching job. Your teaching skills also play a huge part. It is recommended that your level of English is close to that of a native speaker i.e. C1/C2 on a CEFR scale. However, I've met a lot of non-native speakers of English who passed CELTA - many of them seemed to be at B2 in terms of English language proficiency. Keep in mind though, that as a ESL/EFL teacher you are expected to model the proper usage/grammar/pronunciation of the English language - it is one of the criteria you will be scored against during the CELTA course i.e. how accurately you model for your students. To sum up, it's possible to get a job teaching English if your English is good enough and you have above average teaching skills. I hope this information helps you clarify some things you were not sure about.
Hi Teach and travel. It was nice to see your video. Let me explain my case to you and then suggest me the entry requirements to the US. 1) I have a Bachelor in Computer Engineering from India 2) Masters in Mathematical modeling from the UK. I have been teaching in Private coaching classes in India for 10 years and recently joined Ministry of Education schools in the UAE for 4 months. How should I go about now to teach in the US ?
Hello Amit Mehta, thank you for your question. Teaching internationally (UAE) and teaching in the USA are two entirely different things. Teaching internationally, your selling points are: 1) English is your first language (as apposed to native population) 2) You can deliver content knowledge (pedagogy) If you're planning to teach in the USA, you enter into competition with USA citizens / teachers, which is a completely different scenario. In fact, you are in disadvantage because you don't have a work permit, getting which is a cumbersome process. While TEACH-NOW program can lead to teacher license, it won't guarantee you get a teaching job in the US as a non-US citizen.
Thank you for the great video! So just for confirmation, a non-US citizen can complete this course, take the praxis test online, do the FBI background check and receive a US Teaching License, all without ever stepping foot inside the USA? I am a UK citizen teaching at a private school in Taiwan using a TEFL and bachelor's degree. I would like to switch to a public school, but they require a valid teaching license from a native English speaking country for foreign teachers. Unfortunately you need to do in-person training to get a UK teaching license. This course seems perfect for me. Do you agree, or do you see a problem that I don't see?
Also, this video was uploaded 3 years ago, the license is valid for 4 years. Have you looked into the process of renewing it? Can that also be done completely online without ever visiting the US?
A non-US citizen can complete this course - Yes. Take the praxis test online - Yes. Do the FBI background check and receive a US Teaching License, all without ever stepping foot inside the USA - Yes.
Hello Evgenii, I am a non US citizen and I reside in the Middle East now. I hold a bachelor degree in management from a US regionally accredited university. I want to teach French and Spanish as a second language in a private American school here. I am fluent in both of them but I need a US certification to get the job. If I get the job I will only teach these languages as a second language. What is the fastest online certification I could get? Thank you in advance
I am confused. Does this course prepare you for taking all the FTCE exams? This does not take place of the exams correct? I still have to take and pass the professional exam, general knowledge, and the elementary k-6 exam. I am from florida and currently on a temp cert and have to take all those exams. What is the benefit for me?
Hi Evgenii, great video. Would I need a SSN for the application for licensure in DC. Also, Would it be possible to use certification from DC to apply for certification in other states
Re. SSN: No, you do not have to have it. They have a process, whereby a different number is generated to be used in lieu of SSN for individuals who do not have SSN. Re. Other States: Yes, it is possible to transfer your license from one state to another, given specific requirements are met. Do some research on "Teacher License Reciprocity", which will give you a clearer picture of the process.
Hello, thanks for your question. Teacher license reciprocity allows educators who hold a teaching license in one state to earn a license in another state, subject to meeting state-specific requirements. More information here: www.ecs.org/50-state-comparison-teacher-license-reciprocity/ The program cost 6,000$ when I tool it almost 4 years ago.
Thanks Evgenii for the video! but I have a question: after I get my Teach-Now certificate of completion and academic transcript, *HOW* do I apply for a teaching license from the state government from aboard as I am living in another country now. Thank you!
Hello Josephine, thanks for your questions. You do not have to physically be in the USA to apply for a teaching license through the state government. Everything is done electronically. The only "physical" thing in the application are your fingerprints that need to be sent to the FBI to get a clearance/background check. However, even this step can be done without physically being in the USA. Does this answer your question?
Thank you so much for your videos, I watched many of them. I am living in North Africa and I have a small experience as natural sciences teacher but in French, soon I will get my PhD degree in biological field, I love English and I love teaching, I would like to teach science in English , I checked few schools especially in the UAE and they are asking for teaching license, please is there any recommendations? Wow, very impressive information you have shared sir, but I would like to know if this certificate has one country value or this certificate has globally valued
Hey, thanks for the question. It all depends on the country/school you are applying to. For example, nearly all international schools worldwide will recognize an American teaching license as a valid teaching certificate. What is the context where you are planning to teach?
Hello I find it interesting that the program, how can I be part of it? I am a Math and Science teacher. And as well I am a self-taught teacher. I was looking for a kind of program years ago, Though I thought I was in the right way. When can I get started? How long will it take to finish and get my international school license?
Thanks for the video! I am not in the US now but if i complete the course and pass the exam, how could i complete the 12 week teaching requirement? Can it be done in an international school abroad? Is the certificate only issued after completing the actual teaching requirement?
Good questions. There are multiple ways to satisfy the 12-week practicum. When I was completing mine, I recorded the classes I taught in Kuwait. While it was 6 years ago, the program guidelines should still allow you to complete the practicum at your current school elsewhere. Yes, the completion certification is issued when you finish the program. Important note: The completion certificate is not a teaching license, which you should obtain after the completion of the program. I hope this helps.
Hi Evgenii, I am based in South Africa and work in Finance but was an Economics Teacher in China. If I am not teaching now, would I still be able to go through the Teach-Now programme even if I am not actively teaching at the moment or would it be required for me to do so? I do have old footage of me teaching a class though.
Hey, yes the program is available for aspiring teachers. You will, however, need to have access to a group of learners to complete the practical/clinical unit of the program, which is closer to the end.

Hello Mireia, thanks for your question. If you are planning to work as a teacher in the USA, you need to have a teaching license from the state where you are planning to teach. Many jobs in the US require employees to hold a bachelor’s degree. Some require even more coursework at US graduate schools. But neither graduation nor a specific college degree automatically qualifies you to work in certain professions in the US. Hello Juan, thanks for your comment. I'm happy you're finding Teach-Now program helpful. Off the top of my head, I can give a couple of advice when it comes to PRAXIS exams: 1) Buy official preparation materials / practice tests offered by ETS. There are well crafted and provide essential practice resources. 2) Buy one of the PRAXIS books offered by a third-party. Go through these books before proceeding to official ETS practice tests. I tried searching Amazon for a titled I used, but couldn't find it. 3) Start preparation early. That's all I can say about PRAXIS at this point. Hopefully there is something helpful there.

Bachelor’s degree (or higher). A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. 2. 3.0 GPA. They seek a GPA (Grade Point Average) of 3.0 or higher, or equivalent experience. Transcripts must be submitted before starting Module 3. Their Admissions Team can respond to further questions or provide clarification. 3. Writing sample that demonstrates effective writing skills in English. They seek evidence of passion and enthusiasm for helping young people learn, grow, and develop through project-based virtual and/or physical classroom learning. Hopefully, this answers your question.

Hello Laxmi, thanks for your question. The teaching license is normally valid for 3-5 years, after which it needs to be extended. I have not done my extension myself yet, so I cannot offer you any insights here.
It all depends on the kind of school you are planning to apply to. If it is a public school in Arizona, you will need a teaching license issued by the Arizona Department of Education. As for Columbia, I think you need to ask the school directly if they recognize the US teaching license.
Hey, thanks for your question. Yes, in most cases, you will need a teaching certificate to teach. There are a few exceptions where you don't, but I strongly encourage you to become a certified teacher if you take it seriously and want to make it your career choice.
Is teach now designed according to subjects like biology and chemistry ? after completing the course , will they give to work in USA? after getting license is it possible to get job in arizona and california? how much possibility to get job? will it worldly recognized to other countries like new zealand , canada, china, ireland, estonia, singapore? is it international teaching certificate? how it can help getting job for non native english speakers?whats the next step after getting teach now certificate?is it like M.ED ? thank you sir
Hi, these are all good questions. Let me address them one by one: 1. Is teach now designed according to subjects like biology and chemistry? TEACH-NOW is a fundamental teaching course, it concentrates mainly on pedagogy and not specific content areas. You will, however, have to pass PRAXIS content-based exams according to the specialization you select e.g. biology, chemistry, etc. 2. After completing the course , will they give work in USA? No. 3. How much possibility to get job? It depends on your work experience, academic background, and a position you are applying for. 4. Will it worldly recognized to other countries like new zealand , canada, china, ireland, estonia, singapore? Yes, US teaching license is recognized world-wide. However, some government school in the UK or Canada may require their local teaching license instead. 5. How it can help getting job for non native english speakers? Any professional development increases your chances of finding a job. US teaching license is a good investment into your professional development, especially if your university degree is from a country where English is not spoken as first language. 6. Is it like M.ED ? Teaching license is not equivalent to a university degree. Teach-Now offers joint programs which lead to a Master's degree. Check out their website for more information on this topic. 7. Whats the next step after getting teach now certificate? Step 1: Start Teaching Career Abroad - ruclips.net/video/suJvEVysTc0/видео.html Step 2: Improve Your Teaching Résumé - ruclips.net/video/q3u7yTsquOQ/видео.html Step 3: Spot Jobs and Employment Scams - ruclips.net/video/Hq29diX1tBI/видео.html I hope this information helps.

Hello Natakie, thanks for your question. Yes, you can use the TEACH-NOW certificate, together with PRAXIS exams scores to apply for a teaching license. It'd be best if you check with TEACH-NOW itself for which states their certificate is valid. Hopefully, this answers your question.
So once you complete the course and providing that you pass all you have to do is send your documents over to Columbia or Washington DC and then they will give you a fully qualified teacher certificate?
Correct. You do not have to physically send stuff to Columbia or Washington DC-you upload the program completion certificate, PRAXIS results, FBI clearance, etc., on their portal and they mail you (or TEACH-NOW) your teaching license.

Hello, How many classes did you have to record and send to your mentor? My classes are only 40 minutes long. Should I start filming as soon as I begin the program? Thanks
If the curriculum does not change, you will film 12 lessons in total. You will begin filming your lessons closer to the competition of the program and not at the beginning.
@@edtechii Hi Evgenii, what if I don't have any students? I am a teacher now but this is the last semester I teach because I will pursue my master's degree this September. But I hope to start the program this April. Can I film lessons in advance?
@LAO LEE Hello, and thank you for your question. When I completed the program, the instructor was lenient towards trainee who did not have access to real students. People were allowed to record lessons with their kids / nieces / etc. It would be best if you send an inquiry to Teach-Now to see what alternatives they offer now. Recording lessons in advance will be problematic because you do not know the requirements / standards / activities that should be included in your lesson.
Is there any affordable degree(online/any) which can guarantee a non native speaker to get teaching job for biology and chemistry in Canada/USA/UK/Australia/Ireland/Newzealand?
Hello Rokan Moschus, thank you for your question. Think about it this way: Why should a school in Canada/USA/UK/Australia/Ireland/Newzealand hire a teacher from overseas when there are enough domestic applicants? You need to be a very qualified individual to be able to to pull if off. As for your question about a degree, don't you think any degree won't guarantee you employment in general - in your home country or elsewhere?

So which state cerification is good for Pre school teacher. And can you please suggest me in which state I will be getting opportunity as a Pre Primary Teacher? Thanks and Regards
Hey Vidyanka, thanks for your question. You will need to focus and spend some quality time doing research. To get you started, reach out to TEACH-NOW, inquire which states you can apply through once you complete their program. Once know which lineup of states you can go through, check out this website www.ets.org/praxis section - State Testing Requirements. This will give you an idea what exams you will need to take in each state to apply for a teaching license in this state. Does this sound like a plan of action?

Now I have shifted in Washington USA. I want to know that is it required to do a certificate course for become a teacher in Washingto or my bachelor in education degree would consider for teaching licensing?
Hello Mssapna Rathod, thanks for your question. In the USA, you need to have a teaching license on top of your university degree to be qualified to teach in state schools. So to answer your question - yes, you need to go through a licensure. I have a video which answers a question what American teaching license is: ruclips.net/video/WewchWHJm00/видео.html&t I hope this information helps.
Hi I'm also from India. I have done masters in mathematics and bachelor in education and I have worked for 10 years in Indian govt school. Currently lives in Nebraska usa
I'm trying to apply but confused about some points. I'm a non-US citizen with 9 years of experience. 1. I'm confused about the degree and the transcript. Should they be verified first from one the agencies??? And can I compensate those docs with experience??? 2. If I'm raking a gap year. How am I going to apply the clinical part and if I find a job what if the school year ended before ending the clinical part???
1. If you degree was issued outside of the USA, you need to obtain a report that identifies, describes, and provides a U.S. equivalency for your credential. Here is more information about this points: www.wes.org/partners/wes-evaluation-reports/ I think you need to have a university degree to be eligible for admission. Please verify that. 2. Ideally, the clinical part needs to happen when you have access to students. However, Teach-Now is flexible and makes accommodations for teachers who do not have such an opportunity, e.g. having a lesson with nephews, or adults.
Thank you so much for your information. I have some questions. I'm a mechanical engineer I have graduated from Jordan which means I have foreign degree. However, I live in America. I would like to be a math Teacher. Could you tell what the steps are, please?
Hello, and thank you for your question. Short answer: You can do the Teach-Now program with no problem. However, to apply for a teaching license, you need to have your Jordan degree authenticated and then submitted to World Education Services (WES), or a similar organization, to receive a U.S. equivalency for your degree. There was a similar question/comment in the past, which I thoroughly addressed in my reply. Please take a few minutes and scroll through previous comments and find my answer.

Hello Mr. Schnitzel, and thank you for your question. I am not qualified to legitimately answer your question about American Board. I can only answer on behalf of Teach-Now / Moreland University: No, you do not have to have a teaching job in the US to apply and receive a teaching license after completion of their program.
Hello Rupinder, thanks for your comment. You are right, if you got your university degree outside of the U.S., you will need to do an credit-by-credit evaluation.
Hello Charles, thanks for your question. The agency itself doesn't grant teacher's certification. It's an accredited preparatory course that you can use to apply for a teacher's certification with a state board of education. I think I talk about it in the video.
Hello Sahil Khan, thanks for taking your time to stop by the channel and leaving a question.
PRAXIS test centers and dates: www.ets.org/praxis/register/dates_centers/
FBI background check: www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks

Thank you so much. What was the course work like? Did you have any exams or papers to write? Or was it like a training?
Hello Demara, thanks for your question.
The course is laborious and does require a good amount of time commitment.
Depending on the state through which you will be applying for a teaching license, there will be PRAXIS exams.
TEACH-NOW course is very practice-based, so it's safe to say it's a training.
Thank you for making this video. I am wondering whether it is stated in the official documents (i.e certificate or transcript) that this program was conducted online. The reason I am asking this question is that some countries in the middle east still do not accept online degrees or diplomas.
Hello Evgenii . Thanks for the video. Where did you take a Praxis exam ? Did you go to US to do that ?
Also, did you need to take ILETS ?
Hi Kristina, how are things? Thanks for checking out my channel. On to your questions:
1. PRAXIS test centers are located globally. Check out this resource for more information: www.ets.org/praxis/register/dates_centers/ There's one center in Kuwait if you are planning to take it here.
2. No, I didn't have to take IELTS to receive a teaching license. Check out this resource for more: teach-now.edu/admissions-requirements
Please note that if you university degree was issued outside the US, you will need to go through authentication process.
@@edtechii Thank you for your detailed reply. What is the process for applying for an American teaching license?
@@ahmedabbas46 Each state has its own requirements. This is the platform I used to apply for a teaching license in Washington D.C. octo.quickbase.com/db/bkdy85kmw?cg=1
If you go through TEACH-NOW, they will help you through the process.

Let me try to clarify a couple of your misconceptions:
1) TEFL/CELTA/TESOL are fundamental courses for teaching English as a second language.
Two things you should keep in mind:
a) While you cannot become a native speaker of English unless it was the first language you learned as a child (one of the two languages, if you are born to a bilingual family), it's quite possible to acquire a native speaker of English proficiency level.
Thanks for the information. Can I use this certificate in Hawaii??
I am not sure. It is best to ask Teach-Now directly if their training program is recognized by Hawaii,.

2) Masters in Mathematical modeling from the UK.
Teaching internationally, your selling points are:
1) English is your first language (as apposed to native population)
2) You can deliver content knowledge (pedagogy)
If you're planning to teach in the USA, you enter into competition with USA citizens / teachers, which is a completely different scenario.

Teacher license reciprocity allows educators who hold a teaching license in one state to earn a license in another state, subject to meeting state-specific requirements.
More information here: www.ecs.org/50-state-comparison-teacher-license-reciprocity/
The program cost 6,000$ when I tool it almost 4 years ago.

Hi sir,it's my dream to teach in USA ..I'm Indian.what are basic qualifications and requirements to get teaching license?
Hello Learning Planet, thanks for your question. This is an answer to your question: teach-now.edu/admissions-requirements
Hello
I find it interesting that the program,
how can I be part of it?
I am a Math and Science teacher.
And as well I am a self-taught teacher.
I was looking for a kind of program years ago,
Though I thought I was in the right way.
You will, however, need to have access to a group of learners to complete the practical/clinical unit of the program, which is closer to the end.
the teaching certificate is only approved by 3 states, is that what you said?
that means i can't teache in other state, like NY, right?
Hello, thanks for your question. The video was produces a while ago. I would advise you check with TEACH-NOW to get the most up-to-date information regarding this question.
Is that's available now??? Please tell anyone’s

I am an undergraduate of education. I am currently studying a doble degree ( children 0-12 years old) in Spain, and plan on doing a Master once I finish uni. I have been searching information on how to become a teacher in America but I’m quite confused. As I’m studying a full doble university degree focused on becoming a teacher, do I need to take the teaching certification? Or it’s only for those who didn’t attend a education university degree and they now want to become a teacher? Thank you!
For some jobs, you need US licensure.

Hi there, Thanks for this informative video. I'm currently enrolled in Teach now and it's amazing. Would it be possible for you to make a video or comment about your experience about the praxis exams in DC and some tips to ace these exams. I mean 5 exams seems daunting on another level.
I've tried to research some tips and how to prepare in advance but limited results on my side. I'd really appreciate an overview experience of the praxis exams in DC and after writing and passing the exams how long does it take to be issued by the state.
Hello Juan, thanks for your comment. I'm happy you're finding Teach-Now program helpful.
Off the top of my head, I can give a couple of advice when it comes to PRAXIS exams:
1) Buy official preparation materials / practice tests offered by ETS.
Thank you so much for your reply. Can you recommend any 3rd party preparation materials
@@juanlefleur3407 Like I said before, I cannot recall I used. Amazon has a wide range of resources for PRAXIS. I guess what matters is that you practice the exams questions and build confidence.
Hi sir, may i know ; is this certificate can eligible for ib schools.. let me know how to get the teaching certificate for international baccalaureate...
Hello Shahina Shanik, thanks for your question. Technically, this is an American teaching license that makes you eligible to teach at American public schools, which, to the best of my knowledge, do not follow IB curriculum.

Hi, what do you need to have in order to be able to get certified as a teacher with this course? Do you need a teaching degree? Im an early childhood teacher in Australia. I have done my diploma in early childhood education and care and a post graduate in education. Would I be able to be a teacher in United States?
Hello Marina and thank you for your question.
According to the program's website, prospective candidates must meet the following three requirements to be eligible for admission to the program:

Hello Fvdt Xbjcg , thank you for your question. Yes, you will be able to apply for the teach-now program. I was in the same situation.

Hello rmt3589, thanks for your question.
TEACH-NOW program does lead to teacher certification. However, some leadership positions require an additional administrative licensure on top of a teaching license. Try do some research around it and let me know if you still have questions.

Can I use this teaching certificate to work in school in Columbia and Arizona?
It all depends on the kind of school you are planning to apply to. If it is a public school in Arizona, you will need a teaching license issued by the Arizona Department of Education. As for Columbia, I think you need to ask the school directly if they recognize the US teaching license.

Hi, these are all good questions. Let me address them one by one:
Step 1: Start Teaching Career Abroad - ruclips.net/video/suJvEVysTc0/видео.html
Step 2: Improve Your Teaching Résumé - ruclips.net/video/q3u7yTsquOQ/видео.html
Step 3: Spot Jobs and Employment Scams - ruclips.net/video/Hq29diX1tBI/видео.html

Hey, thanks for your question.
1. Decide which state you want to receive your certification from.
2. Decide what you want to specialize in e.g. Elementary Education, Secondary Math, Computer Science, etc.
3. Go to www.ets.org/praxis/site.html to learn what exams you need to take for your selected state and specialization.
4. Register, prepare, and pass the PRAXIS tests.
5. Go to www.fbi.gov/how-we-can-help-you/more-fbi-services-and-information/identity-history-summary-checks#:~:text=We%20accept%20fingerprints%20taken%20with,fingerprint%20card%20will%20be%20rejected. to learn how to obtain FBI criminal background check.
6. Submit all acquired documents to the selected state department of education.
Hi, so with this certificate do you apply for the license in a particular state and automatically gets it. Help me understand please and thank you.
