JANUARY 15, 2022: New head of the Kingston Central Police Division, Superintendent Beresford Williams, told residents and stakeholders during a street meeting yesterday inside the Zone of Special Operations (ZOSO) that the divisional murders should be held under 20.

Government should not be going around begging people to behave themselves. Get tougher on criminals with stiffer penalties. Bring back capital punishment ASAP.
There are several contributory factors that can be looked at….(not done)…nothing appears to be being done. It affects the Jamaican economy when the world listens to events of the relentless crime and murders. Who want to visit and spend foreign currency to bluster the Jamaican economy. Is it no wonder you have hotels that seemingly appear to be off limits as if they are islands on the island.
For years this talk of security, if you have a people with sense and abilities on an island that could be re-considered a pearl among others within in the Caribbean region, such as Barbados for example; (recognising Barbados has its issues too), and there is little for the people to do what on earth do politicians expect. It not only starts from the home it continues in schools then expands into the wider communities you find.
What Jamaica requires is re-education. The implicit will of politicians governors and law enforcers requires a complete overhaul.
1. The introduction of programs to build-up infrastructure with communities would go a long way to install a greater sense of worth inside what can only be considered shanty towns, exhibiting broken buildings and generally unkept roads a lack of sanitation without consistent and covered viaducts to carry away waste.
2. The government could enforce measures to ensure such communities are allocated grants that are enforced and overseen by local government, mandated to supervise and ensure grant monies are expended on restructures found wanting, in need of repair upgrade or complete renovation.
After all how much further shall the world watch and laugh at the conditions in Jamaica. All that seemingly appear to be done is proceeds secured from the world bank as loans to pay back loans is being syphoned off to fatten already fattened off shore accounts while the slurry of feral degradation murder suspicion and often times senseless killing of tourists and innocent by-standers are caught up in the putridness of the outlying, thus, manufactured creed as a result.
3. Government Knock your heads together and enact measures now, cease allowing the further relentless down grading of Jamaica considered a no go area within the region by many who have the wherewithal to invest.
It is up to you all, the killings and constant murdering have to stop. You all can not depend on ending up relying upon structural loans with monumentally high interest rates when considered overall. Jamaica will become a bankrupt island because not one person in having all their faculties would want to vacation on an island where there it is only considered that crime, corruption, killings and murders rule. Jamaica the eyes of the world are upon you, you must and can do better. Even those with the wherewithal can invest in Jamaica, pooling resources and securing development with collaborators from outside can realise elite shopping malls that will attract external investment. Sending police officers to only speak will not cut it. Corruption and support for the unfettered criminal needs to be pushed out from the top right down to the grass roots. It is the knowledge of the Jamaican builder, the farmer, the school teacher, the seamstress and artisans in general who have the calibre to save Jamaica and the government in Jamaica is doing what? I want to shout out and say I am proud to be a Jamaican yet I cannot because I foresee the bloodbath the degradation the ruthlessness greed and the squalor’s. It’s ok, this you scratch my back I’ll scratch yours attitude must be wiped out leaders should lead and enact policies that match their pre-election manifesto chat of promises that fail to materialise. Failed promises failed communities failed system failed economy bankrupt island….think about how all these failures contribute towards the overall bankrupted-ness. It is not the people, the people are an extension of the leaders and are taking examples from the leaders. “Follow my lead” follow to where to living hell on this earth?
