I agree, for any cover song. It is annoying sometimes when people don't know a song is a cover, but I wouldn't blame Fred or Limp Bizkit for that. Just misinformed fans.
Lol, probably the same reaction most 90's fans have towards Korn's music since 2005. I'd say your lowest point was doing a shitty song for a shitty game in 2008. At least Limp Bizkit still reps nu-metal rather than seek the latest trend trying (and failing) to be relevant. And yes, I know LB & Korn are on cordial terms.
"Trying the new trend" - I don't like Korn's new shit but i think it's more of NOT being caught in the same rutt. Who the fuck wants to play the same material over and over and over again..... (GundnRoses and Metallica maybe) Boredom sets in. If you're creative you move on. Korn are still all about finding new BIG sounds. They've said it in interviews. Plus they are in their 40s now with families. Write songs about high school troubles, scream about how much they people, being raped as a child - i think not. Fred Durst may never mature. He's stuck in the same mold because he lacks musical talent. And because of him the other Bizkit members have this stigma on them forever. Korn/ Deftones > originality. LB > poser band riding the waves of every other act with annoyingly commercial songs with a frontman with a warped ego soo overgrown it makes it impossible to convince him he sucks. Just the facts.
Korn said Word Up was just a song they did in rehearsal but fans really liked it. I think Jon just really respects Ministry and to have fans think its a limp bizkit song pissed him off. The korn covers are well known songs so its hard to think they are KoRn's songs
Anybody is entitled to their opinion. In my opinion i love that cover song "thieves" that limp bizkit did and every single cover song they have done in the past . I love limp bizkit.
To fans who think "Thieves" was a Limp Bizkit song need to quit listening to rock and metal. Thieves was done by Ministry a long time ago and is one of their most classic songs they ever did. I would have the same response as Jonathon Davis portrayed. That is complete horse crap that fans would think Limp Bizkit originally did that song.
I don't get why he was pissed at Fred. all the videos I've seen of the cover Fred is pretty clear that its a cover. He even asks the crowd if they like Ministry.
Isn't that what I said? Korn signed Limp Bizkit on their record. limp Bizkit got known for it. So Limp Bizkit became well known because of KoRn. Sounds the same too me.
Same type of strumming but higher octives! Second they didn't copy the whole song. They (Munky and Head) didn't have that in mind when they played that riff.
He is always criticizing limp bizkit... no matter the reason, he is happy just making bad comments about Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit... Is a Classic thing from Jonathan Davis
This title is just twisted and bullshit, He didn't say he hates their cover he is just saying that it pisses him off that people think Limp Bizkit originally wrote the song. Korn and Limp are good mates.Fred actually made the Got The Life film clip
@StretchDouche - yeh I mean "word up" was from Cameo and Korn played it and even put in an album and made a videoclip, as far as I know Limp Bizkit only played thieves live, so I don't understand why all the hate.. :s
Do I need to hate you about playing Another Brick In The Wall, Word Up or playing Metallica's One ? You just jealous that Bizkit is actually more commercial succeeded band.
I was gonna like this just for the tshirt Jonathan is wearing, but I cant like the actual edit because it sounds out of context and so unlike Jonathan. I dont think he is trashing LB, more than he is talking about the fundamental contrast in style I bet.
Nice to see JD worry so much about disrespectfulness, but how can he fckn doubt, LB did it with respect? Where does the friendship end? (OK, I'm kidding and just wanted to recall some old lyrics for fun.)
Limp Bizkits cover (Which is honestly sick) led me to listen to Ministry so... Also John didnt at ALL clarify who did the original in this clip so like...whos this helping?
Davis has been whining about Limp Bizkit since they emerged from Jacksonville. Meanwhile Korn did shit of cover like Another Brick in the Wall which few dumb kids I known thought is song by them. Never seen Durst or Borland whine about it.
So it's Limp Bizkit's fault that younger fans don't know about Ministry? The way I see it, the best way to keep older good music around is for newer bands to cover the tracks. Sure, a lot of people will be too stupid/lazy to find the original song, but plenty of people will still be turned on to Ministry because of this. That's how covers work. I'm a little disappointed in Jonathan Davis's intelligence for this.
Their 'suckiest' period was the 2007 - 2010 era! Untitled album and KoRn III are probably their weakest albums. I think the last one, The Path of Totality, was much better than the last two. They have that fire again like they used to, the new album they are about to release sounds like it's going to be great plus Head is back with them!
with all due respect for Mr. Davis' anger, its not limp bizkit's fault that their moron fans thought the song was theirs. It is BS that people legitimately didnt know it was a Ministry song, but that isnt fred durst's problem (although maybe he should have said, "hey, this isnt our song, its by a band called Ministry" when they played it live)
LB are way better in my book than Korn and Ministry only because I like what they do. Never paid much notice to Ministry at all and don’t get Korn at all.
Korn never did Thieves!!! It's a Ministry song you silly killy philly dilly sausage. And Korn did there own version of Brick in the Wall some it's half of Pink Floyd and theirs.
LB version is fun to listen but I can see why Jonathan hates this. They also cut out the best parts just for the audience to jumping and dancing around and probably just to avoid those speed up drum tempos and guitar riffs as well. Which is a pretty much disappointment if you ask me.
When LB played thieves at woodstock 99, it was to fuckin sick
Yeah, let's not forget how classy original "Another Brick in the Wall" and "Word Up" was...
Right? All weak covers. Bizkit tore it up with ‘Thieves’. Badass cover.
I like word up. But agreed
@@Jbb6782 Limp Bisquick is incapable of tearing up anything, let alone even touch a song by Ministry.
@@chaosapiant no, they killed it. And it pains me to say that.
you missed the point numb nuts. smh
I agree, for any cover song. It is annoying sometimes when people don't know a song is a cover, but I wouldn't blame Fred or Limp Bizkit for that. Just misinformed fans.
...sooo did Ministry do a cover of Thieves by Limp Bizkit!?
Watch Limp Bizkit perform it at Uno in 1998, Fred says it’s a song by Ministry.
Yes
Theres a few other times he asks "Yall like Ministry?"
another brick in the wall ?
No does he hate the cover...or does he hate the fact that LB fans don't know who's song it was originally. The cover is pretty awesome if you ask me.
Hes mad that some fans think limp bizkit wrote it
Jonathan as much as I love you man, you're wrong about the Thieves cover. :/
better than dubstep
Lol, probably the same reaction most 90's fans have towards Korn's music since 2005.

That cover kicks ass and better than any of the dubstep crap they did.
Isn't Jonathan Davis a hypocrite. Korn copied the opening of too many puppies by Primus in Korn's song Blind and they gave them no credit.
I wonder what Jonathan thinks now that LB has their Thieves cover on a studio recording
Thieves from Limp Bizkit is Awesome HARD! I loveit. Limp Bizkit covers always are PERFECT
Fucking love both bands
Reminds me of kids now
When they see something and think it first came from Fortnite
Makes me wanna tear out their rib cage
I think Korn doesn't have shit on Limp Bizkit! It's my opinion so don't start a war.
I never was a huge Korn fan, but Jonathan just got points in my book
To fans who think "Thieves" was a Limp Bizkit song need to quit listening to rock and metal. Thieves was done by Ministry a long time ago and is one of their most classic songs they ever did. Dude, don't blame Limp. Most fans back then still had never heard of Ministry. They weren't in the mainstream, but Limp was.
Bloody hell, Limp Bizkit fans are overly defensive.
Seems like Jonathan Davis is overly defensive.
Who doesn't want to punch Fred Durst in the face?
He looks like the collector guy in Powerpuff Girls
Sponsored by: Adidas, Puma, Pornhub, Jesus, and Hatorade.
Now Jonathan, how do you like them' apples now?
They should have said we are going to do a cover by Ministry.
Really? So just treat the fans like their stupid? Not Fred's job to teach music history on stage
you tell him bro
They discovered Limp Bizkit. So trashing them would only hurt them selfs. He's only mentioning that when you do a cover, state that its not your song.
i heard the ministry original and i think i prefer LB's version. They did a good job on that cover because of how fun it is when played live
I agree although the next album may change all that.
c'mon, where is your next heroic reply?
Thieves is brutal bro.I will open every live concert with that shit😜
Not to mention they haven't written their own songs since the late 90s.
Korn has the same writing team as Evanescence and Avril Lavigne.
As you can see him jamming out on the side of the stage at Woodstock 🙄
Isn't that what I said? Korn signed Limp Bizkit on their record. limp Bizkit got known for it. So Limp Bizkit became well known because of KoRn. Sounds the same too me.
I'm no Limp Bizkit fan but it's not their fault the kids didn't read the sleeve notes to realise it's a cover version
I can totally relate to Jonathan's reaction. Ministry is legendary. Personally my favorite band. Al Jourgenson is a genius. 😎🖤
when I say get up, u getta fuck up!!
The best cover I've ever heard.
Sorry Jonathan.
He meant it Figuratively not Literally!
You know what, you know what, it's all in the family
well if those kids thought that is not the Fred's fault... Limp Bizkit never said Thieves was their song
fred and jonathan... actually friends....dont know if you knew that...or not...
If U say so. I'm not afraid of anybody that was sexually abused. Sorry.
What a strange thing to be upset over
Same type of strumming but higher octives! Second they didn't copy the whole song. They (Munky and Head) didn't have that in mind when they played that riff.
Could you play that Korn song word up?
He is always criticizing limp bizkit... no matter the reason, he is happy just making bad comments about Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit... Is a Classic thing from Jonathan Davis
Nope, written with "help" from The Firm.
I can vouch on that some of us Death metal guys listen to some strange shit...believe me
JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR YEAH!
It is a Limp Bizkit song
What about another brick in the wall and Word up ?????!!!
Mike Scaccia would be spinning in his fucking grave
No wonder there were riots at Woodstock 1999 if they played this rape of a song..
Without Ministry there would be no Korn OR Limp Bizkit.
Four words for all the ppls who don't like this video - "Freak on a leash"
What he is talking about thieves cover by limp bizkit is more rocking than another brick in the wall cover of yours
jonathan davis tryna keep korn relevant by jumping on the anti-limp bandwagon...
Bands cover songs all the time wutever... Korn an LB need to do a forreal battle song... I like both of the bands
The red cap does need a slap!
So do you
@@malachiwilt3891 fuck you

Well, technically he never said he didn't like the cover, he just said he didn't like how people thought it was LB's song.
@StretchDouche - yeh I mean "word up" was from Cameo and Korn played it and even put in an album and made a videoclip, as far as I know Limp Bizkit only played thieves live, so I don't understand why all the hate.. :s
He is vearing Marylin Manson shirt. YEAH DUDE! \m/
Yeah man, Limp Bizkit are signed to Wayne's Label and did a single with him this year.
ok thanks

Limp Bizkit’s cover was trying too hard to duplicate the song’s original sound. KoRn’s covers still sound like KoRn.
And also KoRn founded Limp Bizkit.
Keep that like/dislike bar in balance as a sign for freedom of speech/opinion!!!
Nice to see JD worry so much about disrespectfulness, but how can he fckn doubt, LB did it with respect?
Where does the friendship end?
(OK, I'm kidding and just wanted to recall some old lyrics for fun.)
This was a long time ago guys, get over it, i love KORN and limp bizkit !
they also butchered "opiate" by tool
Limp Bizkits cover (Which is honestly sick) led me to listen to Ministry so...
Also John didnt at ALL clarify who did the original in this clip so like...whos this helping?
Whats that?.. Is you looking in da mirror..?
Well, while that may not count as "founded" it certainly illustrates that Limp Bizkit rode their relationship with Korn to the top.
calm down jon, not freds fault kids think that way. besides, fred could kick your ass anyday of the week
Davis has been whining about Limp Bizkit since they emerged from Jacksonville. Meanwhile Korn did shit of cover like Another Brick in the Wall which few dumb kids I known thought is song by them. Never seen Durst or Borland whine about it.
What the fuck. I know it's Al's shit? What Bizkit fan doesn't listen to Land of Rape and Honey and Mind is...
Hey I love both the Limp Bizkit cover and the Ministry version. Both get me hyped so eh whatever Johnny
Punch Fred in the face! Yeah! Lol
Sorry but Fred's grown up fighting his whole life, I love korn a shit ton but fred would knock John the fuck out
So it's Limp Bizkit's fault that younger fans don't know about Ministry? The way I see it, the best way to keep older good music around is for newer bands to cover the tracks. its ministry
It was only a clip from Fix: The Ministry Movie.
nobody thought that was limp bizkit song. what the fuck j. davis talking about. it was a remake a song that used to get the crowed going.
