Correction: the guns and ammunitions were sent to Jamaica by the US government because they wanted to prevent Michael Manley (then PNP leader) from being Prime Minister, because of his "socialist" policies. They wanted to prevent what happened in Cuba from happening in Jamaica.

My best brother was murdered by corrupt cops, it tore my family apart mentally, he was such a kind, good person, this happened the 9 of October, 2003 at Zion hill, st. Catherine, Jamaica. After my family was trying to get justice, the cops started sending threats to my family, we were scared, because we know what they are capable of, at one point, i couldn't walk alone on the street, i had to take my baby mom and child with me so they wouldn't kill me if the caught me alone. Thanks be to god that indecom was formed because many more innocent people would have been murdered by them. I feel and remember the pain. Its unforgettable.

People in Jamaica thinks they are a free people. The Jamaican government has a governor general that protects the interest of the queen of England. The security force is the militia that carry out this task. This country does not know what justice looks like. The people are on the defense always with no rights. The police forces are protected to carry on killing man woman and children. This is not an independent country as thought. The lessons that colonizers are teaching is that to stand you must pay with cash and blood. France for example is still charging the poorest nation for the uprising in the Haitian rebellion because they did not collect on the backs of black peoples.

I had two experiences with the police force. One where if it wasn't for them I would be dead. I was the victim of an attempted robbery coming from work and it was the police on the spot that saved my from being robbed and maybe skilled because the guys had guns. I also had an experience where I lost my job and was going through financial hardship hence I leave my rented place to go back in the ghetto to live where I grew, the community was tense because of violence and police pushed my in my house to killed me. I said Jesus, save me..the police said Jesus cant save you, we ago kill you and it was another one who said a innocent youth this man leave him. I told him thanks and God be with him, Is aw my life before my eyes in the moment. FEAR. .Living in the inner-city is a crime, the odds are stocked against you. Leave the inner-city youths!! Lie from the pit of hell, gun crimes are in jamaica and police excessive but Jesus christ visitors and tourists are better protected in jamaica unless they get in some illicit and unlawful activities. Lots of times tourist will say the hotel is not jamaica and want to go off property but hotels want them to stay on property. Some of these mothers know they have criminal children. They fail as parents and police wouldn't have anybody to be shooting at if they grow their children in the right way.

That said, even when driving a registered tour vehicle, our driver was pulled over, asked to exit the vehicle and step back to the police vehicle (because they won’t do it in front of tourists) so they could fleece him for money for a traffic violation, something he bargained down at roadside, suggesting he would go to court over it if the charge was kept the same. $10 and you’re free to go.

A lot of people in jamaica dont realize up to now the MAJOR down fall that this island has been going through for a number of years now, and yet a lot of them realize but still ( unwisely and selfishly ) continue to stop our good country from rising. I'll never forget way back in 1993 when I was part of a group of several hundreds other Christian Believers and while sitting on the hillsides of Red hills overlooking Kingston and I saw and felt the horrors of the spiritual darkness that has come over the land.
The Spirit of the Lord showed me exactly what Jesus saw, felt and said as he saw Jerusalem in the distance, and foreknew the disasters that would soon come to it.
Jesus said "Jerusalem, oh Jerusalem, how do i long to gather you as a hen gathers her chicks to her, but you will not."
That experience is burned in my memories as I foresaw the many more needless deaths, suffering and pains to come.
The change that the country needs is from the heart as they need to turn back to the Lord.
The founding Fathers were all solid Men of God, I still hold that our National Anthem is the greatest one ever written by human hands, and it should be the National Anthem for every country in the world!

Bizarre, one sided, biased documentary. Heavily represents one side of the story with minimal investigation of facts or representation of the other side(s). I have no doubt there is brutal, extrajudicial abuse and murders. But I also have a hard time believing the innocence of young adults visibly carrying a firearm when approached by police. Also the denial that they possessed marijuana at a road-side vendors booth in the middle of gang controlled territory. Shooting people 17 times is brutal and extreme; those responsible should be locked up. Clearly there is a massive gap between true, legal law enforcement and the reality of the police behaviours.

Went to Kingston in 2007 for my high school graduation we were all poor kids we all got full ride scholarships thru wrestling or coach paid for it there was 4 of us total we had 6 police try to rob us the 1st night there the 4 of us beat the brakes of them immediately fleed to the us embassy we thought they were fake police at first then when we fleed the alley they took us into from the restaurant we were in we seen the cop cars. I often think about that situation and how bad it could’ve been. When we left them they were all snoring and leaking I hope they are okay but at the same time if they died at least I know they won’t do it again. The embassy assured us they were real police and told us how lucky we were we weren’t killed and the ones who lived held ransom/jailed.

Poverty breeds strife... Powerful countries run the World Bank, which has Jamaica suffocating under a debt load that will never be paid off (Jamaica has been an historically pillaged nation and on a net basis I believe Jamaica is "owed huge restitution" from many "developed" nations, which would be far and beyond the national debt obligations).
Compounding the social and economic disharmony in Jamaica is a political system which is underpinned by corruption, violence and intimidation, the media people who create these programmes on RUclips are fully aware of all these issues I and others raise, but they choose not to make programmes about the predatory and manipulative behaviour of "first world leaders" and the World Bank or the devastating effects of their actions, which are perpetually felt by people around the world in developing nations.
This programme may have it's audience thinking Jamaica is a nation filled with problems, but the actuality is this programme highlights the people of Jamaica are victims and the ills we see in Jamaica are symptomatic of a vicious exploitative world system, which *no media outlet* dares to turn the spotlight on...
I write this with tears in my eyes and hope in my heart... Long live Jamaica...

Our people in particular have been played with tyrannical Leaders for as long as we've had Kings/influential men (Numbers 16:2, 1 Kings 11:1-8, 2 Kings 21:1-11, 16 KJV). Read the Bible. We (descendants of the slave trades/Deuteronomy 28 KJV) are those people (the true Israelites/Saints/Church).

Young Jamaicans: if you are fascinated with guns, I encourage you to do something on a positive note and join the military. Do not invoke the life of crime, because it will lead you to an early grave. Do something your family will be proud of and the younger ones can look up to.

What was the supposed victim doing holding a gun?
He was supposedly pointing it down to the ground when the police happened upon him.
That makes absolutely no sense at all.
These guys had no business having a gun in their possession!
Holding the gun in hand tells me they were planning to shoot somebody.
I have no sympathy for them!

This journalist just went to a little part of Kingston and spoke to some people who just love and will do anything to be in front of a camera to bash the police, she then went to the former leader of the criminal rights organization called Jamaica for justice and a guy from England they brought to the island to assist with the crime problem that discovered the job was too big for him(he never made any contribution to the "police service" or to the containment of crime and criminals while he was a Deputy commissioner of police, he only found the same problems that he was engaged to solve and because he couldn't he started criticizing). All criminals in Jamaica are innocent even when they are found clutching a weapon hot and reek with phosphorus and residue are found on their hands and members of the security forces either died or injured or they just murdered three people around a corner. One eye witness said the criminal that got killed by the security forces had a gun, then he stressed he never pointed it...thats a typical statement they make when they are lying to protect themselves and family from that dead criminal friends. There is a culture in Jamaica where in certain communities its a common thing for people to tell lies on security forces, some of these people only miss the spoils what the criminals brings in to them like money, cell phones, televisons, jewelry, the loot thats all they miss. Jamaican security forces are not the most brutal in the world, they are not the most corrupt, most of the allegations of corruption are just perceived and not actual. Like every other countries in the world Jamaica has its problems, some are unique and others are trends across the globe. In a country that has the most murders per capita with ruthless murderers killing man, woman and children in the middle of a high street at high noon without care, why do these people believe these criminals are afraid to challenge security forces at will? If the security forces were killing extra judiciously, more than 500 criminals would die at their hands annually and most of the time its not even half of that number. Alot of these people in this video playing victims and pretending their sons are some angelic beings are more evil than their cruel children, the real victims are the ones their sons create when they go out and murder at will without remorse.
